1 Hvad Portnernes Skifter angaar, saa var der af Koriterne Meselemia, Kores Søn, af Asafs Børn.
To the courses of the door-keepers, pertained, —of the Korahites, Meshelemiah son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph;
2 Og Meselemia havde Sønner: Sakaria den førstefødte, Jedial den anden, Sebadja den tredje, Jathniel den fjerde,
and, Meshelemiah, had sons, —Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth;
3 Elam den femte, Johanan den sjette, Eljoenaj den syvende.
Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.
4 Og Obed-Edom havde Sønner: Semaja den førstefødte, Josabad den anden, Joa den tredje og Sakar den fjerde og Nethaneel den femte,
And, Obed-edom, had sons, —Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Josh the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth;
5 Ammiel den sjette, Isaskar den syvende, Peulthaj den ottende; thi Gud havde velsignet ham.
Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai, the eighth, —for God had blessed him.
6 Og for hans Søn Semaja bleve Sønner fødte, som herskede i deres Fædres Hus; thi de vare vældige i Styrke.
And, to Shemaiah his son, were born sons, who bare rule to their ancestral house, —for, heroes of valour, were they.
7 Semajas Sønner vare: Othni og Refael og Obed, Elsabad, hans Brødre, duelige Folk, Elihu og Semakja.
the sons of Shemaiah, were Othni and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren were sons of valour, —Elihu, and Semachiah.
8 Alle disse vare af Obed-Edoms Sønner, de med deres Sønner og deres Brødre, duelige Mænd og stærke til Tjenesten; der var to og tresindstyve af Obed-Edom.
All these, were of the sons of Obed-edom, they and their sons and their brethren, able men in strength for the service, —sixty-two, pertaining to Obed-edom.
9 Og Meselemias Sønner og Brødre, duelige Folk, vare atten.
And, Meshelemiah, had sons, and brethren, sons of valour, eighteen.
10 Og Hosa af Meraris Børn havde Sønner: Simri var den første, enddog han ikke var den førstefødte, men hans Fader havde sat ham til at være den første;
And, Hosah of the sons of Merari, had sons, —Shimri the chief, for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father, made him, chief.
11 Hilkia den anden, Tebalia den tredje, Sakaria den fjerde; alle Hosas Sønner og Brødre vare tretten.
Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth, —all the sons and brethren of Hosah, were thirteen.
12 Efter disse, nemlig Mændenes Øverster, faldt Portnernes Skifter til Vagterne, i Forening med deres Brødre, for at gøre Tjeneste i Herrens Hus.
To these, belonged the courses of door-keepers, to the chiefs of the strong men, belonged charges, equally with their brethren, —to be in attendance in the house of Yahweh.
13 Og de kastede Lod, saavel for den yngste som for den ældste, efter deres Fædres Hus, til hver Port.
Yea they cast lots, as the small so the great, by their ancestral house, for every several gate.
14 Og Lodden imod Østen faldt for Selemia; og de kastede Lod for hans Søn Sakaria, en klog Raadgiver, og hans Lod faldt ud imod Norden.
And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. And, for Zechariah his son, a discreet counsellor, they cast lots, and his lot came out, northward.
15 For Obed-Edom faldt Lodden imod Sønden, og for hans Sønner imod Skatkamrenes Hus.
To Obed-edom, southward, —and, to his sons, the storehouse.
16 For Suppim og for Hosa faldt Lodden imod Vesten ved Skalleket Port, paa Vejen, som gaar op ad; der var Vagt over for Vagt.
To Shuppim and to Hosah, westward, near the refuse-gate, in the causeway that goeth up, —one ward as well as another.
17 Imod Østen vare seks af Leviterne, imod Norden vare fire hver Dag, imod Sønden fire hver Dag og ved Skatkamrene to og to.
Eastward—daily, were six, —northward—daily, four, southward—daily, four, and, for the stores, two and two.
18 Ved Parbar imod Vesten: Fire var der paa Vejen, to hen imod Parbar.
For the precinct—westward, four, at the causeway, two—by the precinct.
