1 Miluji Hospodina, proto že vyslýchá hlas můj a pokorné modlitby mé.
It is lovely to me that the Lord heareth my voice, my supplications.
2 Nebo naklonil ucha svého ke mně, když jsem ho vzýval ve dnech svých.
For he hath inclined his ear unto me: therefore throughout all my days will I call on him.
3 Obklíčilyť mne byly bolesti smrti, a úzkosti hrobu potkaly mne; sevření a truchlost přišla na mne. (Sheol h7585)
The bands of death had compassed me, and the pangs of the nether world had overtaken me; I had met with distress and sorrow: (Sheol h7585)
4 I vzýval jsem jméno Hospodinovo, řka: Prosím, ó Hospodine, vysvoboď duši mou.
I then called on the name of the Lord, I beseech thee, O Lord, release my soul.
5 Milostivý Hospodin a spravedlivý, Bůh náš lítostivý.
Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; and our God is merciful.
6 Ostříhá sprostných Hospodin; znuzen jsem byl, a spomohl mi.
The Lord preserveth the simple: I was in misery, and he helped me.
7 Navratiž se, duše má, do odpočinutí svého, poněvadž Hospodin jest dobrodince tvůj.
Return, O my soul, unto thy rest; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8 Nebo jsi vytrhl duši mou od smrti, oči mé od slz, nohu mou od poklesnutí.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from falling.
9 Ustavičně choditi budu před Hospodinem v zemi živých.
I will walk before the Lord in the land of life.
10 Uvěřil jsem, protož i mluvil jsem, ačkoli jsem byl velmi ztrápený.
I believe, therefore will I speak: I was greatly afflicted;
11 Já jsem byl řekl v pospíchání: Všeliký člověk jest lhář.
I indeed said in my despondency, Every man is a liar.
12 Èím se odplatím Hospodinu za všecka dobrodiní jeho mně učiněná?
What shall I give in return unto the Lord for all his bounties toward me?
13 Kalich mnohého spasení vezmu, a jméno Hospodinovo vzývati budu.
The cup of salvation will I lift up, and on the name of the Lord will I call.
14 Sliby své Hospodinu splním, teď přede vším lidem jeho.
My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people.
15 Drahá jest před očima Hospodinovýma smrt svatých jeho.
Grievous in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his pious ones.
16 Ó Hospodine, že jsem služebník tvůj, služebník, pravím, tvůj, syn děvky tvé, rozvázal jsi svazky mé.
O Lord, truly am I thy servant, I am thy servant, —the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosened my fetters.
17 Tobě obětovati budu obět díků činění, a jméno Hospodinovo vzývati budu.
Unto thee will I offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and on the name of the Lord will I call.
18 Sliby své Hospodinu splním, teď přede vším lidem jeho,
My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people,
19 V síňcích domu Hospodinova, u prostřed tebe, Jeruzaléme. Halelujah.
In the courts of the house of the Lord, in thy midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
