1 Kristus existoval od věčnosti, byl stále s Bohem Otcem a byl to Bůh sám. On byl tvořícím Božím Slovem, kterým vše vzniklo a trvá.
IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word himself was with Aloha, and Aloha was the Word himself.
This was in the beginning with Aloha.
Every thing by his hand was made; and without him also was not one thing made that was made.
4 Je zdrojem všeho života a pro lidi světlem na cestě k Bohu.
In him was life, and the life is the light of the sons of man;
5 To světlo přemáhá temnotu světa, ale ta ho nikdy nepřekoná.
and the Light himself in the darkness shineth, and the darkness perceived him not.
6 Bůh pověřil muže, který se jmenoval Jan (zvaný Křtitel),
There was a man who was sent from Aloha, his name (was) Juchanon.
7 aby svědčil o Ježíši a vedl lidi k víře, že Ježíš je tím světlem.
He came for the testimony, to testify concerning the Light, that all men might believe through his ministry.
8 Jan nikdy ani nenaznačil, že by jím byl on sám.
He was not the Light himself, but came to testify concerning the Light.
9 Ježíš je to pravé světlo, které září vstříc každému člověku.
For that was the true Light that enlighteneth every man who cometh into the world.
10 Přišel na zem, kterou stvořil a k lidem, které miloval, ale oni ho nepřijali.
In the world was he, and the world by his hand had been made, and the world knew him not.
He came to his own, and his own received him not.
12 Těm však, kteří ho přece přijali a uvěřili v něho, otevřel přístup do Boží rodiny.
But they who received him, he gave to them power, that the sons of Aloha they should become, to those who believe in his name.
13 Nestali se jejími členy rodem ani lidským úsilím, ale Božím působením.
These, not from blood, nor from the will of the flesh, nor from the will of man, but from Aloha, are born.
14 A věčné Slovo se stalo člověkem, který žil mezi námi. Viděli jsme jeho vznešenost, vznešenost vlastní jedinému Božímu Synu. Poznali jsme jej plného lásky a pravdy.
And the Word flesh was made, and tabernacled with us; and we saw his glory, the glory as of the one-begotten who (was) from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 Také Jan Křtitel o něm vydával jasné svědectví: „To je ten, který jde sice za mnou, ale je mnohem významnější a byl dávno přede mnou.“
Juchanon testified concerning him, and cried, and said, This is he of whom I said, that he cometh after me, and was before me, because he is anterior to me.
16 Z jeho bohatství jsme přijímali dar za darem.
And from his fulness we all have received, and grace for grace.
17 Mojžíšovým prostřednictvím nám Bůh sdělil požadavky svého zákona, ale v Ježíši Kristu jsme se setkali s Božím milosrdenstvím a pravdou.
For the law by the hand of Musha was given; but the truth and the grace were by Jeshu Meshicha.
18 Boha nikdo z lidí neviděl; jenom ten, který má k němu blízko jako jediný Syn k Otci, nám o něm sdělil pravdu.
ALOHA no man hath ever seen: the one-begotten God, he who is in the bosom of his Father, he hath declared him.
19 Z Jeruzaléma přišla za Janem Křtitelem delegace židovských kněží s otázkou, zda je očekávaný Mesiáš – Boží Syn, izraelský král.
And this was the testimony of Juchanon, when the Jihudoyee sent to him from Urishlem priests and Levoyee to demand of him, Who art thou?
20 „Ne, nejsem Mesiáš, “řekl jim Jan otevřeně. „Kdo tedy jsi?“zeptali se ho znovu. „Jsi prorok Elijáš?“„Nejsem.“
And he confessed, and denied not, but confessed, I am not the Meshicha.
And they asked him again, What then? art thou Elia? And he said, I am not. Art thou the Prophet? And he said, No.
22 „Tak řekni, kdo jsi. Musíme o tobě podat zprávu těm, kteří nás poslali. Jsi tedy jiný Mesiášův předchůdce?“
And they said to him, And who art thou? that we may give an answer to those who sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23 „Nedávejte mi žádný titul. Jsem hlas, který na poušti volá: Upravte cestu pro Pána. Tak to předpověděl prorok Izajáš.“
He saith, I am the voice which crieth in the wilderness, Make plain the way of the Lord, as said Eshaia the prophet.
24 Protože Janovu odpověď nepochopili, ptali se dál: „Když tedy nejsi Mesiáš, ani jeho předchůdce, proč křtíš?“
But they who were sent were from the Pharishee.
And they demanded and said to him, Why then baptizest thou, if thou art not the Meshicha, nor Elia, nor the Prophet?
26 Jan odpověděl: „Divíte se, že křtím. Ale co budete říkat tomu muži, který přichází za mnou? Ještě ho neznáte, ale je už mezi vámi. Jemu nejsem hoden ani obuv rozvázat.“
Juchanon answered and said to them, I baptize you with waters; but he standeth among you whom you know not:
he it is who cometh after me, and he was before me; he, the latchets of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose.
28 To se stalo v Betanii u Jordánu, kde Jan křtil.
These things were done in Bethania, at the passage of the Jurdan, where Juchanon was baptizing.
29 Druhého dne spatřil Jan Ježíše, jak k němu přichází. Ukázal na něho a řekl: „Beránek Boží, který bere na sebe hříchy celého světa.
