1 Samuel 16
1 Og Herren sagde til Samuel: Hvor længe vil du sørge for Saul? og jeg har forkastet ham, at han ikke skal være Konge over Israel; fyld dit Horn med Olie og gak hen, jeg vil sende dig til Bethlehemiteren Isai, thi jeg har udset mig en Konge iblandt hans Sønner.
And he said Yahweh to Samuel until when? [are] you mourning to Saul and I I have rejected him from reigning over Israel fill horn your oil and go I will send you to Jesse [the] Beth-lehemite for I have seen among sons his for myself a king.
2 Men Samuel sagde: Hvorledes kan jeg gaa? thi Saul skulde høre det og slaa mig ihjel; da sagde Herren: Tag en Kalv af Kvæget med dig, og du skal sige: Jeg er kommen at slagte Slagtoffer for Herren.
And he said Samuel how? will I go and he will hear Saul and he will kill me. And he said Yahweh a heifer of cattle you will take in hand your and you will say to sacrifice to Yahweh I have come.
3 Og du skal byde Isai til det Slagtoffer; og jeg vil lade dig vide, hvad du skal gøre, og du skal salve mig den, som jeg siger dig.
And you will invite Jesse at the sacrifice and I I will make known to you [that] which you will do and you will anoint for me [the one] whom I will say to you.
4 Og Samuel gjorde det, som Herren sagde, og kom til Bethlehem; da forfærdedes de Ældste i Staden og gik ham i Møde og sagde: Er det med Fred, at du kommer?
And he did Samuel [that] which he said Yahweh and he came Beth-lehem and they trembled [the] elders of the city to meet him and someone said [in] peace [are] coming? you.
5 Og han sagde: Det er med Fred, jeg er kommen for at slagte Slagtoffer for Herren, helliger eder og kommer med mig til Slagtofret; og han helligede Isai og hans Sønner og indbød dem til Ofringen.
And he said - peace to sacrifice to Yahweh I have come consecrate yourselves and you will come with me at the sacrifice and he consecrated Jesse and sons his and he invited them to the sacrifice.
6 Og det skete, der de kom, da saa han Eliab; og han tænkte: Visseligen er han for Herren hans salvede.
And it was when came they and he saw Eliab and he said surely [is] before Yahweh anointed his.
7 Og Herren sagde til Samuel: Se ikke til hans Anseelse eller til hans høje Vækst, thi jeg har forkastet ham; thi jeg agter ikke det, som et Menneske ser paa; thi et Menneske ser det, som er for Øjnene, men Herren ser til Hjertet.
And he said Yahweh to Samuel may not you look to appearance his and to [the] height of stature his for I have rejected him for - not [that] which he sees man for man he sees to the eyes and Yahweh he sees to the heart.
8 Da kaldte Isai ad Abinadab og lod ham gaa forbi for Samuels Ansigt, og han sagde: Denne har Herren ikke heller udvalgt.
And he called Jesse to Abinadab and he made pass by him before Samuel and he said also this one not he has chosen Yahweh.
9 Derefter lod Isai Samma gaa forbi, og han sagde: Denne har Herren ikke heller udvalgt.
And he made pass by Jesse Shammah and he said also this one not he has chosen Yahweh.
10 Saa lod Isai sine syv Sønner gaa forbi for Samuels Ansigt; men Samuel sagde til Isai: Herren har ikke udvalgt disse.
And he made pass by Jesse seven of sons his before Samuel and he said Samuel to Jesse not he has chosen Yahweh these.
11 Fremdeles sagde Samuel til Isai: Er det alle Drengene? og han sagde: Den yngste er endnu tilbage, og se, han vogter Smaakvæg; da sagde Samuel til Isai: Send hen og lad ham hente, thi vi sætte os ikke til Bords, før han kommer hid.
And he said Samuel to Jesse ¿ are they finished the young men and he said still he remains the young [one] and there! [he is] shepherding the flock and he said Samuel to Jesse send! and bring him for not we will turn round until comes he here.
12 Da sendte han hen og lod ham føre frem, og han var rødmusset med dejlige Øjne og skøn af Anseelse; da sagde Herren: Staa op, salv ham, thi ham er det.
And he sent and he brought him and he [was] red with beautiful of eyes and good of appearance. And he said Yahweh arise anoint him for this [is] he.
13 Saa tog Samuel Oliehornet og salvede ham midt iblandt hans Brødre, og Herrens Aand kom heftig over David fra den samme Dag og fremdeles; derefter gjorde Samuel sig rede og gik til Rama.
And he took Samuel [the] horn of oil and he anointed him in [the] midst of brothers his and it rushed [the] spirit of Yahweh to David from the day that and on-wards and he arose Samuel and he went Ramah towards.
14 Men Herrens Aand veg fra Saul, og en ond Aand fra Herren forfærdede ham.
And [the] spirit of Yahweh it departed from with Saul and it terrified him a spirit evil from with Yahweh.
15 Da sagde Sauls Tjenere til ham: Se, kære, en ond Aand fra Gud forfærder dig.
And they said [the] servants of Saul to him here! please a spirit of God evil [is] terrifying you.
16 Vor Herre sige dog til dine Tjenere, som staa for dit Ansigt, at de opsøge en Mand, som forstaar at lege paa Harpe; og det skal ske, naar den onde Aand fra Gud er over dig, og hin leger med sin Haand, da skal det blive godt med dig.
Let him say please lord our servants your before you let them seek a person [who] knows playing on the harp and it will be when is on you a spirit of God evil and he will play with hand his and good [will belong] to you.
17 Da sagde Saul til sine Tjenere: Kære, ser mig om efter en Mand, som kan lege godt, og fører ham til mig.
And he said Saul to servants his see please for me a person [who] does well to play and you will bring [him] to me.
18 Da svarede een af de unge Karle og sagde: Se, jeg saa Bethlehemiteren Isais Søn, han forstaar at lege og er vældig til Strid, en Krigsmand og forstandig i Ord, en Mand, som er dejlig af Skikkelse, og Herren er med ham.
And he answered one from the young men and he said here! I have seen a son of Jesse [the] Beth-lehemite [who] knows to play and a mighty [man] of strength and a man of war and [one] discerning of word and a man of form and Yahweh [is] with him.
19 Da sendte Saul Bud til Isai og lod sige: Send til mig David, din Søn, som er hos Smaakvæget.
And he sent Saul messengers to Jesse and he said send! to me David son your who [is] with the flock.
20 Da tog Isai et Asen tillige med Brød og en Flaske Vin og et Gedekid og sendte det ved David sin Søns Haand til Saul.
And he took Jesse a donkey bread and a skin-bottle of wine and a kid of goats one and he sent [them] by [the] hand of David son his to Saul.
21 Saa kom David til Saul og stod for hans Ansigt; og han elskede ham saare, og han blev hans Vaabendrager.
And he came David to Saul and he stood before him and he loved him exceedingly and he was of him bearer of armor.
22 Derefter sendte Saul til Isai og lod sige: Kære, lad David staa for mit Ansigt, thi han har fundet Naade for mine Øjne.
And he sent Saul to Jesse saying let him stand please David before me for he has found favor in view my.
23 Og det skete, naar Aanden fra Gud var over Saul, da tog David Harpen og legede med sin Haand; og Saul blev vederkvæget, og det blev godt med ham, og den onde Aand veg fra ham.
And it was when was a spirit of God to Saul and he took David the harp and he played with hand his and it was relief to Saul and good [belonged] to him and it departed from on him [the] spirit of evil.
