Jób 23
1 Tedy odpověděl Job a řekl:
And he answered Job and he said.
2 Což vždy předce naříkání mé za zpouru jmíno bude, ješto bída má těžší jest nežli lkání mé?
Also this day [the] rebellion of complaint my hand my it is heavy on groaning my.
3 Ó bych věděl, kde ho najíti, šel bych až k trůnu jeho.
Who? will he give I knew and I will find him I will come to place his.
4 Pořádně bych před ním vedl při, a ústa svá naplnil bych důvody.
Let me set in order before him a case and mouth my let me fill arguments.
5 Zvěděl bych, jakými slovy by mně odpověděl, a porozuměl bych, co by mi řekl.
I want to know [the] words [which] he will answer me and I want to understand what? will he say to me.
6 Zdaliž by podlé veliké síly své rozepři vedl se mnou? Nikoli, nýbrž on sám dal by mi sílu.
¿ With greatness of power will he conduct a case with me not surely he he will put on me.
7 Tuť by upřímý hádati se mohl s ním, a byl bych osvobozen všelijak od soudce svého.
There an upright [person] [will be] reasoning with him and I will deliver to perpetuity from judge my.
8 Ale aj, půjdu-li upřímo dále, tam ho není; pakli nazpět, nepostihnu ho.
Here! forward I go and there not [is] he and backwards and not I perceive him.
9 By i čím zaměstknán byl na levo, předce ho nespatřím; zastře-li se na pravo, ovšem ho neuzřím.
[the] left [side] When acts he and not I see [him] he turns [the] right [side] and not I see [him].
10 Nebo on zná cestu, kteráž jest při mně; bude-li mne zkušovati, jako zlato se ukáži.
That he knows [the] way with me he has tested me like gold I will come forth.
11 Šlepějí zajisté jeho přídržela se noha má, cesty jeho šetřil jsem, abych se s ní neuchyloval.
On step his it has taken hold foot my way his I have kept and not I have turned aside.
12 Aniž od přikázaní rtů jeho uchýlil jsem se, nýbrž ustaviv se na tom, schované jsem měl řeči úst jeho.
[the] commandment of Lips his and not I have ceased more than portion my I have treasured up [the] words of mouth his.
13 On pak jestliže při čem stojí, kdo jej odvrátí? Ano duše jeho čehož jen žádá, toho hned dovodí.
And he [is] one and who? will he turn back him and [that which] self his it has desired and he has done.
14 A vykoná uložení své o mně; nebo takových příkladů mnoho jest při něm.
For he performs decree my and like them many [are] with him.
15 Pročež před tváří jeho děsím se; když to rozvažuji, lekám se ho.
There-fore of him I am terrified I consider and I may be in dread from him.
16 Bůh zajisté zemdlil srdce mé, a Všemohoucí předěsil mne,
And God he has made faint heart my and [the] Almighty he has terrified me.
17 Tak že sotva jsem nezahynul v těch temnostech; nebo před tváří mou nezakryl mrákoty.
For not I have been destroyed from before darkness and from before me it covers gloom.
