I vzal s sebou dva syny své, Manasse a Efraima.
And it was after the things these and someone said to Joseph there! father your [is] sick and he took [the] two sons his with him Manasseh and Ephraim.
2 Tedy oznámeno jest Jákobovi a povědíno: Aj, syn tvůj Jozef přišel k tobě.
And someone told to Jacob and he said here! son your Joseph he has come to you and he strengthened himself Israel and he sat on the bed.
And he said Jacob to Joseph God Almighty he appeared to me at Luz in [the] land of Canaan and he blessed me.
4 A řekl ke mně: Aj, já rozplodím tě a rozmnožím tebe, a učiním tě v zástupy lidí; dám také zemi tuto semeni tvému po tobě za dědictví věčné.
And he said to me here I [am] about to make fruitful you and I will multiply you and I will make you a company of peoples and I will give the land this to offspring your after you a possession of perpetuity.
And now [the] two sons your who were born to you in [the] land of Egypt until came I to you Egypt towards [belong] to me they Ephraim and Manasseh like Reuben and Simeon they will be[long] to me.
And offspring your whom you have fathered after them to you they will be[long] on [the] name of brothers their they will be called in inheritance their.
And I - when came I from Paddan she died on me Rachel in [the] land of Canaan on the journey at yet a distance of land to go Ephrathah and I buried her there on [the] journey of Ephrath that [is] Beth-lehem.
8 Uzřev potom Izrael syny Jozefovy, řekl: Kdo jsou onino?
And he saw Israel [the] sons of Joseph and he said who? [are] these.
9 Odpověděl Jozef otci svému: Synové moji jsou, kteréž dal mi Bůh zde. I řekl: Přiveď je medle ke mně, a požehnám jim
And he said Joseph to father his [are] sons my they whom he has given to me God in this [place] and he said fetch them please to me so I may bless them.
10 (Oči pak Izraelovy mdlé byly pro starost, a nemohl dobře viděti.) I přivedl je k němu, a on líbal a objímal je.
And [the] eyes of Israel they were heavy from old age not he was able to see and he brought near them to him and he kissed them and he embraced them.
11 I řekl Izrael Jozefovi: Nemyslilť jsem já, abych měl kdy viděti tvář tvou, a aj, dal mi Bůh, abych viděl i símě tvé.
And he said Israel to Joseph to see face your not I judged and here! he has shown me God also offspring your.
And he took Joseph them from with knees his and he bowed down to face his [the] ground towards.
13 A vzav oba, Efraima na pravou stranu sobě, Izraelovi pak na levou, a Manassesa na levou sobě, Izraelovi pak na pravou, postavil je před ním.
And he took Joseph [the] two of them Ephraim at right [hand] his from [the] left of Israel and Manasseh at left [hand] his from [the] right of Israel and he brought [them] near to him.
And he stretched out Israel right [hand] his and he put [it] on [the] head of Ephraim and he [was] the young and left [hand] his on [the] head of Manasseh he laid cross-wise hands his for Manasseh [was] the firstborn.
15 I požehnal Jozefovi, řka: Bůh, před jehož oblíčejem ustavičně chodili otcové moji Abraham a Izák, Bůh, kterýž mne spravoval po všecken život můj až do dne tohoto;
And he blessed Joseph and he said God whom they walked about fathers my before him Abraham and Isaac God who shepherded me from duration my until the day this.
16 Anděl ten, kterýž vytrhl mne ze všeho zlého, požehnejž dítek těchto; a ať slovou synové moji a synové otců mých Abrahama a Izáka; a ať se jako hmyz rozmnoží u prostřed země.
The angel who has redeemed me from all harm may he bless the lads and may it be called in them name my and [the] name of fathers my Abraham and Isaac and may they multiply to abundance in [the] midst of the earth.
And he saw Joseph that he will put father his [the] hand of right his on [the] head of Ephraim and it was displeasing in view his and he grasped [the] hand of father his to remove it from on [the] head of Ephraim on [the] head of Manasseh.
And he said Joseph to father his not thus O father my for this [is] the firstborn put right [hand] your on head his.
19 Ale nepovolil otec jeho, a řekl: Vím, synu můj, vím; takéť i on bude v lid, a také i on vzroste; však bratr jeho mladší více poroste než on, a símě jeho bude u veliké množství národů.
And he refused father his and he said I know O son my I know also he he will become a people and also he he will become great and but brother his young he will become great more than him and offspring his it will be [the] fullness of the nations.
20 I požehnal jim v ten den, řka: Skrze tebe požehnání bude dávati Izrael takto: Učiniž tobě Bůh jako Efraimovi a jako Manassesovi. I představil Efraima Manassesovi.
And he blessed them on the day that saying by you it will bless Israel saying may he make you God like Ephraim and like Manasseh and he put Ephraim before Manasseh.
21 Řekl také Izrael Jozefovi: Aj, já umírám, a budeť Bůh s vámi, a zase vás přivede do země otců vašich.
And he said Israel to Joseph here! I [am] about to die and he will be God with you and he will bring back you to [the] land of fathers your.
22 Já pak dal jsem tobě jeden díl výš nad bratří tvé, kteréhož jsem mečem svým a lučištěm svým dosáhl z ruky Amorejského.
And I I give to you a shoulder one over brothers your which I took from [the] hand of the Amorite[s] by sword my and by bow my.
