Žalmy 51
1 Přednímu z kantorů, žalm Davidův, Když k němu přišel Nátan prorok, po jeho vjití k Betsabé. Smiluj se nade mnou, Bože, podlé milosrdenství svého, podlé množství slitování svých shlaď přestoupení má.
For the end, a Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, when he had gone to Bersabee. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy great mercy; and according to the multitude of thy compassions blot out my transgression.
2 Dokonale obmej mne od nepravosti mé, a od hříchu mého očisť mne.
Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 Nebo já znám přestoupení svá, a hřích můj přede mnou jest ustavičně.
For I am conscious of mine iniquity; and my sin is continually before me.
4 Tobě, tobě samému, zhřešil jsem, a zlého se před očima tvýma dopustil, abys spravedlivý zůstal v řečech svých, a bez úhony v soudech svých.
Against thee only have I sinned, and done evil before thee: that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
5 Aj, v nepravosti zplozen jsem, a v hříchu počala mne matka má.
For, behold, I was conceived in iniquities, and in sins did my mother conceive me.
6 Aj, ty libuješ pravdu u vnitřnostech, nadto skrytou moudrost zjevil jsi mi.
For, behold, thou lovest truth: thou hast manifested to me the secret and hidden things of thy wisdom.
7 Vyčisť mne yzopem, a očištěn budu, umej mne, a nad sníh bělejší budu.
Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be purified: thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow.
8 Dej mi slyšeti radost a potěšení, tak ať zpléší kosti mé, kteréž jsi potřel.
Thou shalt cause me to hear gladness and joy: the afflicted bones shall rejoice.
9 Odvrať tvář svou přísnou od hříšností mých, a vymaž všecky nepravosti mé.
Turn away thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Srdce čisté stvoř mi, ó Bože, a ducha přímého obnov u vnitřnostech mých.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit in my inward parts.
11 Nezamítej mne od tváři své, a Ducha svatého svého neodjímej ode mne.
Cast me not away from thy presence; and remove not thy holy Spirit from me.
12 Navrať mi radost spasení svého, a duchem dobrovolným utvrď mne.
Restore to me the joy of thy salvation: establish me with thy directing Spirit.
13 I budu vyučovati přestupníky cestám tvým, aby hříšníci k tobě se obraceli.
[Then] will I teach transgressors thy ways; and ungodly men shall turn to thee.
14 Vytrhni mne z pomsty pro vylití krve, ó Bože, Bože spasiteli můj, a budeť s veselím prozpěvovati jazyk můj o spravedlnosti tvé.
Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation: [and] my tongue shall joyfully declare thy righteousness.
15 Pane, rty mé otevři, i budou ústa má zvěstovati chválu tvou.
O Lord, thou shalt open my lips; and my mouth shall declare thy praise.
16 Nebo neoblíbil bys oběti, bychť ji i dal, aniž bys zápalu přijal.
For if thou desiredst sacrifice, I would have given [it]: thou wilt not take pleasure in whole-burnt-offerings.
17 Oběti Boží duch skroušený; srdcem skroušeným a potřebným, Bože, nezhrzíš.
Sacrifice to God is a broken spirit: a broken and humbled heart God will not despise.
18 Dobrotivě nakládej z milosti své s Sionem, vzdělej zdi Jeruzalémské.
Do good, O Lord, to Sion in thy good pleasure; and let the walls of Jerusalem be built.
19 A tehdáž sobě zalíbíš oběti spravedlnosti, zápaly a pálení celých obětí, tehdážť voly na oltáři tvém obětovati budou.
Then shalt thou be pleased with a sacrifice of righteousness, offering, and whole-burnt-sacrifices: then shall they offer calves upon thine altar.
