1 Potom padl los druhý Simeonovi, pokolení synů Simeonových, po čeledech jejich, a bylo dědictví jejich u prostřed dědictví synů Juda.
The second/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Simeon. Each clan in that tribe was allotted some land that was inside the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Judah.
2 A přišlo jim v dědictví jejich Bersabé, Seba a Molada;
Their land included the towns of Beersheba ([which is also named] Sheba), Moladah,
3 Azarsual a Bala, též Esem;
Hazar-Shual, Balah, Ezem,
4 Eltolad a Betul, a Horma;
Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
5 Sicelech a Betmarchabot, a Azarsusa;
Ziklag, Beth-Marcaboth. Hazar-Susah,
6 Betlebaot a Sarohem, měst třinácte i vsi jejich;
Beth-Lebaoth, and Sharuhen. Altogether there were 13 towns and the surrounding villages.
7 Ain, Remmon, též Eter a Asan, města čtyři i vsi jejich;
The land allotted to them also included the four cities of Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan, and their surrounding villages.
8 I všecky vsi, kteréž byly vůkolí měst těch, až do Balatber a Rámat poledního. To jest dědictví pokolení synů Simeonových po čeledech jejich.
They were also allotted some very small villages in an area that extended south to Baalath-Beer (which is [also named] Ramah, in the southern desert). That was the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Simeon.
9 Z podílu synů Judových bylo dědictví synů Simeonových; nebo díl synů Judových byl jim příliš veliký, protož u prostřed dědictví jejich vzali dědictví synové Simeonovi.
The tribe of Judah had been allotted much more land than they needed, so part of their land was given to the tribe of Simeon.
10 Potom přišel třetí los synům Zabulon po čeledech jejich, a jest meze dědictví jejich až do Sarid.
The third/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Zebulun. Each clan of that tribe was allotted some of the land. The southern border started at Sarid [city].
11 Odkudž vstupuje meze jejich podlé moře k Merala, a přichází až do Debaset, a běží až ku potoku, kterýž jest proti Jekonam.
It extended west to Maralah [city] and on to Dabbesheth [city], and on to the brook just north of Jokneam [city].
12 Obrací se pak od Sarid nazpátek k východu slunce, ku pomezí Chazelet Tábor, a odtud táhne se k Daberet, a vstupuje do Jafie.
The border extended east from Sarid to the area near Kisloth-Tabor [city] and on to Daberath [town] and on to Japhia [town].
13 Odtud přechází zase k východu, do Gethefer a do Itakasin, odkudž vychází do Remmon, a točí se k Nea.
From there it extended east to Gath-Hepher [city] and Eth-Kazin [town], and north to Rimmon [city]. From there the border extended [west] to Neah [town].
14 Točí se také táž meze od půlnoci do Anaton, a dochází až k údolí Jeftael;
From Neah it extended south to Hannathon [city] and from there to Iphtah-El Valley.
15 A Katet, Naalol, Simron, Idala a Betlém, měst dvanácte i vsi jejich.
Their area included the towns of Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem. Altogether there were twelve towns and the surrounding villages.
16 To jest dědictví synů Zabulonových po čeledech jejich, ta města i vsi jejich.
That was the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Zebulun.
17 Izacharovi také padl los čtvrtý, totiž synům Izacharovým po čeledech jejich.
The fourth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Issachar. Each of the clans of that tribe was allotted some of the land.
18 A meze jejich: Jezreel, Kasalat a Sunem;
Their land included the cities of Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,
19 Hafaraim, Sion, též Anaharat;
Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,
20 Rabbot, Kesion a Abez,
Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,
21 Ramet, Engannim a Enhada, i Betfeses.
Remeth, En-Gannim, En-Haddah, and Beth-Pazzez.
22 Odkudž přibíhá meze k Táboru a k Sehesima a k Betsemes, a dochází až k Jordánu, měst šestnácte i vsi jejich.
The border of the area that was allotted to the tribe of Issachar was close to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-Shemesh [cities], and ended [in the east] at the Jordan [River]. Altogether there were 16 cities and the surrounding villages.
23 To jest dědictví pokolení synů Izacharových po čeledech jejich, ta města i vsi jejich.
Those cities and villages were in the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Issachar.
24 Padl také los pátý pokolení synů Asser po čeledech jejich.
The fifth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Asher. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
25 A byla meze jejich: Helkat a Chali, a Beten, a Achzaf;
Their land included the towns of Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph,
26 Elmelech, též Amaad a Mesal, a přibíhá až na Karmel k moři, a do Sichor Libnat;
Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. The western border started at Carmel [Mountain] and Shihor-Libnath.
27 A obrací se k východu slunce do Betdagon, a dosahá k losu Zabulonovu, a do údolí Jeftael k půlnoci, a do Betemek a Nehiel, a táhne se do Kábul na levou stranu,
From there it extended [southeast] to Beth-Dagon [town], and then to [the area that was allotted to the tribe of] Zebulun and Iphtah-El Valley. From there the border extended east and then north to Beth-Emek [town] and Neiel and Cabul [towns].
