1 Mojžišova 49
1 Povolal pak Jákob synů svých, a řekl: Sejděte se, a oznámím vám, co se s vámi díti bude potomních dnů.
Then called Jacob unto his sons, —and said—Gather yourselves together, and let me tell you, that which shall befall you in the afterpart of the days.
2 Shromažďte se a slyšte synové Jákobovi, poslyšte Izraele otce svého.
Assemble yourselves and hear ye sons of Jacob, —And hearken unto Israel your father!
3 Ruben, prvorozený můj jsi ty, síla má, a počátek moci mé, vyvýšenost důstojenství a vyvýšenost síly.
Reuben, my first-born, thou, My vigour, and the first-fruit of my strength, —Pre-eminence of elevation and pre-eminence of power:
4 Prudce sběhneš jako voda. Nebudeš vyvýšen, proto že jsi vstoupil na lůže otce svého; a jakž jsi poškvrnil postele mé, zmizelo vyvýšení tvé.
Boiling over like water, thou mayest not have pre-eminence, Because thou didst mount the bed of thy father, —Then, wast thou profane—My marriage-bed, he mounted!
5 Simeon a Léví bratří, nástrojové nepravosti jsou v příbytcích jejich.
Simeon and Levi, are brethren, —Instruments of violence, are their agreements:
6 Do tajné rady jejich nevcházej duše má, k shromáždění jejich nepřipojuj se slávo má; nebo v prchlivosti své zbili muže, a svévolně vyvrátili zed.
Into their circle, do not thou enter my soul! In their convocation, do not thou join mine honour! For in their anger, they slew brave men, And in their wantonness, they ham-strung oxen.
7 Zlořečená prchlivost jejich, nebo neustupná; i hněv jejich, nebo zatvrdilý jest. Rozdělím je v Jákobovi, a rozptýlím je v Izraeli.
Accursed, be their anger, because fierce, And their wrath because cruel, —I divide them in Jacob, And I disperse them in Israel.
8 Judo, ty jsi, tebe chváliti budou bratří tvoji; ruka tvá bude na šíji nepřátel tvých; klaněti se budou tobě synové otce tvého.
Judah, as for thee, thy brethren shall praise thee when thy hand is on the neck of thy foes, —The sons of thy father, shall bow them-selves down to thee:
9 Lvíče Juda, z loupeže, synu můj, vrátil jsi se; schýliv se, ležel jako lev a jako lvice; kdo zbudí ho?
A lion’s whelp, is Judah, From the prey, my son hast thou come up! He hath stooped—hath crouched As a lion—or as a lioness, Who shall rouse him?
10 Nebude odjata berla od Judy, ani vydavatel zákona od noh jeho, dokudž nepřijde Sílo; a k němu se shromáždí národové.
The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, Nor the commander’s staff from between his feet, —Until that he come in as a Shiloh, And, his, be the obedience of the peoples:
11 Uváže k vinnému kmenu osle své, a k výbornému kmenu oslátko oslice své. Práti bude u víně roucho své, a v červeném víně oděv svůj.
Binding, to the vine, his ass, And to the choice vine his ass’s colt, He hath washed in wine his raiment, And in the blood of grapes, his mantle:
12 Èervenějších očí bude nad víno, a zubů bělejších nad mléko.
Darker—his eyes, than wine, —Whiter—his teeth than milk!
13 Zabulon bydliti bude na břehu mořském, a na přístavu lodí, a pomezí jeho až k Sidonu.
Zebulon, by a haven of seas, shall he settle down, —Even he, by a haven of ships, With his utmost part upon Zidon.
14 Izachar osel silný, ležící mezi dvěma břemeny.
Issachar, an ass of strength, —couching between the pens;
15 A vida odpočinutí, že jest dobré, a zemi, že jest rozkošná, sehne rameno své k nošení, a dávati bude daně.
Then beholdeth he rest, that it is good, And the ground that it is pleasant, —So he bendeth his shoulder to bear, And becometh a tributary servant.
