1 Timoteovi 1
1 Pavel, apoštol Ježíše Krista, podle zřízení Boha spasitele našeho a pána Jezukrista, naděje naší,
Paul an apostle (of [the] Lord *O*) Christ Jesus according to [the] command of God [the] Savior of us and (Lord *K*) Christ Jesus the hope of us
2 Timoteovi, vlastnímu synu u víře: Milost, milosrdenství a pokoj od Boha Otce našeho a od Krista Ježíše Pána našeho.
To Timothy [my] true child in [the] faith: Grace, mercy, [and] peace from God [the] Father (of us *K*) and Christ Jesus the Lord of us.
3 Jakož jsem prosil tebe, abys pozůstal v Efezu, když jsem šel do Macedonie, viziž, abys přikázal některým jiného učení neučiti,
even as I urged you to remain in Ephesus [when] I was going to Macedonia so that you may warn certain men not to teach other doctrines
4 Ani oblibovati básní a vypravování rodů, čemuž konce není, odkudž jen hádky pocházejí, více nežli vzdělání Boží, kteréž jest u víře,
nor to give heed to myths and to genealogies endless, which (speculations *N(k)O*) bring rather than stewardship of God which [is] in faith.
5 Ješto konec přikázání jest láska z srdce čistého a z svědomí dobrého a z víry neošemetné.
And the goal of [our] instruction is love out of a pure heart and a conscience good and a faith sincere,
6 Od čehož někteří jako od cíle pobloudivše, uchýlili se k marnomluvnosti,
from which some having missed the mark they have turned aside to meaningless discourse
7 Chtíce býti učitelé Zákona, a nerozumějíce, ani co mluví, ani čeho zastávají.
desiring to be teachers of the Law, not understanding neither what they are saying nor [that] about which they confidently assert.
8 Víme pak, že dobrý jest Zákon, když by ho kdo náležitě užíval,
We know now that good [is] the law if one it lawfully shall use,
9 Toto znaje, že spravedlivému není uložen Zákon, ale nepravým a nepoddaným, bezbožným a hříšníkům, nešlechetným a nečistým, mordéřům otců svých a matek, vražedlníkům,
knowing this, that for a righteous [one] law not is enacted, for [the] lawless however and insubordinate, for [the] ungodly and sinful, for [the] unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for slayers of man,
10 Smilníkům, samcoložníkům, těm, kteříž lidi kradou, lhářům, křivým přísežníkům, a jest-li co jiného, ješto by bylo naodpor zdravému učení,
for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for enslavers, for liars, for perjurers, and if anything other which to sound teaching is opposed
11 Jenž jest podle slavného evangelium blahoslaveného Boha, kteréžto mně svěřeno jest.
according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, with which was entrusted I myself.
12 Protož děkuji tomu, kterýž mne zmocnil, totiž Kristu Ježíši Pánu našemu, že mne za tak věrného soudil, aby mne v službě té postavil,
(and *k*) Thankfulness I have for the [One] having strengthened me for Christ Jesus the Lord of us that faithful me He esteemed having appointed [me] to service,
13 Ješto jsem prve byl ruhač, a protivník, a ukrutník. Ale milosrdenství jsem došel; neb jsem to z neznámosti činil v nevěře.
(*N(k)O*) formerly being a blasphemer and a persecutor and insolent; but I was shown mercy, because being ignorant I did [it] in unbelief;
14 Rozhojnila se pak náramně milost Pána našeho, s věrou a s milováním, kteréž jest v Kristu Ježíši.
Surpassingly increased then the grace of the Lord of us with [the] faith and love that [are] in Christ Jesus.
15 Věrnáť jest tato řeč a všelijak oblíbení hodná, že Kristus Ježíš přišel na svět, aby hříšné spasil, z nichžto já první jsem.
Trustworthy [is] the saying and of full acceptance worthy that Christ Jesus came into the world sinners to save, of whom [the] foremost am I myself;
16 Ale proto milosrdenství jsem došel, aby na mně prvním dokázal Ježíš Kristus všeliké dobrotivosti, ku příkladu těm, kteříž mají uvěřiti v něho k životu věčnému. (aiōnios g166)
But because of this I was shown mercy, that in me myself [the] foremost may display Christ Jesus ([his] perfect *N(K)O*) patience as a pattern for those being about to believe on Him to life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
17 Protož Králi věků nesmrtelnému, neviditelnému, samému moudrému Bohu budiž čest i sláva na věky věků. Amen. (aiōn g165)
now to the King of the ages, [the] immortal invisible only (wise *K*) God, [be] honor and glory to the ages of the ages, Amen. (aiōn g165)
18 Totoť přikázání poroučím tobě, synu Timotee, totiž abys podle předešlých o tobě proroctví bojoval v tom dobrý boj,
This charge I commit to you, [my] child Timothy, according to the going before as to you prophecies, that (you may war *NK(o)*) by them the good warfare
19 Maje víru a dobré svědomí, kteréžto někteří potrativše, zhynuli u víře.
holding faith and a good conscience, which some having cast away concerning the faith caused a shipwreck,
20 Z nichžto jest Hymeneus a Alexander, kteréž jsem vydal satanu, aby trestáni jsouce, učili se nerouhati.
among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander whom I have handed over to Satan that they may be disciplined not to blaspheme.
