Første Krønikebog 25

1 Og David og Stridshøvedsmændene udtoge til Tjeneste af Asafs og Hemans og Jeduthuns Børn dem, som skulde profetere med Harper og med Psaltre og med Cymbler, og Tallet paa Mændene efter deres Embedsgerning var:

Moreover David and the chief. officers of the army separated for the ministry the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Idithun: to prophesy with harps, and with psalteries, and with cymbals according to their number serving in their appointed office.

2 Af Asafs Børn: Sakur og Josef og Nathania og Asareela, Asafs Sønner, under Asaf, som profeterede efter Kongens Anvisning;

Of the sons of Asaph: Zacchur, and Joseph, and Nathania, and Asarela, sons of Asaph: under the hand of Asaph prophesying near the king.

3 af Jeduthun: Jeduthuns Sønner vare: Gedalja og Zeri og Jesaja og Hasabja og Mathithja, i alt seks, med Harper, under deres Fader Jeduthun, som profeterede ved at takke og love Herren;

And of Idithun: the sons of Idithun, Godolias, Serf, Jeseias, and Hasabias, and Mathathias, six, under the hand of their father Idithun, who prophesied with a harp to give thanks and to praise the Lord.

4 af Heman: Hemans Sønner vare: Bukkija, Mathanja, Ussiel, Sebuel og Jerimoth, Hananja, Hanani, Eliatha, Giddalthi og Romamthi-Eser, Josbekasa, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahasioth.

Of Heman also: the sons of Heman, Bocciau, Mathaniau, Oziel, Subuel, and Jerimoth, Hananias, Hanani, Eliatha, Geddelthi, and Romemthiezer, and Jesbacassa, Mellothi, Othir, Mahazioth:

5 Alle disse vare Sønner af Heman, Kongens Seer i Guds Ord, de skulde lade Hornet lyde; og Gud havde givet Heman fjorten Sønner og tre Døtre.

All these were the sons of Heman the seer of the king in the words of God, to lift up the horn: and God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 Alle disse vare under deres Fædre ved Sangen i Herrens Hus, med Cymbler, Psaltre og Harper til Guds Hus's Tjeneste, efter Kongens, Asafs og Jeduthuns og Hemans Anvisning.

All these under their father’s hand were distributed to sing in the temple of the Lord, with cymbals, and psalteries and harps, for the service of the house of the Lord near the king: to wit, Asaph, and Idithun, and Heman.

7 Og deres Tal tillige med deres Brødres, som vare oplærte i Herrens Sang, alle Mestrene vare to Hundrede, otte og firsindstyve.

And the number of them with their brethren, that taught the song of the Lord, all the teachers, were two hundred and eighty-eight,

8 Og de kastede Lod om, hvad de skulde tage Vare paa, saavel den yngste som den ældste, saavel Mesteren som Lærlingen.

And they cast lots by their courses, the elder equally with the younger, the learned and the unlearned together.

9 Og den første Lod kom ud for Asaf, nemlig for Josef; den anden for Gedalja, ham og hans Brødre og hans Sønner, i alt tolv;

And the first lot came forth to Joseph, who was of Asaph. The second to Godolias, to him and his sons, and his brethren twelve.

10 den tredje for Sakur, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The third to Zachur, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

11 den fjerde for Jizri, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The fourth to Isari, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

12 den femte for Nethania, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The fifth to Nathania, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

13 den sjette for Bukkija, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The sixth to Bocciau, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

14 den syvende for Isareela, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The seventh to Isreela, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

15 den ottende for Jesaja, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The eighth to Jesaia, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

16 den niende for Mathanja, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The ninth to Mathanaias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

17 den tiende for Simei, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The tenth to Semeias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

18 den ellevte for Asareel, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The eleventh to Azareel, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

19 den tolvte for Hasabia, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The twelfth to Hasabia, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

20 den trettende for Subael, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The thirteenth to Subael, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

21 den fjortende for Mathithja, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The fourteenth to Mathathias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

22 den femtende for Jerimoth, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The fifteenth to Jerimoth, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

23 den sekstende for Hananja, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The sixteenth to Hananias, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

24 den syttende for Josbekasa, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The seventeenth to Jesbacassa, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

The eighteenth to Hanani, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

The nineteenth to Mellothi, to his sons and his brethren twelve.

27 den tyvende for Eliatha, hans Sønner og hans Brødre, i alt tolv;

The twentieth to Eliatha, to his sons and his brethren twelve.