19 Disse vare Portnernes Skifter af Koriternes Børn og af Meraris Børn.
These, were the courses of the door-keepers, of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.
20 Men af Leviterne var Ahia over Guds Hus's Skatte og de hellige Tings Skatte.
And, the Levites, their brethren, were over the treasuries of the house of God, even to the treasuries of hallowed things.
21 Ladans Sønner, nemlig Gersonitens Sønner af Ladan, Øversterne for Gersoniten Ladans Fædrenehuse, var Jehieli.
The sons of Ladan—the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan—the ancestral chiefs belonging to Ladan the Gershonite, were Jehieli;
22 Jehielis Sønner vare Setham og Joel, hans Broder, som vare over Herrens Hus's Skatte.
the sons of Jehieli, Zetham and Joel his brother who were over the treasuries of the house of Yahweh.
23 Af Amramiterne, af Jizehariterne, af Hebroniterne, af Ussieliterne,
Then came certain of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites.
24 var Sebuel en Søn af Gersom, Moses Søn, Opsynsmand over Skattene.
And, Shebuel, son of Gershom, son of Moses, was chief ruler over the treasuries.
25 Men hvad angaar hans Brødre, dem af Elieser, saa var dennes Søn Rehabia og dennes Søn Jesaja og dennes Søn Joram og dennes Søn Sikri og dennes Søn Selomoth.
And, his brethren pertaining to Eliezer, were Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.
26 Denne Selomoth og hans Brødre vare over alle Skattene af de hellige Ting, som Kong David samt Øversterne for Fædrenehusene, Høvedsmændene over tusinde, over hundrede og Stridshøvedsmændene havde helliget.
The same Shelomoth and his brethren, were over all the treasuries of the hallowed things, which David the king and the ancestral chiefs, with the captains of thousands and hundreds and the captains of the army, had hallowed:
27 Fra Krigene og af Byttet havde de helliget det til at udbedre Herrens Hus med.
out of the battles and out of the spoil, had they hallowed [them], —to strengthen [the provision] for the house of Yahweh.
28 Og alt hvad Samuel, Seeren og Saul, Kis's Søn, og Abner, Ners Søn, og Joab, Zerujas Søn, havde helliget, alt hvad hver havde helliget, det var under Selomiths og hans Brødres Haand.
And, all that Samuel the seer, and Saul son of Kish, and Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah, had hallowed, whosoever had hallowed anything, it was under the direction of Shelomoth, and his brethren.
29 Af Jizehariterne vare Kenanja og hans Sønner beskikkede over Israel, til den udvortes Gerning, som Fogeder og som Dommere.
Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons, were for the outward business over Israel, —as officers, and as judges.
30 Af Hebroniterne vare Hasabia og hans Brødre, duelige Folk, tusinde og syv Hundrede, beskikkede over Embederne i Israel paa denne Side Jordanen imod Vesten, til alle Haande Herrens Gerning og til Kongens Tjeneste.
Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, sons of valour, one thousand seven hundred, had the oversight of Israel, across the Jordan westward, —for all the business of Yahweh, and for the service of the king.
31 Af Hebroniterne var Jerija den Øverste for Hebroniterne efter deres Slægter, efter deres Fædrenehuse; i det fyrretyvende Aar af Davids Regering blev der søgt og fundet iblandt dem vældige Helte i Jaeser i Gilead.
Of the Hebronites, Jerijah, was chief, [he was] of the Hebronites by his generations, by his fathers, —in the fortieth year of the reign of David, were they sought out, and there were found among them heroes of valour, in Jazer of Gilead;
32 Og hans Brødre vare duelige Mænd, to Tusinde og syv Hundrede, Øverster for Fædrenehuse; og Kong David satte dem over Rubeniterne og Gaditerne og den halve Manasses Stamme i alle Guds Sager og alle Kongens Sager.
and, his brethren that were heroes of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred, ancestral chiefs, —so David the king gave them oversight, over the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half tribe of Manassites, in all the affairs of God, and the affairs of the king.
