1 Korintským 12
1 Co se týká projevů Božího Ducha, rád bych, abyste v té věci měli jasno.
In spirituall thinges brethren I wolde not have you ignoraunt.
2 Sami víte, že modly, které jste nevšedními dary uctívali, byly mrtvé a němé. Teď se však setkáváte s lidmi, kteří o sobě prohlašují, že jejich ústy mluví Bůh. Jak si to můžete ověřit? Spolehlivým vodítkem je vždy toto: kdo pohrdá Kristem, nejedná z pověření Božího Ducha. A naopak: za Pána prohlašuje Krista jen ten, koho k tomu vede Boží Duch.
Ye knowe that ye were gentyls and went youre wayes vnto domme ydoles even as ye were ledde.
Wherfore I declare vnto you that no man speakynge in the sprete of god defieth Iesus. Also no man can saye that Iesus is the lorde: but by the holy goost.
4 Je mnoho rozmanitých obdarování, ale Duch je jenom jeden.
Ther are diversities of gyftes verely yet but one sprete.
5 Způsoby služby se mohou velice různit, Pán je však stále tentýž.
And ther are differences of administracions and yet but one lorde.
6 Duch se projevuje rozmanitě případ od případu, ale vždycky v každém z nás jde o dílo téhož Boha.
And ther are divers maners of operacions and yet but one God which worketh all thinges that are wrought in all creatures.
7 Jím obdarovaní jednotlivci mají každý svým způsobem sloužit celé církvi:
The gyftes of ye sprete are geven to every man to proffit ye congregacion.
8 jednomu Boží Duch dává schopnost moudře mluvit, jinému skvěle formulovat nejhlubší myšlenky.
To one is geven thorow the spirite the vtteraunce of wisdome? To another is geven the vtteraunce of knowledge by ye same sprete.
9 Jednomu dává tentýž Duch víru, která působí zázraky, jinému schopnost uzdravovat
To another is geuen fayth by ye same sprete. To another ye gyftes of healynge by the same sprete.
10 a jinému zase schopnost velkých činů. Někdo jeho prostřednictvím dovede tlumočit Boží poselství, jiný rozlišovat, z jakého ducha co pochází. A další je obdařen schopností mluvit jinými jazyky a další zase schopností takovou neznámou řeč vyložit srozumitelně.
To another power to do myracles. To another prophesie? To another iudgement of spretes. To another divers tonges. To another the interpretacion of toges.
11 To vše je dílo jednoho a téhož Ducha, který každému jednotlivci přiděluje takové obdarování, jaké uzná za dobré.
And these all worketh eve ye silfe same sprete devydynge to every man severall gyftes even as he will.
12 Křesťanské společenství se dá přirovnat k lidskému tělu, kde je také mnoho údů a orgánů, které tvoří jediný celek.
For as the body is one and hath many mebres and all the membres of one body though they be many yet are but one body: even so is Christ.
13 Tak i každý z nás, ať žid nebo pohan, otrok nebo svobodný občan, byl při křtu začleněn do jednoho společného těla. Způsobil to jeden a týž Duch, kterého nyní společně sdílíme.
For in one sprete are we all baptysed to make one body whether we be Iewes or getyls whether we be bonde or fre: and have all dronke of one sprete.
14 Tělo – to přece není jediný orgán, nýbrž mnoho orgánů.
For the body is not one member but many.
15 Dejme tomu, že by noha řekla: „Já k tělu nepatřím, protože nejsem ruka.“Proto však ještě nepřestává patřit k tělu.
Yf the fote saye: I am not the honde therfore I am not of the body: is he therfore not of ye body:
16 Nebo kdyby řeklo ucho: „Já k tělu nepatřím, když nejsem oko, “přestává snad proto být částí těla?
And if ye eare saye I am not the eye: therfore I am not of the body: is he therfore not of the body?
17 Kdyby celé tělo bylo okem, jak by mohlo slyšet? A kdyby bylo celé uchem, kde by byl čich?
If all the body were an eye where were then the eare? If all were hearynge: where were the smellynge?
18 Bůh však určil každému orgánu zvláštní úlohu v těle, jak sám chtěl.
But now hath god disposed the membres every one of them in the body at his awne pleasure.
19 Kdyby totiž celek byl jediným orgánem, nebylo by tu žádné tělo.
If they were all one member: where were the body?
20 Takto máme mnoho různých orgánů, ale všechny dohromady tvoří jediný organismus.
Now are ther many membres yet but one body.
21 Oko nemůže říci ruce: „Nepotřebuji tě, “ani hlava noze: „Obejdu se bez tebe.“
And the eye can not saye vnto the honde I have no nede of the: nor ye heed also to the fete. I have no nede of you.
22 Spíš naopak: právě ty zdánlivě podřadné orgány jsou nepostradatelné
Ye rather a greate deale those mebres of the body which seme to be most feble are most necessary.
23 a zrovna těm orgánům, za které se stydíme, věnujeme při oblékání zvláštní péči. Bůh zařídil naše tělo tak, aby se „důstojné“údy staraly o „nedůstojné“, aby za ně nesly odpovědnost a aby tělo jako celek bylo jednotné.
And apo those mebres of yt body which we thinke lest honest put we most honestie on. And oure vngodly parties have most beauty on.
For oure honest members nede it not. But God hath so disposed the body ad hath geven most honoure to that parte which laked
lest there shuld be eny stryfe in the body: but that the members shuld indifferetly care one for another.
26 Když trpí jeden orgán, cítí to i všechny ostatní. Když je jeden z nich obdivován, radují se všechny.
And yf one member suffer all suffer with him: yf one member be had in honoure all members be glad also.
27 Vy jste nyní Kristovo tělo a každý z vás je údem či orgánem toho těla.
Ye are the body of Christ and members one of another.
28 V našem společenství ustanovil Bůh jedny jako své vyslance, druhé jako proroky, třetí jako učitele, dalším dal moc k podivuhodným činům, některým schopnost uzdravovat, jiným sílu sloužit potřebným nebo spravovat církev či mluvit jazyky.
And God hath also ordeyned in the congregacion fyrst the Apostels secodarely prophetes thyrdly teachers then the that do miracles: after that the gyftes of healynge helpers governers diversite of tonges.
29 Jsme snad všichni apoštoly? Jsou všichni proroky, všichni učiteli? Mají všichni moc činit divy,
Are all Apostles? Are all Prophetes? Are all teachers? Are all doars of miracles?
30 uzdravovat, mluvit jazyky a vykládat je? On dává organizační schopnosti k vedení církve, ale umění sloužit v maličkostech je také jeho dar.
Have all the gyftes of healinge? Do all speake wt tonges? Do all interprete?
31 Usilujte o ty dary, které jsou jiným nejprospěšnější.
Covet after ye best giftes. Amd yet shewe I vnto you a moare excellent waye.
