1 Korintským 6

1 Smí někdo z vás, maje při s druhým, souditi se před nepravými, a ne raději před svatými?

Dare any of you, having, a matter against his brother, sue for judgment before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

2 Nevíte-liž, že svatí svět souditi budou? I poněvadž od vás souzen býti má svět, kterakž tedy nehodni jste těch nejmenších věcí rozsuzovati?

Or know ye not that, the saints, shall judge the world? And, if, by you, the world, is to be judged, unworthy are ye of the smallest judgment-seats?

3 Zdaliž nevíte, že anděly souditi budeme? Co pak tyto časné věci?

Know ye not that we shall judge, messengers? and not, then, matters of this life?

4 Protož když byste měli míti soud o tyto časné věci, těmi, kteříž nejzadnější jsou v církvi, soud osaďte.

If, then, for matters of this, life ye have judgment-seats, them who are of no account in the assembly, these, are ye seating thereupon?

5 K zahanbeníť vašemu to pravím. Tak-liž není mezi vámi moudrého ani jednoho, kterýž by mohl rozsouditi mezi bratrem a bratrem svým?

With a view to shame you, am I speaking. So, is it possible that there is among you—not so much as one wise man, who shall be able to judge between his brethren, —

6 Ale bratr s bratrem soudí se, a to před nevěřícími?

But, brother with brother, sueth for judgment, and that before unbelievers?

7 Již tedy konečně nedostatek mezi vámi jest, že soudy máte mezi sebou. Proč raději křivdy netrpíte? Proč raději škody nebéřete?

Already, indeed, it is an utter defeat for you, that ye are having, law-suits, one with another. Wherefore are ye not rather taking wrong? Wherefore are ye not rather suffering yourselves to be defrauded?

8 Nýbrž vy křivdu činíte, a k škodě přivodíte, a to bratří své.

Nay! but, ye, are doing wrong, and defrauding, —and that [your] brethren.

9 Zdali nevíte, že nespravedliví dědictví království Božího nedosáhnou? Nemylte se, však ani smilníci, ani modláři, ani cizoložníci, ani zženštilí, ani samcoložníci,

Or know ye not that, wrong-doers, shall not inherit, God’s kingdom? Be not deceiving yourselves: —neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites,

10 Ani zloději, ani lakomci, ani opilci, ani zlolejci, ani dráči, dědictví království Božího nedůjdou.

Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners—shall inherit, God’s kingdom.

11 A takoví jste někteří byli, ale obmyti jste, ale posvěceni jste, ale ospravedlněni jste ve jménu Pána Jezukrista a skrze Ducha Boha našeho.

And, these things, were some of you; but ye bathed them away, —but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified, in the name of [our] Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.

12 Všecko mi sluší, ale ne všecko prospívá; všecko mi sluší, ale jáť pod žádné té věci moc poddán nebudu.

All things, unto me, are allowable, but, not all things, are profitable: all things, unto me, are allowable, but, I, will not be brought under authority by any.

13 Pokrmové břichu náležejí, a břicho pokrmům; Bůh pak i pokrmy i břicho zkazí. Ale tělo ne smilstvu oddáno býti má, ale Pánu, a Pán tělu.

Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods; but, God, will set aside, both it and them. The body, however, is not for fornication, but, for the Lord, —and, the Lord, for the body.

14 Bůh pak i Pána Ježíše vzkřísil, i nás také vzkřísí mocí svou.

God, moreover, hath both raised up, the Lord, and will raise, us, up from among [the dead] through his power.

15 Nevíte-liž, že těla vaše jsou údové Kristovi? Což tedy vezma údy Kristovy, učiním je údy nevěstky? Odstup to.

Know ye not that, your bodies, are, members of Christ? Shall I, then, take away the members of the Christ and make them members of a harlot? Far be it!

16 Zdaliž nevíte, že kdož se připojuje k nevěstce, jedno tělo jest s ní? Nebo dí Písmo: Budou dva jedno tělo.

Or know ye not that, he that joineth himself unto the harlot, is, one body? For, saith he, the two, shall become, one flesh;

17 Ten pak, jenž se připojuje Pánu, jeden duch jest s ním.

But, he that joineth himself unto the Lord, is, one Spirit.

18 Utíkejte smilstva. Všeliký hřích, kterýžkoli učinil by člověk, kromě těla jest, ale kdož smilní, ten proti svému vlastnímu tělu hřeší.

Flee fornication! Every sin, whatsoever a man shall commit, is, outside his body, but, he that committeth fornication, bringeth sin into his own body.

19 Zdaliž nevíte, že tělo vaše jest chrám Ducha svatého, jenž přebývá v vás, kteréhož máte od Boha, a nejste sami svoji?

Or know ye not that, your body, is, a shrine of the Holy Spirit that is within you, which ye have from God? And ye are not your own; —

20 Nebo koupeni jste za velikou mzdu. Oslavujtež tedy Boha tělem vaším i duchem vaším, kteréžto věci Boží jsou.

For ye have been bought with a price! Therefore glorify God in your body.
