Žalmy 99

1 Hospodin kraluje, užasněte se národové; sedí nad cherubíny, pohniž se země.

A Psalm of David. The Lord reigns; —let the people rage; [it is he] that sits upon the cherubs, let the earth be moved.

2 Hospodin na Sionu veliký, a vyvýšený jest nade všecky lidi.

The Lord is great in Sion, and is high over all the people.

3 Oslavujte jméno tvé veliké a hrozné, nebo svaté jest.

Let them give thanks to your great name; for it is terrible and holy.

4 Moc zajisté králova miluje soud; ty jsi ustanovil práva, soud a spravedlnost v Jákobovi ty konáš.

And the king's honor loves judgment; you have prepared equity, you have wrought judgment and justice in Jacob.

5 Vyvyšujte Hospodina Boha našeho, a sklánějte se u podnoží noh jeho, svatýť jest.

Exalt you the Lord our God, and worship [at] his footstool; for he is holy.

6 Mojžíš a Aron mezi kněžími jeho, a Samuel mezi vzývajícími jméno jeho; volávali k Hospodinu, a on je vyslýchal.

Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the Lord, and he heard them.

7 V sloupu oblakovém mluvíval k nim; kteřížto když ostříhali svědectví jeho, i ustanovení jim vydal.

He spoke to them in a pillar of cloud; they kept his testimonies, and the ordinances which he gave them.

8 Hospodine Bože náš, tys je vyslýchal, Bože, bývals jim milostiv, i když jsi je trestal pro výstupky jejich.

O Lord our God, you heard them; O God, you became propitious to them, though you did take vengeance on all their devices.

9 Vyvyšujte Hospodina Boha našeho, a sklánějte se na hoře svaté jeho; neboť jest svatý Hospodin Bůh náš.

Exalt you the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the Lord our God is holy.
