Žalmy 6

1 Přednímu kantoru na neginot, k nízkému zpěvu, žalm Davidův. Hospodine, netresci mne v hněvě svém, ani v prchlivosti své kárej mne.

For the Leader; with string-music; on the Sheminith. A Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in Thine anger, neither chasten me in Thy wrath.

2 Smiluj se nade mnou, Hospodine, neboť jsem zemdlený; uzdrav mne, Hospodine, nebo ztrnuly kosti mé.

Be gracious unto me, O LORD, for I languish away; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are affrighted.

3 Ano i duše má předěšena jest náramně, ty pak, Hospodine, až dokavad?

My soul also is sore affrighted; and Thou, O LORD, how long?

4 Navratiž se, Hospodine, a vytrhni duši mou; spomoz mi pro milosrdenství své.

Return, O LORD, deliver my soul; save me for Thy mercy's sake.

5 Nebo mrtví nezpomínají na tebe, a v hrobě kdo tě bude oslavovati? (Sheol h7585)

For in death there is no remembrance of Thee; in the nether-world who will give Thee thanks? (Sheol h7585)

6 Ustávám v úpění svém, ložce své každé noci svlažuji, slzami svými postel svou smáčím.

I am weary with my groaning; every night make I my bed to swim; I melt away my couch with my tears.

7 Sškvrkla se zámutkem tvář má, sstarala se příčinou všech nepřátel mých.

Mine eye is dimmed because of vexation; it waxeth old because of all mine adversaries.

8 Odstuptež ode mne všickni činitelé nepravosti; neboť jest vyslyšel Hospodin hlas pláče mého.

Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.

9 Vyslyšel Hospodin pokornou modlitbu mou, Hospodin modlitbu mou přijal.

The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD receiveth my prayer.

10 Nechažť se zastydí a předěsí zřejmě všickni nepřátelé moji, nechažť jsou zpět obráceni a rychle zahanbeni.

All mine enemies shall be ashamed and sore affrighted; they shall turn back, they shall be ashamed suddenly.
