Første Krønikebog 24
1 Men for Arons Børn vare Skifterne disse: Arons Sønner vare Nadab og Abihu, Eleasar og Ithamar.
And [they number] the sons of Aaron in [their] division, Nadab, and Abiud, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2 Men Nadab og Abihu døde for deres Faders Ansigt, og de havde ingen Børn; og Eleasar og Ithamar gjorde Præstetjeneste.
And Nadab and Abiud died before their father, and they had no sons: so Eleazar and Ithamar the sons of Aaron ministered as priests.
3 Og David tillige med Zadok af Eleasars Børn og Akimelek af Ithamars Børn inddelte dem til deres Embede i deres Tjeneste.
And David distributed them, even Sadoc of the sons of Eleazar, and Achimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their numbering, according to their service, according to the houses of their fathers.
4 Og der blev flere fundne af Eleasars Børn, som vare Øverster for Mændene, end af Ithamars Børn, da de delte dem; af Eleasars Børn var der seksten Øverster for deres Fædrenehuse, men af Ithamars Børn for deres Fædrenehuse var der otte.
And there were found [amongst] the sons of Eleazar more chiefs of the mighty ones, than of the sons of Ithamar: and he divided them, sixteen heads of families to the sons of Eleazar, eight according to [their] families to the sons of Ithamar.
5 Og de inddelte dem efter Lodkastning, disse med hine; thi der havde været Helligdommens Fyrster og Guds Fyrster saavel af Eleasars Børn som af Ithamars Børn.
And he divided them according to their lots, one with the other; for there were those who had charge of the holy things, and those who had charge of the [house] of the Lord amongst the sons of Eleazar, and amongst the sons of Ithamar.
6 Og Semaja, Nethaneels Søn, Skriveren, en af Leviterne, opskrev dem i Paasyn af Kongen og Fyrsterne, og Zadok, Præsten, og Akimelek, Abjathars Søn, og Øversterne for Fædrenehusene blandt Præsterne og Leviterne; et Fædrenehus blev udtrukket for Eleasar, et andet blev skiftevis udtrukket for Ithamar.
And Samaias the son of Nathanael, the scribe, [of the family] of Levi, wrote them down before the king, and the princes, and Sadoc the priest, and Achimelech the son of Abiathar [were present]; and the heads of the families of the priests and the Levites, each of a household [were assigned] one to Eleazar, and one to Ithamar.
7 Den første Lod kom ud for Jojarib, den anden for Jedaja,
And the first lot came out to Joarim, the second to Jedia,
8 den tredje for Harim, den fjerde for Seorim,
the third to Charib, the fourth to Seorim,
9 den femte for Malkia, den sjette for Mijamin,
the fifth to Melchias, the sixth to Meiamin,
10 den syvende for Hakkoz, den ottende for Abia,
the seventh to Cos, the eighth to Abia,
11 den niende for Jesua, den tiende for Sekania,
the ninth to Jesus, the tenth to Sechenias,
12 den ellevte for Eljasib, den tolvte for Jakim,
the eleventh to Eliabi, the twelfth to Jacim,
13 den trettende for Hufa, den fjortende for Jesebab,
the thirteenth to Oppha, the fourteenth to Jesbaal,
14 den femtende for Bilga, den sekstende for Immer,
the fifteenth to Belga, the sixteenth to Emmer,
15 den syttende for Hesir, den attende for Hafizez,
the seventeenth to Chezin, the eighteenth to Aphese,
16 den nittende for Petakia, den tyvende for Ezekiel,
the nineteenth to Phetaea, the twentieth to Ezekel,
17 den en og tyvende for Jakin, den to og tyvende for Gamul,
the twenty-first to Achim, the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 den tre og tyvende for Delaja, den fire og tyvende for Maaseja.
the twenty-third to Adallai, the twenty-fourth to Maasai.
19 Disses Embedsgerning var det at gaa ind i Herrens Hus, som deres Vis var, efter deres Faders, Arons, Anvisning, saaledes som Herren, Israels Gud havde budt ham.
This [is] their numbering according to their service to go into the house of the Lord, according to their appointment by the hand of Aaron their father, as the Lord God of Israel commanded.
20 Og hvad de øvrige af Levis Børn angaar, da var der af Amrams Sønner Subael, af Subaels Sønner Jedeja.
And for the sons of Levi that were left, [even] for the sons of Ambram, Sobael: for the sons of Sobael, Jedia.
21 Hvad Rehabia angaar, da var af Rehabias Sønner Jissija den første.
For Raabia, the chief [was Isaari],
22 Af Jizehariterne var der Selomoth, af Selomoths Sønner var der Jahath;
and for Isaari, Salomoth: for the sons of Salomoth, Jath.
23 og Jerijas Sønner: Amaria var den anden, Jehasiel den tredje, Jekameam den fjerde.
The sons of Ecdiu; Amadia the second, Jaziel the third, Jecmoam the fourth.
24 Af Ussiels Sønner var der Mika, af Mikas Sønner var der Samir.
For the sons of Oziel, Micha: the sons of Micha; Samer.
25 Jissija var Mikas Broder; af Jissijas Sønner var der Sakaria.
The brother of Micha; Isia, the son of Isia; Zacharia.
26 Meraris Sønner vare: Maheli og Musi, Børn af hans Søn Jasia.
The sons of Merari, Mooli, and Musi: the sons of Ozia,
27 Meraris Børn af hans Søn Jasia vare baade Skoam og Sakur og Ibri.
[That is, the sons] of Merari by Ozia, —his sons [were] Isoam, and Sacchur, and Abai.
28 Af Maheli var der Eleasar, og han havde ingen Sønner.
To Mooli [were born] Eleazar, and Ithamar; and Eleazar died, and had no sons.
29 Hvad Kis angaar, Kis's Sønner vare Jeramel.
For Kis; the sons of Kis; Jerameel.
30 Og Musis Sønner vare: Maheli og Eder og Jerimoth; disse ere Leviternes Børn efter deres Fædres Hus.
And the sons of Musi; Mooli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These [were] the sons of the Levites according to the houses of their families.
31 Ogsaa de kastede Lod ligesom deres Brødre, Arons Børn, i Paasyn af Kong David og Zadok og Akimelek, og Øversterne for Fædrenehusene iblandt Præsterne og Leviterne, Øversten for Fædrenehuset saavel som hans yngste Broder.
And they also received lots as their brethren the sons of Aaron before the king; Sadoc also, and Achimelech, and the chiefs of the families of the priests and of the Levites, principal heads of families, even as their younger brethren.
