Zjevení Janovo 8
1 A když otevřel pečet sedmou, stalo se na nebi mlčení, jako za půl hodiny.
When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in Heaven for about half an hour.
2 I viděl jsem sedm andělů, kteříž stojí před obličejem Božím, jimž dáno sedm trub.
Then I saw the seven angels who are in the presence of God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
3 A jiný anděl přišel a postavil se před oltářem, maje kadidlnici zlatou. I dáni jsou jemu zápalové mnozí, aby je obětoval s modlitbami všechněch svatých na oltáři zlatém, kterýž jest před trůnem.
And another angel came and stood close to the altar, carrying a censer of gold; and abundance of incense was given to him that he might place it with the prayers of all God's people upon the golden altar which was in front of the throne.
4 I vstoupil dým zápalů s modlitbami svatých z ruky anděla až před obličej Boží.
And the smoke of the incense rose into the presence of God from the angel's hand, and mingled with the prayers of His people.
5 I vzal anděl kadidlnici, a naplnil ji ohněm s oltáře, a svrhl ji na zem. I stalo se hromobití, a hlasové, a blýskání, i země třesení.
So the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and flung it to the earth; and there followed peals of thunder, and voices, and flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.
6 A těch sedm andělů, kteříž měli sedm trub, připravili se, aby troubili.
Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets made preparations for blowing them.
7 I zatroubil první anděl, a stalo se krupobití a oheň smíšený se krví, a svrženo jest to na zem. A třetí díl stromů shořel, a všecka tráva zelená spálena jest.
The first blew his trumpet; and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, falling upon the earth; and a third part of the earth was burnt up, and a third part of the trees and all the green grass.
8 Potom zatroubil druhý anděl, a uvržena jest do moře jako hora veliká ohněm hořící. I učiněn jest krví třetí díl moře.
The second angel blew his trumpet; and what seemed to be a great mountain, all ablaze with fire, was hurled into the sea; and a third part of the sea was turned into blood.
9 A zemřel v moři třetí díl stvoření těch, kteráž měla duši, a třetí díl lodí zhynul.
And a third part of the creatures that were in the sea--those that had life--died; and a third part of the ships were destroyed.
10 A vtom třetí anděl zatroubil, i spadla s nebe hvězda veliká, hořící jako pochodně, a padla na třetí díl řek a do studnic vod.
The third angel blew his trumpet; and there fell from Heaven a great star, which was on fire like a torch. It fell upon a third part of the rivers and upon the springs of water.
11 A jméno hvězdy té bylo Pelynek. I obrátil se třetí díl vod v pelynek, a mnoho lidí zemřelo od těch vod, nebo byly zhořkly.
The name of the star is 'Wormwood;' and a third part of the waters were turned into wormwood, and vast numbers of the people died from drinking the water, because it had become bitter.
12 Potom čtvrtý anděl zatroubil, i udeřena jest třetina slunce, a třetina měsíce, a třetí díl hvězd, takže se třetí díl jich zatměl, a třetina dne nesvítila, a též podobně i noci.
Then the fourth angel blew his trumpet; and a curse fell upon a third part of the sun, a third part of the moon, and a third part of the stars, so that a third part of them were darkened and for a third of the day, and also of the night, there was no light.
13 I viděl jsem a slyšel anděla jednoho, an letí po prostředku nebe, a praví hlasem velikým: Běda, běda, běda těm, kteříž přebývají na zemi, pro jiné hlasy trub tří andělů, kteříž mají troubiti.
Then I looked, and I heard a solitary eagle crying in a loud voice, as it flew across the sky, "Alas, alas, alas, for the inhabitants of the earth, because of the significance of the remaining trumpets which the three angels are about to blow!"
