8 Synové Chamovi: Chus, Mizraim, Put a Kanán.
The sons of Ham: Cush, and Misrayim, Put, and Canaan.
9 A synové Chusovi: Sába, Evila, Sabata, Regma, Sabatacha. Synové pak Regmovi: Sába a Dedan.
And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Chavilah, and Sabta, and Ra'mah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Ra'mah: Sheba, and Dedan.
10 Zplodil také Chus Nimroda; ten počal mocným býti na zemi.
And Cush begat Nimrod: this one began to be a mighty man upon the earth.
11 Mizraim pak zplodil Ludim, Anamim, Laabim a Neftuim,
And Mizrayim begat the Ludim, and there the 'Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuchim,
12 Fetruzim také a Chasluim, (odkudž pošli Filistinští), a Kafturim.
And the Pathrussim, and the Cassluchim, of whom came the Philistines, and the Caphthorim.
13 Kanán pak zplodil Sidona, prvorozeného svého, a Het,
And Canaan begat Zidon, his first-born, and Heth.
14 A Jebuzea, Amorea a Gergezea,
And the Jebusite, and the Emorite, and the Girgashite,
15 A Hevea, Aracea a Sinea,
And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
16 A Aradia, Samarea a Amatea.
And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Chamathite.
17 Synové Semovi: Elam, Assur, Arfaxad, Lud, Aram, Hus a Hul, Geter a Mas.

18 A Arfaxad zplodil Sále, Sále pak zplodil Hebera.

19 Heberovi pak narodili se dva synové, z nichž jednoho jméno Peleg, proto že za dnů jeho rozdělena byla země, jméno pak bratra jeho Jektan.
And unto 'Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
20 Kterýžto Jektan zplodil Elmodada, Salefa, Azarmota a Járe,
And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Chazarmaveth, and Jerach,
21 A Adoráma, Uzala a Dikla,
And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
22 A Ebale, Abimahele a Sebai,
And 'Ebal and Abimael, and Sheba,
23 A Ofira, Evila a Jobaba. Všickni ti byli synové Jektanovi.
And Ophir, and Chavilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
24 Sem, Arfaxad, Sále,
Shem, Arpachshad, Shelach,
25 Heber, Peleg, Réhu,
'Eber, Peleg, Re'u,
26 Sárug, Náchor, Táre,
Serug, Nachor, Terach,
27 Abram, ten jest Abraham.
Abram, the same is Abraham.
28 Synové Abrahamovi: Izák a Izmael.

29 Tito jsou rodové jejich: Prvorozený Izmaelův Nabajot, Cedar, Adbeel a Mabsan,

The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Re'uel, and Ye'ush, and Ya'lam, and Korach.
36 Synové Elifazovi: Teman, Omar, Sefi, Gatam, Kenaz a syn Tamny, totiž Amalech.
The sons of Eliphaz: Theman, and Omar, Zephi, and Ga'tam, Kenas, and Thimna', and 'Amalek.
37 Synové Rahuelovi: Nahat, Zára, Samma a Méza.
The sons of Re'uel: Nachath, Zerach, Shammah, and Mizzah.
38 Synové pak Seir: Lotan, Sobal, Sebeon, Ana, Dison, Eser a Dízan.
And the sons of Se'ir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zib'on, and 'Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 Synové pak Lotanovi: Hori a Homam. Sestra pak Lotanova: Tamna.
And the sons of Lotan: Chori, and Homam: and the sister of Lotan: Thimna'.
40 Synové Sobalovi: Alian, Manáhat, Ebal, Sefi a Onam. Synové pak Sebeonovi: Aia a Ana.
The sons of Shobal: 'Alyan, and Manachath, and 'Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zib'on: 'Ayah, and 'Anah.
41 Synové Anovi: Dison. A synové Disonovi: Hamran, Eseban, Jetran a Charan.

42 Synové Eser: Balaan, Závan a Jakan. Synové Dízonovi: Hus a Aran.

43 Tito pak jsou králové, kteříž kralovali v zemi Idumejské, prvé než kraloval který král z synů Izraelských: Béla syn Beorův, jehožto město jméno mělo Denaba.
And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela' the son of Be'or; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
44 A když umřel Béla, kraloval na místě jeho Jobab, syn Záre z Bozra.
And Bela' died, and there reigned in his stead Jobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.
45 A když umřel Jobab, kraloval místo něho Husam z země Temanské.
And Jobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Theman.
46 A když umřel Husam, kraloval místo něho Adad syn Badadův, kterýž porazil Madianské v krajině Moábské; jehož město jméno mělo Avith.
And Chusham died and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was 'Avith.
47 A když umřel Adad, kraloval na místě jeho Semla z Masreka.
And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Massrekah.
48 A když umřel Semla, kraloval místo něho Saul z Rohobot řeky.
And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Saul of Rechoboth by the river.
49 A když umřel Saul, kraloval místo něho Bálanan, syn Achoborův.
And Saul died, and there reigned in his stead Ba'al-chanan the son of 'Achbor.
50 A když umřel Bálanan, kraloval místo něho Adad, jehož město řečené Pahu; jméno pak ženy jeho Mehetabel, dcera Matredy, dcery Mezábovy.
And Ba'al-chanan died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad; and the name of his city was Pa'i; and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
51 A když umřel Adad, byli vývodové Idumejští: Vývoda Tamna, vývoda Alja, vývoda Jetet,
Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were: Thimna', duke 'Alvah, duke Jetheth,
52 Vývoda Olibama, vývoda Ela, vývoda Finon,
Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
53 Vývoda Kenaz, vývoda Teman, vývoda Mabsar,
Duke Kenas, duke Theman, duke Mibzar,
54 Vývoda Magdiel, vývoda Híram. Ti byli vývodové Idumejští.
Duke Magdiel, duke 'Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
