1 Potom řekl David král všemu shromáždění: Šalomouna syna mého jediného vyvolil Bůh ještě maličkého a mladého, dílo pak toto veliké jest; nebo ne člověku palác ten, ale Hospodinu Bohu býti má.
And David the king said to all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom the Lord has chosen, [is] young and tender, and the work [is] great; for [it is] not for man, but for the Lord God.
2 Já zajisté podlé své nejvyšší možnosti nachystal jsem potřeb k domu Boha svého, zlata k nádobám zlatým, a stříbra k stříbrným, mědi k měděným, železa k železným a dříví k dřevěným, kamení onychinového i kamení k vsazování, i karbunkulového, a rozličných barev, a všelijakého kamení drahého, i kamení mramorového hojně.
I have prepared according to all [my] might for the house of my God gold, silver, brass, iron, wood, onyx stones, and costly and variegated stones for setting, and every precious stone, and much Parian [marble].
3 Nadto z veliké lásky k domu Boha svého, maje zvláštní poklad zlata a stříbra, i ten dávám k domu Boha svého mimo všecko to, což jsem připravil k domu svatyně,
And still farther, because I took pleasure in the house of my God, I have gold and silver which I have procured for myself, and, behold, I have given them to the house of my God over and above, beyond what I have prepared for the holy house.
4 Totiž tři tisíce centnéřů zlata, zlata z Ofir, a sedm tisíc centnéřů stříbra přečištěného k potažení stěn domů svatých,
Three thousand talents of gold of Suphir, and seven thousand talents of fine silver, for the overlaying of the walls of the sanctuary:
5 Zlata k nádobám zlatým a stříbra k stříbrným i ke všelikému dílu řemeslnému. A jestliže jest kdo více, ješto by co chtěl dobrovolně obětovati dnes Hospodinu?
[for thee to use] the gold for [things of] gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for every work by the hand of the artificers. And who is willing to dedicate himself in work this day for the Lord?
6 Tedy knížata čeledí otcovských a knížata pokolení Izraelských, i hejtmané a setníci i úředníci nad dílem královským dobrovolně obětovali.
Then the heads of families, and the princes of the children of Israel, and the captains of thousands and captains of hundreds, and the overseers of the works, and the king's builders, offered willingly.
7 A dali k službě domu Božího zlata pět tisíc centnéřů, a deset tisíc zlatých, stříbra pak deset tisíc centnéřů, a mědi osmnácte tisíc centnéřů, a železa sto tisíc centnéřů.
And they gave for the works of the house of the Lord five thousand talents of gold, and ten thousand gold [pieces], and ten thousand talents of silver, and eighteen thousand talents of brass, and a hundred thousand talents of iron.
8 Kdožkoli měli kamení drahé, dávali do pokladu domu Hospodinova do rukou Jechiele Gersunského.
And they who had [precious] stone, gave it into the treasuries of the house of the Lord by the hand of Jeiel the Gedsonite.
9 I veselil se lid, že tak ochotně obětovali; nebo celým srdcem dobrovolně obětovali Hospodinu. Nýbrž i král David radoval se radostí velikou.
And the people rejoiced because of the willingness, for they offered willingly to the Lord with a full heart: and king David rejoiced greatly.
10 A protož dobrořečil David Hospodinu před oblíčejem všeho shromáždění, a řekl David: Požehnaný jsi ty Hospodine, Bože Izraele otce našeho, od věků až na věky.
And king David blessed the Lord before the congregation, saying, Blessed art thou, O Lord God of Israel, our Father, from everlasting and to everlasting.
11 Tváť jest, ó Hospodine, velebnost i moc i sláva, i vítězství i čest, ano i všecko, což jest v nebi i v zemi. Tvé jest, ó Hospodine, království, a ty jsi vyšší nad všelikou vrchnost.
Thine, O Lord, [is] the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the might: for thou art Lord of all things that are in heaven and upon the earth: before thy face every king and nation is troubled.
12 I bohatství i sláva od tebe jest, a ty panuješ nade vším, a v ruce tvé jest moc a síla, a v ruce tvé také jest i to, kohož chceš zvelebiti a upevniti.
From thee [come] wealth and glory: thou, O Lord, rulest over all, the Lord of all dominion, and in thy hand [is] strength and rule; and [thou art] almighty with thy hand to increase and establish all things.
13 Nyní tedy, Bože náš, děkujeme tobě, a chválíme jméno slávy tvé.
And now, Lord, we give thanks to thee, and praise thy glorious name.
14 Nebo kdo jsem já, a co jest lid můj, abychom mohli míti moc k tak dobrovolnému obětování tobě? Od tebeť jest zajisté všecko, a i to z ruky tvé dali jsme tobě.