AND the day after, Juchanon seeth Jeshu, who was coming to him; and he said, Behold the Lamb of Aloha, who beareth the sin of the world!
30 To o něm jsem vám včera řekl, že za mnou jde mnohem významnější muž, který byl dávno přede mnou.
This is he concerning whom I said, After me cometh a man, and he was before me, because he is anterior to me.
31 Když jsem byl pověřen, abych křtil a připravoval izraelský lid na příchod Mesiáše, ještě jsem nevěděl, kdo to je.
And I knew him not, but that he should be made known unto Isroel, therefore have I come with waters to baptize.
32 Bůh mi však řekl: ‚Dávej pozor, na koho při křtu sestoupí můj Duch a zůstane na něm. To je ten, kdo bude křtít Duchem svatým.‘Pak jsem viděl, jak se Boží Duch v podobě holubice snáší z nebe na Ježíše. Do té chvíle jsem ho neznal, ale protože se to na něm vyplnilo, vydávám svědectví, že je Boží Syn.“
And Juchanon testified and said, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven as a dove, and it remained upon him.
And I knew him not: but he who sent me to baptize with water, he said to me, He upon whom thou seest the Spirit descend and remain, this baptizeth with the Spirit of Holiness:
and I saw, and bare witness that this is the Son of Aloha
35 Příštího dne, asi ve čtyři hodiny odpoledne, stál Jan se dvěma svými učedníky.
And the day after Juchanon stood, and two of his disciples;
36 Opět spatřil Ježíše, jak jde okolo a zvolal: „Podívejte se, to je Boží Beránek!“
and, contemplating Jeshu as he walked, he said, Behold the Lamb of Aloha!
37 Když to Janovi učedníci uslyšeli, vydali se za Ježíšem.
And his two disciples heard him as he spake, and they went after Jeshu.
38 Ten se po chvíli ohlédl a viděl, že ho oba následují. Zeptal se jich: „Přejete si něco?“„Mistře, “odpověděli, „kde bydlíš?“
And Jeshu turned (himself), and saw them coming after him, and said to them, Whom seek you? They say to him, Raban, where dwellest thou?
39 „Pojďte se mnou!“řekl Ježíš. Přijali to pozvání a zůstali ten den u něho.
He saith to them, Come and see. And they went and saw where he dwelt; and they were with him that day: and it was about the tenth hour.
40 Jeden z těch učedníků se jmenoval Ondřej a měl bratra Šimona.
Now one of those who heard Juchanon and went after Jeshu, was Andreas, the brother of Shemun.
41 Po návštěvě u Ježíše vyhledal Ondřej svého bratra a řekl mu: „Nalezli jsme Mesiáše – Krista.“
This saw first Shemun his brother, and said to him, We have found the Meshicha;
42 Pak ho přivedl k Ježíšovi. Ten se na něj zahleděl a řekl: „Ty jsi Šimon, Janův syn. Ode dneška se však budeš jmenovat Petr.“
and he brought him to Jeshu. And Jeshu saw him, and said, Thou art Shemun bar Jona; thou shalt be called Kipha.
43 Příštího dne se Ježíš rozhodl, že půjde do Galileje. Setkal se s Filipem a vyzval ho, aby ho následoval.
AND the day following Jeshu willed to go forth into Galila. And he found Philipos, and said to him, Come after me.
44 Stejně jako Ondřej a Petr pocházel i Filip z Betsaidy.
Now Philipos was from Beth-tsaida, from the city of Andreas and of Shemun.
45 Filip pak vyhledal Natanaela a řekl mu: „Nalezli jsme toho, o kterém hovořil Mojžíš a kterého předpověděli proroci. Jmenuje se Ježíš a je to syn Josefa z Nazaretu.“
Philipos found Nathanael, and said to him, Him of whom Musha in the law, and the prophets, did write we have found, (and) that Jeshu (is) he, the son of Jauseph who is from Natsrath.
46 „Může být z Nazaretu něco dobrého?“zapochyboval Natanael. „Pojď a přesvědč se sám!“řekl Filip.
Saith to him Nathanael, From Natsrath can any good thing be? Philipos saith to him, Come and see.
47 Když Ježíš spatřil Natanaela, řekl: „To je pravý a bezelstný Izraelec.“
And Jeshu saw Nathanael as he was coming to him, and said of him, Behold truly a son of Isroel who hath no guile in him.
48 „Odkud mne znáš?“zeptal se ho překvapeně Natanael. „Viděl jsem tě pod fíkovým stromem dříve, než tě našel Filip, “odpověděl Ježíš.
Nathanael saith to him, Whence knowest thou me? Jeshu saith to him, While yet Philipos had not called thee, while thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee.
49 Natanael s údivem zvolal: „Mistře, ty jsi Boží Syn a izraelský král.“
Nathanael answered and said to him, Rabi, thou art the Son of Aloha himself, thou art the very King of Isroel.
50 Ježíš mu na to řekl: „Ty mi věříš proto, že jsem ti pověděl, jak jsem tě viděl pod fíkovníkem.
Jeshu saith to him, Upon my telling thee that I saw thee under the fig-tree, believest thou? Greater things than these thou shalt see.
51 Uvidíš větší věci a uvěříš, že jsem v neustálém spojení s nebem.“
He saith to him, Amen, amen, I say to you, Hereafter you shall see the heavens opened, and the angels of Aloha ascending and descending unto the Son of man.
