1 Halelujah. Chvalte hospodina stvoření nebeská, chvaltež ho na výsostech.
Praise ye Jehovah. Praise ye Jehovah from the heavens. Praise him in the heights.
2 Chvalte jej všickni andělé jeho, chvalte jej všickni zástupové jeho.
Praise ye him, all his agents. Praise ye him, all his host.
3 Chvalte jej slunce i měsíc, chvalte jej všecky jasné hvězdy.
Praise ye him, sun and moon. Praise him, all ye stars of light.
4 Chvalte jej nebesa nebes, i vody, kteréž jsou nad nebem tímto.
Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that are above the heavens.
5 Chvalte jméno Hospodinovo všecky věci, kteréž, jakž on řekl, pojednou stvořeny jsou.
Let them praise the name of Jehovah. For he commanded, and they were created.
6 A utvrdil je na věčné věky, uložil cíle, z nichž by nevykračovaly.
He has also established them forever and ever. He has made a decree which shall not pass away.
7 Chvalte Hospodina tvorové zemští, velrybové a všecky propasti,
Praise Jehovah from the earth, ye sea-monsters, and all deeps,
8 Oheň a krupobití, sníh i pára, vítr bouřlivý, vykonávající rozkaz jeho,
fire and hail, snow and vapor, stormy wind, fulfilling his word,
9 I hory a všickni pahrbkové, stromoví ovoce nesoucí, i všickni cedrové,
mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars,
10 Zvěř divoká i všeliká hovada, zeměplazové i ptactvo létavé,
beasts and all cattle, creeping things and flying birds,
11 Králové zemští i všickni národové, knížata i všickni soudcové země,
kings of the earth and all peoples, rulers and all judges of the earth,
12 Mládenci, též i panny, starci s dítkami,
both young men and virgins, old men and sons.
13 Chvalte jméno Hospodinovo; nebo vyvýšeno jest jméno jeho samého, a sláva jeho nade všecku zemi i nebe.
Let them praise the name of Jehovah, for his name alone is exalted. His glory is above the earth and the heavens.
14 A vyzdvihl roh lidu svého, chválu všech svatých jeho, synů Izraelských, lidu s ním spojeného. Halelujah.
And he has lifted up the horn of his people, the praise of all his sanctified, even of the sons of Israel, a people near to him. Praise ye Jehovah.