28 A do Ebron a Rohob, a Hamon a Kána až do Sidonu velikého.
From there it extended west to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah [cities], and continued to Sidon, which is a big city.
29 Odtud se navrací ta meze do Ráma až k městu hrazenému Zor; tu se obrací do Chosa, a skonává se při moři podlé vyměření v Achziba.
From there the border extended south toward Ramah and to the big city of Tyre that had strong walls around it. From there the border extended [west] to Hosah [town] and ended at the [Mediterranean] Sea. Within their area were the towns of Aczib,
30 K tomu přísluší Afek a Rohob, měst dvamecítma i vsi jejich.
Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob. Altogether there were 22 towns and their surrounding villages.
31 To jest dědictví pokolení synů Asser po čeledech jejich, ta města i vsi jejich.
Those cities and villages were within the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Asher.
32 Synům Neftalímovým padl los šestý, po čeledech jejich.
The sixth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Naphtali. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
33 A byla meze jejich od Helef a od Elon do Sananim, a Adami, Nekeb a Jebnael, až do Lekum, a skonává se u Jordánu.
The border of their land started [in the west] at the [huge] oak tree at Zaanannim, near Heleph [town]. It extended [east] through Adami-Nekeb [city] and Jabneel, and then to Lakkum, and ended at the Jordan [River].
34 Potom navracuje se meze na západ k Azanot Tábor, a odtud jde do Hukuka, a vpadá k Zabulonovu od poledne, a k Asserovu přibíhá od západu, a k Judovu při Jordánu na východ slunce.
The western boundary extended through Aznoth-Tabor as far as Hukkok [city]. It extended to the borders of [the tribe of] Zebulun at the south, to [the border of the tribe of] Asher on the west, and the Jordan [River] at the east.
35 Města pak hrazená jsou: Assedim, Ser a Emat, Rechat a Ceneret;
[Within their land were] several cities with strong walls around them. They were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,
37 Kedes, Edrei a Enazor;
Kedesh, Edrei, En-Hazor,
38 Jeron, Magdalel, Horem, Betanat a Betsemes, měst devatenácte i vsi jejich.
Iron, Migdal-El, Horem, Beth-Anath, and Beth-Shemesh. Altogether there were 19 cities and the surrounding villages.
39 To jest dědictví pokolení synů Neftalím po čeledech jejich, ta města s vesnicemi svými.
Those cities and surrounding villages were in the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Naphtali.
40 Na pokolení synů Dan po čeledech jejich padl los sedmý.
The seventh/last tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Dan. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
41 A byla meze dědictví jejich: Zaraha a Estaol, a Hirsemes;
Their land included the towns of Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-Shemesh,
42 Salbin, Aialon a Jetela;
Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,
44 Elteke, Gebbeton a Baalat;
Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
45 Jehud, Beneberak a Getremmon;
Jehud, Bene-Berak, Gath-Rimmon,
46 Mehaiarkon a Rakon s pomezím, kteréž jest naproti Joppe.
Me-Jarkon, Rakkon, and the area near Joppa.
47 Přišlo pak pomezí synům Dan příliš malé. Protož vstoupili synové Dan, a bojovali proti Lesen, a dobyvše ho, pobili obyvatele ostrostí meče, a vzavše je v dědictví, bydlili tam, a přezděli Lesenu Dan, vedlé jména Dan otce svého.
But the people of the tribe of Dan were unable to take control of the land that had been allotted to them. So they went [northeast] and fought against the people in Leshem [city]. They defeated and killed all the people who lived there. Then they began to live in Leshem, and changed the name of the city to Dan, the man from whom their tribe descended.
48 To jest dědictví pokolení synů Dan po čeledech jejich, ta města i vsi jejich.
All of those towns and surrounding villages were in the land that was allotted to the clans in the tribe of Dan.
49 Když pak přestali děliti se zemí po mezech jejích, dali synové Izraelští dědictví Jozue, synu Nun, mezi sebou.
After the Israeli leaders divided the land among the tribes, they allotted some land to Joshua.
50 Podlé rozkázaní Hospodinova dali jemu město, kteréhož žádal, Tamnatsára, na hoře Efraim. I vystavěl město, a přebýval v něm.
They allotted to him Timnath-Serah. Yahweh had said that he could have whatever city he wanted, and that was the city that he chose. It was in the hilly region which was allotted to the tribe of Ephraim. Joshua rebuilt the city and lived there.
51 Ta jsou dědictví, kteráž dali k vládařství Eleazar kněz a Jozue syn Nun, i přední z otců pokolení synů Izraelských, losem v Sílo před Hospodinem, u dveří stánku úmluvy, a tak dokonali rozdělování země.
Those were the areas that were allotted to the various tribes of Israel. Eleazar the Supreme Priest and Joshua and the leaders of each tribe divided up the land while they were all at Shiloh, by (casting lots/throwing marked stones) [to decide which area each tribe would receive]. They did that while Yahweh was watching, at the entrance of the Sacred Tent. In that way they completed dividing up the land.
