Galatským 1
1 Pavel apoštol, (ne od lidí, ani skrze člověka, ale skrze Jezukrista, a Boha Otce, kterýž jej vzkřísil z mrtvých, )
Paul, an apostle, —not from men, nor through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father who raised him from among the dead,
2 I ti, kteříž jsou se mnou, všickni bratří sborům Galatským:
And all the brethren with me; —unto the assemblies of Galatia:
3 Milost vám a pokoj od Boha Otce a Pána našeho Jezukrista,
Favour unto you and peace, from God our Father, and Lord Jesus Christ, —
4 Kterýž vydal sebe samého za hříchy naše, aby nás vytrhl z tohoto přítomného věku zlého, podle vůle Boha a Otce našeho, (aiōn g165)
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, — (aiōn g165)
Unto whom be the glory unto the ages of ages: Amen! (aiōn g165)
6 Divím se tomu, že tak rychle od toho, kterýž vás povolal v milost Kristovu, uchýlili jste se k jinému evangelium,
I marvel that, thus quickly, ye are moving away from him that called you in the favour of Christ, unto a different glad-message, —
7 Kteréž není jiné, ale jsou někteří, ješto vás kormoutí a převrátiti chtějí evangelium Kristovo.
Which is not, another, only there are, some, that are troubling you, and wishing to change the glad-message of the Christ.
8 Ale bychom pak i my neb anděl s nebe kázal vám mimo to, což jsme vám kázali, prokletý buď.
But, even if, we, or, a messenger out of heaven, announce a glad-message [unto you] aside from that which we announced unto you, accursed, let him be!
9 Jakož jsme již pověděli, a ještě znovu pravím: Jestliže by vám kdo co jiného kázal mimo to, což jste přijali, prokletý buď.
As we have said before, even now, again, I say: If anyone is announcing unto you a glad-message aside from that which ye accepted, accursed, let him be!
10 Nebo lidské-liž věci, čili Boží předkládám? Zdaliž lidem se líbiti hledám? Kdybych se zajisté ještě lidem zaliboval, služebník Kristův bych nebyl.
For am I, even now, persuading, men, or God? Or am I seeking to please, men? If I had been still pleasing, men, Christ’s servant, had I not been!
11 Oznamujiť pak vám, bratří, že evangelium to, kteréž kázáno jest ode mne, není podle člověka.
For I make known unto you, brethren, as to the glad-message which was announced by me, that it is not after man;
12 Nebo aniž jsem já ho přijal od člověka, ani se naučil, ale skrze zjevení Ježíše Krista.
For neither, from man, did I accept it, nor was taught [it], —but through a revealing of Jesus Christ.
13 Slýchali jste zajisté o mém obcování někdejším v Židovstvu, kterak jsem se velice protivil církvi Boží a hubil jsem ji,
For ye have heard, as to my own manner of life, at one time, in Judaism, how that, exceedingly, was I persecuting the assembly of God, and laying it waste,
14 A že jsem prospíval v Židovstvu nad mnohé mně rovné v pokolení mém, byv velmi horlivý milovník otcovských ustanovení.
And was making advancement, in Judaism, above many contemporaries in my nation, being, surpassingly zealous, of my paternal instructions.
15 Ale když se zalíbilo Bohu, kterýž mne byl oddělil z života matky mé a povolal skrze milost svou,
But, when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me through his favour, was well-pleased
16 Zjeviti Syna svého mně, abych jej kázal mezi pohany, hned jsem se neporadil s tělem a krví;
to reveal his Son in me, that I might announce the glad-message regarding him among the nations, straightway, I conferred not with flesh and blood,
17 Aniž jsem se vrátil do Jeruzaléma k těm, jenž prve byli apoštolé nežli já, ale šel jsem do Arabie, přišel jsem pak zase do Damašku.
Neither went I up unto Jerusalem unto them who, before me, were apostles, —but I went away into Arabia, and again returned unto Damascus.
18 Potom po třech letech navrátil jsem se do Jeruzaléma, abych navštívil Petra, a pobyl jsem u něho patnácte dní.
Then, after three years, went I up unto Jerusalem, to become acquainted with Cephas, and tarried with him fifteen days;
19 Jiného pak z apoštolů žádného jsem neviděl než Jakuba, bratra Páně.
But, other of the apostles, saw I none, save James the brother of the Lord: —
20 Cožť pak píši vám, aj, před Bohem osvědčuji, žeť neklamám.
Now, as touching the things which I am writing to you, lo! before God, I am not guilty of falsehood: —
21 Potom přišel jsem do krajin Syrských a Cilických.
After that, I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia,
22 A nebyl jsem známý osobou sborům Židovským, kteříž byli v Kristu,
And was still unknown, by face, unto the assemblies of Judaea which were in Christ, —
23 Než toliko slýchali o mně: Že ten, kterýž se nám někdy protivil, již nyní káže víru, kterouž někdy hubil.
Only they were hearing—He that was persecuting us formerly, now, is announcing the glad-message of the faith which he formerly laid waste;
24 A slavili ve mně Boha.
And they were glorifying, God, in me.
