Izaiáš 24
1 Aj, Hospodin vyprázdní zemi, a pustou učiní; promění zajisté způsob její, a rozptýlí obyvatele její.
Lo! the Lord schal distrie the erthe, and schal make it nakid, and schal turmente the face therof; and he schal scater abrood the dwelleris therof.
2 I budeť jakož lid tak kníže, jakož služebník tak pán jeho, jakož děvka tak paní její, jakož kupující tak prodávající, jakož půjčující tak vypůjčující, jakož lichevník tak ten, jenž lichvu dává.
And it schal be, as the puple, so the preest; as the seruaunt, so his lord; as the handmaide, so the ladi of hir; as a biere, so he that sillith; as the leenere, so he that takith borewyng; as he that axith ayen, so he that owith.
3 Náramně vyprázděna bude země, a velice zloupena; nebo Hospodin mluvil slovo toto.

4 Kvíliti bude a padne země, zemdlí a padne okršlek země, zemdlejí vysocí národové zemští,

5 Proto že i ta země poškvrněna jest pod obyvateli svými; nebo přestoupili zákony, změnili ustanovení, zrušili smlouvu věčnou.

7 Žalostiti bude mest, usvadne vinný kmen, úpěti budou všickni veselého srdce.

8 Odpočine radost bubnů, přestane hluk veselících se, utichne veselí harfy.
The ioie of tympans ceesside, the sowne of glad men restide; the swetnesse of harpe with song was stille.
9 Nebudou píti vína s prozpěvováním, zhořkne opojný nápoj pitelům jeho.
Thei schulen not drynke wyn; a bittere drynk schal be to hem that schulen drynke it.
10 Potříno bude město marnosti; zavřín bude každý dům, aby do něho nechodili.

11 Naříkání bude na ulicích pro víno, zatemněno bude všeliké veselí, odstěhuje se radost země.

12 Zůstane v městě poušť, i brány zbořeny budou.

13 Nebo tak bude u prostřed země, u prostřed národů, jako očesání olivy, jako paběrkování, když se dokoná vinobraní.

16 Od končin země slyšíme písničky o slávě spravedlivého. Ale já řekl jsem: Zchuravěl jsem, zchuravěl jsem. Ach, na mé hoře, že nešlechetní nešlechetnost provodí, nešlechetnost, pravím, že tak nestydatě páší.

18 I stane se, že kdož uteče před pověstí strachu, upadne do jámy, a kdož vyleze z jámy, v osídle uvázne; nebo průduchové s výsosti otevříni budou, a zatřesou se základové země.
And it schal be, he that schal fle fro the face of ferdfulnesse, schal falle in to the diche; and he that schal delyuere hym silf fro the dich, schal be holdun of the snare; for whi the wyndows of hiye thingis ben openyd, and the foundementis of erthe schulen be schakun togidere.
19 Velmi se rozstoupí země, velice se rozpadne země, náramně pohybovati se bude země.
The erthe schal be brokun with brekyng,
20 Motaje, motati se bude země jako opilý, a přenešena bude jako chaloupka; nebo těžce na ni dolehne nepravost její, i padne tak, že nepovstane více.

21 I stane se v ten den, navštíví Hospodin vojsko vysoké na výsosti, též i krále zemské na zemi.

23 I zahanbí se měsíc, a zastydí slunce, když kralovati bude Hospodin zástupů na hoře Sion, a v Jeruzalémě, a před starci svými slavně.
And the moone schal be aschamed, and the sunne schal be confoundid, whanne the Lord of oostis schal regne in the hil of Sion, and in Jerusalem, and schal be glorified in the siyt of hise eldre men.