But who am I, and what [is] my people, that we have been able to be thus forward [in offering] to thee? for all things [are] thine, and of thine own have we given thee,
15 Nebo my příchozí jsme před tebou a hosté, jako i všickni otcové naši; dnové naši jsou jako stín běžící po zemi beze vší zástavy.
for we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as all our fathers [were]: our days upon the earth [are] as a shadow, and there is no remaining.
16 Hospodine, Bože náš, všecka ta hojnost, kterouž jsme připravili k stavení domu tvého, jménu svatému tvému, z ruky tvé jest, a tvé jsou všecky věci.
O Lord our God, as for all this abundance which I have prepared that a house should be built to thy holy name, it is of thy hand, and all [is] thine.
17 Známť pak, Bože můj, že ty zpytuješ srdce, a upřímnost oblibuješ; protož já z upřímnosti srdce svého ochotně obětoval jsem toto všecko. Ano i lid tvůj, kterýž se teď shledal, viděl jsem, jak s radostí chtivě obětuje tobě.
And I know, Lord, that thou art he that searches the hearts, and thou lovest righteousness. I have willingly offered all these things in simplicity of heart; and now I have seen with joy thy people here present, willingly offering to thee.
18 Hospodine, Bože Abrahama, Izáka a Izraele, otců našich, zachovejž to na věky, totiž snažnost takovou srdce lidu svého, a nastrojuj srdce jejich sobě.
O Lord God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, preserve these things in the thought of the heart of thy people for ever, and direct their hearts to thee.
19 Šalomounovi také synu mému dej srdce upřímé, aby ostříhal přikázaní tvých, svědectví tvých a ustanovení tvých, a aby činil všecko, a vystavěl dům ten, k němuž jsem potřeby připravil.
And to Solomon my son give a good heart, to perform thy commandments, and [to observe] thy testimonies, and thine ordinances, and to accomplish the building of thy house.
20 Potom řekl David všemu shromáždění: Dobrořečte nyní Hospodinu Bohu svému. I dobrořečilo všecko shromáždění Hospodinu Bohu otců svých, a přisehnuvše hlavy, poklonili se Hospodinu i králi.
And David said to the whole congregation, Bless ye the Lord our God. And all the congregation blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and they bowed the knee and worshipped the Lord, and [did obeisance] to the king.
21 Zatím obětovali Hospodinu oběti, obětovali také zápaly Hospodinu nazejtří, volů tisíc, skopců tisíc, beranů tisíc, s mokrými obětmi jejich, a jiných obětí množství za všecken lid Izraelský.
And David sacrificed to the Lord, and offered up whole-burnt-offerings to the Lord on the morrow after the first day, a thousand calves, a thousand rams, a thousand lambs, and their drink-offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.
22 I jedli a pili před Hospodinem v ten den s radostí velikou. Potom za krále ustanovili po druhé Šalomouna syna Davidova, a pomazali jej Hospodinu za vývodu, a Sádocha za kněze.
And they ate and drank joyfully that day before the Lord: and they made Solomon the son of David king a second time, and anointed him king before the Lord, and Sadoc to the priesthood.
23 A tak dosedl Šalomoun na stolici Hospodinovu, aby byl králem místo Davida otce svého. I vedlo se mu šťastně, a poslouchal ho všecken Izrael.
And Solomon sat upon the throne of his father David, and was highly honoured; and all Israel obeyed him.
24 Tolikéž i všecka knížata a znamenití, i všickni synové krále Davida poddali se Šalomounovi králi.
The princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons of king David his father, were subject to him.
25 I zvelebil Hospodin Šalomouna náramně před očima všeho Izraele, a dal mu slávu královskou, jakéž neměl před ním žádný král v Izraeli.
And the Lord magnified Solomon over all Israel, and gave him royal glory, such as was not upon any king before him.
26 Kraloval pak byl David syn Izai nade vším Izraelem.
And David the son of Jessae reigned over Israel forty years;
27 A dnů, v nichž kraloval David nad Izraelem, bylo čtyřidceti let. V Hebronu kraloval sedm let, a v Jeruzalémě kraloval třidceti a tři léta.
seven years in Chebron, and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
28 I umřel v starosti dobré, pln jsa dnů, bohatství a slávy, a kraloval Šalomoun syn jeho místo něho.
And he died in a good old age, full of days, in wealth, and glory: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.
29 Èinové pak Davida krále první i poslední popsáni jsou v knize Samuele proroka, a v knize Nátana proroka, též v knize Gáda proroka,
And the rest of the acts of David, the former and the latter, are written in the history of Samuel the seer, and in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the history of Gad the seer,
30 Se vším kralováním i silou jeho, i se všemi příběhy časů při něm i při lidu Izraelském, i při všech královstvích zemských.
concerning all his reign, and his power, and the times which went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the earth.