16 Dan souditi bude lid svůj, jako jedno z pokolení Izraelských.
Dan, shall vindicate his people, —as one of the tribes of Israel;
17 Budeť Dan jako had podlé cesty, jako had rohatý podlé stezky, štípaje kopyta koně, aby spadl jezdec jeho zpět.
It cometh to pass that, Dan, is a serpent upon the way, A horned viper, upon the path, —That biteth the heels of the horse, And his rider falleth backwards: —
18 Spasení tvého očekávám, ó Hospodine!
For thy salvation, have I waited O Yahweh!
19 Gád, vojsko přemůže jej, však on svítězí potom.
Gad! a troop shall troop on him, —But, he, shall troop on the rear.
20 Asser, tučný bude pokrm jeho, a onť vydávati bude rozkoše královské.
Out of Asher, fatness, is his food, —So, he, setteth forth dainties for a king.
21 Neftalím jako laň vypuštěná, vydávaje výmluvnosti krásné.
Naphtali, is a slender hind, —That putteth forth antlers of beauty.
22 Ratolest rostoucí Jozef, ratolest rostoucí podlé studnice; ratolesti vycházely nad zed.
A fruitful bough, is Joseph, A fruitful bough over a fountain, —Branches creeping over a wall.
23 Ačkoli hořkostí naplnili jej, a stříleli na něj, a v tajné nenávisti měli ho střelci:
So they attack him and have shot, —So they enclose him, do the masters of arrows.
24 Však zůstalo v síle lučiště jeho, a zsilila se ramena rukou jeho z rukou mocného Jákobova; odkudž byl pastýř a kámen Izraelův;
But abideth, as an enduring one, his bow, And supple are the arms of his hands, —From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, From thence, is the Shepherd the Stone of Israel:
25 Od silného Boha, jemuž sloužil otec tvůj, kterýž spomáhá tobě, a od všemohoucího, kterýž požehná tobě požehnáními nebeskými s hůry, požehnáními propasti ležící hluboko, požehnáním prsů a života.
From the GOD of thy father who doth help thee And GOD Almighty who doth bless thee, Blessings of the heavens, above, Blessings of the abyss, couching beneath, —Blessings of breasts and womb:
26 Požehnání otce tvého silnější budou nad požehnání předků mých, až k končinám pahrbků věčných; budou nad hlavou Jozefovou, a na vrchu hlavy Nazarejského mezi bratřími jeho.
The blessings of thy father, have prevailed, Over the blessings of the perpetual mountains, The charm of the age-abiding hills, —They turn out to be, for the head of Joseph, And for the crown of the head of him who was set apart from his brethren.
27 Beniamin, vlk dravý, ráno bude jísti loupež, a večer rozdělí kořisti.
Benjamin a wolf that teareth in pieces, In the morning, he eateth prey, And at eventide, he divideth spoil.
28 Všech těchto pokolení Izraelských jest dvanácte; a to jest, což mluvil jim otec jejich; požehnal jim také, jednomu každému vedlé požehnání jeho požehnal.
All these, are the twelve tribes of Israel, —And this, is that which their father spake to them when he blessed them, Each man severally according to the blessing wherewith he blessed them.
29 A poroučeje jim, řekl: Já připojen budu k lidu svému; pochovejte mne s otci mými v jeskyni té, kteráž jest na poli Efrona Hetejského,
Then commanded he them and said unto them—I, am about to be gathered unto my people, Bury me among my fathers, —within the cave, that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite:
30 V jeskyni, kteráž jest na poli Machpelah, jenž jest naproti Mamre v zemi Kananejské, kterouž koupil Abraham spolu s polem tím od Efrona Hetejského k dědičnému pohřbu.
in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah which is over against Mamre, in the land of Canaan, —which Abraham bought, along with the field, from Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace: —
31 Tam pochovali Abrahama a Sáru ženu jeho; tam pochovali Izáka a Rebeku ženu jeho; tam také pochovali Líu.
There, buried they Abraham, and Sarah his wife, There, buried they Isaac, and Rebekah his wife, —And there, buried I Leah: —
32 Koupeno pak bylo pole a jeskyně, kteráž na něm, od synů Het.
buying the field and the cave that is therein, from the sons of Heth.
33 A když přestal Jákob přikazovati synům svým, složil nohy své na ložci a umřel; a připojen jest k lidu svému.
So Jacob made an end of commanding his sons, and gathered up his feet into the couch, —and ceased to breathe and was gathered unto his people.
