Skutky Apoštolů 5
1 Muž pak jeden, jménem Ananiáš, s Zafirou, manželkou svou, prodal statek.
But a man, Anany bi name, with Safira, his wijf,
2 A lstivě něco těch peněz ujal s vědomím manželky své, a přinesa díl nějaký, položil k nohám apoštolským.
seelde a feeld, and defraudide of the prijs of the feeld; and his wijf was witinge. And he brouyte a part, and leide bifor the feet of the apostlis.
3 I řekl Petr: Ananiáši, proč naplnil satan srdce tvé lstí, tak abys lhal Duchu svatému a lstivě ujal částku peněz za to pole?
And Petre seide to hym, Anany, whi hath Sathanas temptid thin herte, that thou lye to the Hooli Goost, and to defraude of the prijs of the feeld?
4 Zdaliž nebylo tvé, kdybys ho byl sobě nechal? A když bylo prodáno, v moci tvé bylo. I proč jsi tuto věc složil v srdci svém? Neselhal jsi lidem, ale Bohu.
Whethir it vnseld was not thin; and whanne it was seld, it was in thi power? Whi hast thou put this thing in thin herte? Thou hast not lied to men, but to God.
5 Tedy uslyšav Ananiáš tato slova, padna, zdechl. I spadla bázeň veliká na všecky, kteříž to slyšeli.
Anany herde these wordis, and felde doun, and was deed. And greet drede was maad on alle that herden.
6 A vstavše mládenci, vzali jej, a vynesše ven, pochovali.
And yonge men risen, and mouyden hym awei, and baren hym out, and birieden.
7 I stalo se po chvíli, jako po třech hodinách, že i jeho žena, nevěduci, co se bylo stalo, přišla.
And ther was maad as a space of thre ouris, and his wijf knewe not that thing that was don, and entride.
8 I řekl k ní Petr: Pověz mi, za toliko-li jste pole své prodali? A ona řekla: Ano, za tolik.
And Petre answerde to hir, Womman, seie to me, whether ye seelden the feeld for so mych? And sche seide, Yhe, for so mych.
9 Tedy dí jí Petr: I pročež jste se smluvili, abyste pokoušeli Ducha Páně? Aj, nohy těch, kteříž pochovali muže tvého, přede dveřmi jsou, a vynesouť také i tebe.
And Petre seide to hyr, What bifelde to you, to tempte the spirit of the Lord? Lo! the feet of hem that han birieden thin hosebonde ben at the dore, and thei schulen bere thee out.
10 I padla hned před nohy jeho, a zdechla. A všedše mládenci, nalezli ji mrtvou; i vynesše, pochovali podle muže jejího.

11 I byla bázeň veliká po vší církvi, i mezi všemi, kteříž to slyšeli.
And greet drede was maad in al the chirche, and in to alle that herden these thingis.
12 Skrze ruce pak apoštolů dáli se divové a zázrakové velicí v lidu, (A bývali všickni jednomyslně v síňci Šalomounově.
And bi the hoondis of the apostlis signes and many wondris weren maad in the puple. And alle weren of oon acord in the porche of Salomon.
13 Jiný pak žádný neodvážil se připojiti k nim, ale velebil je lid.
But no man of othere durste ioyne hymsilf with hem, but the puple magnyfiede hem.
14 A vždy více se rozmáhalo množství věřících Pánu, mužů i také žen.)
And the multitude of men and of wymmen bileuynge in the Lord was more encreessid,
15 Takže i na ulice vynášeli nemocné, a kladli na ložcích a na nosidlách, aby, když by šel Petr, aspoň stín jeho zastínil na některé z nich.
so that thei brouyten out sike men in to stretis, and leiden in litle beddis and couchis, that whanne Petre cam, nameli the schadew of hym schulde schadewe ech of hem, and thei schulden be delyuerid fro her syknessis.
16 Scházelo se pak množství z okolních měst do Jeruzaléma, nesouce nemocné a trápené od duchů nečistých, a uzdravováni byli všickni.
And the multitude of citees niy to Jerusalem ran, bryngynge sijk men, and that weren trauelid of vnclene spiritis, whiche alle weren heelid.
17 Tedy povstav nejvyšší kněz a všickni, kteříž byli s ním, (jenž byli saducejské sekty, ) naplněni jsou závistí.

