1 Což tedy má více Žid nežli pohan? Aneb jaký jest užitek obřízky?
What then is the excellence of the Jihudoya, and what the profit of circumcision?
2 Mnohý všelikterak. Přední zajisté ten, že jest jim svěřen Zákon Boží.
Much in every thing: primarily that they had intrusted (to them) the words of Aloha.
3 Nebo což jest do toho, jestliže byli někteří z nich nevěrní? Zdaliž nevěra jejich věrnost Boží vyprázdní?
For if some of them believed not, would their unbelief abolish the faithfulness of Aloha?
4 Nikoli, nýbrž budiž Bůh pravdomluvný, ale každý člověk lhář, jakož psáno jest: Aby ospravedlněn byl v řečech svých, a přemohl, když by soudil.
Not so: for Aloha is true, and every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mayest be just in thy words, And triumph when they judge thee.
5 Ale jestližeť pak nepravost naše spravedlnost Boží zvelebuje, což díme? Zdali nespravedlivý jest Bůh, jenž uvodí hněv? (Po lidskuť pravím.)
But if our iniquity the righteousness of Aloha establisheth, what shall we say? Is Aloha evil, who bringeth his wrath? As a man do I speak.
6 Nikoli, sic jinak kterakž by Bůh soudil svět?
Not so; otherwise how shall Aloha judge the world?
7 Nebo jestližeť pravda Boží mou lží rozmohla se k slávě jeho, i pročež pak já jako hříšník bývám souzen?
For if the truth of Aloha is promoted by my lie unto his glory, why then am I judged as a sinner?
8 A ne raději (jakž o nás zle mluví a jakož někteří praví, že bychom říkali, ): Èiňme zlé věci, aby přišly dobré? Jichžto spravedlivé jest odsouzení.
Or why, as certain blaspheme concerning us, affirming that we say, Let us do evil, that good may come? they, whose condemnation is reserved by justice.
9 Což tedy? My převyšujeme pohany? Nikoli, nebo jsme již prve dokázali toho, že jsou, i Židé i Řekové, všickni pod hříchem,
What then, have we attained excellence? (No.) For before we decided of the Jihudoyee and of the Aramoyee that they are all under sin;
10 Jakož psáno jest: Že není spravedlivého ani jednoho.
as it is written, None is righteous, not one.
11 Není rozumného, není, kdo by hledal Boha.
None understandeth or seeketh Aloha.
12 Všickni se uchýlili, spolu neužiteční učiněni jsou; není, kdo by činil dobré, není ani jednoho.
All have declined together and are reprobate, And there is none that doeth good, not one.
13 Hrob otevřený hrdlo jejich, jazyky svými lstivě mluvili, jed lítých hadů pod rty jejich.
Open sepulchres are their throats, Their tongues have deceived, And the venom of asps is under their lips.
14 Kterýchžto ústa plná jsou zlořečení a hořkosti.
Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness,
15 Nohy jejich rychlé k vylévání krve.
And their feet are swift to shed blood.
16 Setření a bída na cestách jejich.
Crushing and misery are in their ways;
17 A cesty pokoje nepoznali.
And the way of peace they have not known;
18 Není bázně Boží před očima jejich.
And the fear of Aloha is not before their eyes.
19 Víme pak, že cožkoli Zákon mluví, těm, kteříž jsou pod Zákonem, mluví, aby všeliká ústa zacpána byla a aby vinen byl všecken svět Bohu.
BUT we know that whatever the law saith, to them who are under the law it saith: that every mouth may be shut, and all the world be guilty unto Aloha.
20 Protož z skutků Zákona nebude ospravedlněn žádný člověk před obličejem jeho; nebo skrze Zákon přichází poznání hřícha.
Because by the works of the law no flesh is justified before him; for from the law sin is known.
21 Ale nyní bez Zákona spravedlnost Boží zjevena jest, osvědčená Zákonem i Proroky,
But now, without the law the righteousness of Aloha is revealed, and the law and the prophets (themselves) testify of it.
22 Spravedlnost totiž Boží, skrze víru Ježíše Krista, ke všem a na všecky věřící.
But the righteousness of Aloha is by faith of Jeshu Meshiha, unto all and also upon all who believe in him. For there is no distinction:
23 Neboť není rozdílu. Všickniť zajisté zhřešili, a nemají slávy Boží.
for all have sinned, and have failed of the glory of Aloha;
24 Spravedlivi pak učiněni bývají darmo, milostí jeho, skrze vykoupení, kteréž se stalo v Kristu Ježíši,
and all are justified by grace freely, and (that) through the redemption which is in Jeshu Meshiha,
25 Jehožto Bůh vydal za smírci, skrze víru ve krvi jeho, k ukázání spravedlnosti své, skrze odpuštění předešlých hříchů,
whom Aloha before ordained (to be) a propitiation through faith in his blood for our sins which from the first we had sinned, within the space which Aloha hath given to us in his patience,
26 V shovívání Božím, k dokázání spravedlnosti své v nynějším času, k tomu, aby on spravedlivým byl a ospravedlňujícím toho, jenž jest z víry Ježíšovy.
unto the manifestation of his righteousness which (is) in this time: that he might be just, and might justify in righteousness him who is in the faith of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
27 Kdež jest tedy chlouba tvá? Vyprázdněna jest. Skrze který zákon? Skutků-li? Nikoli, ale skrze zákon víry.
Where, then, is boasting? It is abolished. By what law? of works? No, but by the law of faith.
28 Protož za to máme, že člověk bývá spravedliv učiněn věrou bez skutků Zákona.
We comprehend, therefore, that by faith man is justified, and not by the works of the law.
29 Zdaliž jest toliko Bůh Židů? Zdali také není i pohanů? Ba, jistě i pohanů,
Is Aloha of the Jihudoyee only, and not of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also
30 Poněvadž jeden jest Bůh, kterýž ospravedlňuje obřízku z víry, a neobřízku skrze víru.
Because one is Aloha, who justifieth the circumcision by faith, also the uncircumcision by the same faith.
31 Což tedy Zákon vyprazdňujeme skrze víru? Nikoli, nýbrž Zákon tvrdíme.
Do we therefore the law abolish by faith? Not so, but the law itself we establish.