18 I zjímali apoštoly, a vsázeli je do žaláře obecného.

19 Ale anděl Páně v noci otevřev dveře u žaláře, vyvedl je ven a řekl:
But the aungel of the Lord openyde bi nyyt the yatis of the prisoun, and ledde hem out, and seide, Go ye,
20 Jděte, a postavíce se, mluvte lidu v chrámě všecka slova života tohoto.
and stonde ye, and speke in the temple to the puple alle the wordis of this lijf.
21 To oni uslyševše, vešli na úsvitě do chrámu a učili. Tedy přišed nejvyšší kněz a ti, kteříž s ním byli, svolali radu a všecky starší synů Izraelských, i poslali do žaláře, aby byli přivedeni.
Whom whanne thei hadden herd, thei entriden eerli in to the temple, and tauyten. And the prince of preestis cam, and thei that weren with him, and clepiden togidre the counsel, and alle the eldre men of the children of Israel; and senten to the prisoun, that thei schulden be brouyt forth.
22 A služebníci přišedše, nenalezli jich v žaláři. A navrátivše se, vypravovali,
And whanne the mynystris camen, founden hem not, and for the prisoun was openyd, thei turneden ayen,
23 Řkouce: Žalář zajisté nalezli jsme zavřený se vší pilností a strážné vně stojící u dveří, ale otevřevše dveře, žádného jsme tam nenalezli.
and teelden, and seiden, We founden the prisoun schit with al diligence, and the keperis stondynge at the yatis; but we opneden, and founden no man ther ynne.
24 A když uslyšeli řeči tyto i nejvyšší kněz i úředník chrámu i jiní přední kněží, nerozuměli, co by se to stalo.
And as the maiestratis of the temple, and the princis of preestis herden these wordis, thei doutiden of hem, what was don.
25 A přišed kdosi, pověděl jim, řka: Aj, muži, kteréž jste vsázeli do žaláře, v chrámě stojí a učí lid.
But a man cam, and teelde to hem, For lo! tho men whiche ye han put in to prisoun, ben in the temple, and stonden, and techen the puple.
26 Tedy šel tam úředník s služebníky, a přivedl je bez násilé; nebo se báli lidu, aby nebyli ukamenováni.
Thanne the magistrat wente with the mynystris, and brouyte hem with out violence; for thei dredden the puple, lest thei schulden be stonyd.
27 A přivedše je, postavili je v radě. I otázal se jich nejvyšší kněz,
And whanne thei hadden brouyt hem, thei settiden hem in the counsel; and the princes of prestis axiden hem,
28 Řka: Zdaliž jsme vám přísně nepřikázali, abyste neučili v tom jménu? A aj, naplnili jste Jeruzalém učením svým, a chcete na nás uvésti krev člověka toho.
and seiden, In comaundement we comaundiden you, that ye schulden not teche in this name, and lo! ye han fillid Jerusalem with youre teching, and ye wolen bringe on vs the blood of this man.
29 Odpověděv pak Petr a apoštolé, řekli: Více sluší poslouchati Boha než lidí.
And Petre answeride, and the apostlis, and seiden, It bihoueth to obeie to God, more than to men.
30 Bůh otců našich vzkřísil Ježíše, kteréhož jste vy zamordovali, pověsivše na dřevě.
God of oure fadris reiside Jhesu, whom ye slowen, hangynge in a tre.
31 Toho jest Bůh, jakožto Knížete a Spasitele, povýšil pravicí svou, aby bylo dáno lidu Izraelskému pokání a odpuštění hříchů.
God enhaunside with his riythond this prince and sauyour, that penaunce were yyue to Israel, and remyssioun of synnes.
32 A my jsme svědkové toho všeho, což mluvíme, ano i Duch svatý, kteréhož dal Bůh těm, jenž jsou poslušni jeho.
And we ben witnessis of these wordis, and the Hooli Goost, whom God yaf to alle obeischinge to him.
33 Oni pak slyševše to, rozzlobili se, a radili se o to, kterak by je vyhladili.
Whanne thei herden these thingis, thei weren turmentid, and thouyten to sle hem.
34 Tedy povstav v radě jeden farizeus, jménem Gamaliel, Zákona učitel, vzácný muž u všeho lidu, rozkázal, aby na malou chvíli ven vyvedli apoštoly.
But a man roos in the counsel, a Farise, Gamaliel bi name, a doctour of the lawe, a worschipful man to al the puple, and comaundide the men to be put without forth for a while.
35 I řekl jim: Muži Izraelští, pilně se rozmyslte při těchto lidech, co máte činiti.
And he seide to hem, Ye men of Israel, take tent to you silf on these men, what ye schulen do.
36 Nebo před těmito časy byl povstal Teudas, pravě se také býti něčím velikým, jehož se přídrželo mužů okolo čtyř set; kterýžto již zahynul, i všickni, kteříž přistoupili k němu, rozptýleni jsou a v nic obráceni.
For bifore these daies Teodas, that seide hym silf to be sum man, to whom a noumbre of men consentiden, aboute foure hundrid; which was slayn, and alle that bileueden to hym, weren disparplit, and brouyt to nouyt.
37 Po něm pak povstal Judas Galilejský za dnů popisu, a mnoho lidu po sobě obrátil. Ale i ten zahynul, a všickni, kteřížkoli přistoupili k němu, rozptýleni jsou.
Aftir this, Judas of Galilee was in the daies of professioun, and turnyde awei the puple aftir hym; and alle hou manye euere consentiden to hym, weren scatered, and he perischide.
38 A protož nyní pravím vám: Dejte pokoj těmto lidem, a nechte jich. Nebo jestližeť jest z lidí rada tato anebo dílo toto, rozprchneť se;
And now therfor Y seie to you, departe ye fro these men, and suffre ye hem; for if this counsel ether werk is of men, it schal be vndon;
39 Pakliť jest z Boha, nebudete moci toho zkaziti; abyste snad i Bohu odporní nalezeni nebyli.
but if it is of God, ye moun not vndo hem, lest perauenture ye be foundun to repugne God.
40 I povolili jemu. A povolavše apoštolů, a zmrskavše je, přikázali, aby více nemluvili ve jménu Ježíšovu. I propustili je.
And thei consentiden to him; and thei clepiden togidere the apostlis, and denounsiden to hem, that weren betun, that thei schulden no more speke in the name of Jhesu, and thei leten hem go.
41 Oni pak šli z toho jejich shromáždění, radujíce se, že jsou hodni učiněni trpěti protivenství pro jméno Pána Ježíše.
And thei wenten ioiynge fro the siyt of the counsel, that thei weren had worthi to suffre dispisyng for the name of Jhesu.
42 Na každý pak den nepřestávali v chrámě i po domích učiti a zvěstovati Ježíše Krista.
But ech dai thei ceessiden not in the temple, and aboute housis, to teche and to preche Jhesu Crist.
