Římanům 1
1 Pavel, služebník Jezukristův, povolaný apoštol, oddělený k kázaní evangelium Božího,
Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, a called apostle, set apart to preach the gospel of God,
2 Kteréž zdávna zaslíbil skrze proroky své v písmích svatých,
which he had promised before by his prophets in the Holy Scriptures,
3 O Synu svém zplozeném z semene Davidova s strany těla,
the gospel concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David as to the flesh,
4 Kterýž prokázán jest býti Synem Božím mocně, podlé Ducha posvěcení, skrze z mrtvých vstání, totiž o Ježíši Kristu, Pánu našem,
and shown with power to be the Son of God as to his spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord;
5 Skrze něhož jsme přijali milost a apoštolství ku poslušenství víry mezi všemi národy pro jméno jeho,
through whom we received grace and the office of an apostle in behalf of his name, in order to produce obedience to the faith among all nations;
6 Z nichž i vy jste povolaní Ježíše Krista,
among whom are ye also, the called of Jesus Christ;
7 Všechněm, kteříž jste v Římě, milým Božím, povolaným svatým: Milost vám a pokoj od Boha Otce našeho a Pána Ježíše Krista.
to all the beloved of God at Rome, called, holy: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
8 Nejprvé pak díky činím Bohu svému skrze Ježíše Krista ze všech vás, že víra vaše rozhlašuje se po všem světě.
In the first place, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
9 Svědek mi jest zajisté Bůh, kterémuž sloužím duchem svým v evangelium Syna jeho, žeť bez přestání zmínku o vás činím,
For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how constantly I make mention of you, always in my prayers
10 Vždycky na svých modlitbách žádaje, abych aspoň někdy mohl šťastně, byla-li by vůle Boží, k vám přijíti.
supplicating that, if it be possible, I may at last through the will of God be favored with an opportunity of coming to you.
11 Neboť velice žádám viděti vás, abych vám udělil částku nějakou milosti duchovní ku potvrzení vašemu,
For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, which may be for your confirmation;
12 To jest, abych spolu s vámi potěšen byl, skrze společnou i vaši i mou víru.
that is, that I may be edified among you, and you also, through each other's faith, both yours and mine.
13 Nechciť pak, bratří, abyste nevěděli, žeť jsem mnohokrát uložil přijíti k vám, (ale překážky jsem měl až dosavad, ) abych nějaký užitek také i mezi vámi měl, jako i mezi jinými národy.
But I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that I often purposed to come to you, though I have been hindered hitherto, that I might have some fruit of my labors among you also, as among the other gentiles.
14 Nebo Řeků i kterýchkoli jiných národů, i moudrých i nemoudrých, dlužník jsem.
I am debtor both to Greeks and barbarians, both to the wise and the unwise.
15 A tak, pokudž na mně jest, hotov jsem i vám, kteříž v Římě jste, zvěstovati evangelium.
So, according to my ability, I am ready to preach the gospel to you also in Rome.
16 Neboť se nestydím za evangelium Kristovo; moc zajisté Boží jest k spasení každému věřícímu, Židu předně, potom i Řeku.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel; for to every believer, to the Jew first and also to the Greek, it is the power of God unto salvation.
17 Nebo spravedlnost Boží zjevuje se skrze ně z víry u víru, jakož psáno jest: Spravedlivý pak z víry živ bude.
For therein is revealed the righteousness which is of God from faith to faith; as it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”
18 Zjevuje se zajisté hněv Boží s nebe proti každé bezbožnosti a nepravosti lidí, pravdu Boží v nepravosti zadržujících.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all impiety and unrighteousness of men, who keep down the truth in unrighteousness.
19 Nebo což poznáno býti může o Bohu, známé jest jim, Bůh zajisté zjevil jim.
Because that which may be known of God is manifest within them; for God made it manifest to them.
20 Nebo neviditelné věci jeho, hned od stvoření světa, po věcech učiněných rozumem pochopeny bývají, totiž ta jeho věčná moc a Božství, tak aby oni byli bez výmluvy, (aïdios g126)
For, ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes, even his eternal power and divinity, being perceived from his works, are clearly seen, so that they might be without excuse. (aïdios g126)
21 Proto že poznavše Boha, nectili jako Boha, ani jemu děkovali, ale marní učiněni jsou v myšleních svých, a zatmíno jest nemoudré srdce jejich.
Because though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, nor were they thankful to him; but became perverse in their reasonings, and their senseless minds were darkened;
22 Měvše se za moudré, blázni učiněni jsou.
professing to be wise, they became fools,
23 Nebo směnili slávu neporušitelného Boha v podobenství obrazu porušitelného člověka, i ptactva, i hovad čtvernohých, i zeměplazů.
and for the glory of the incorruptible God they substituted images of corruptible man, and of birds and four-footed beasts and creeping things.
24 Protož i Bůh vydal je v žádosti srdce jejich k nečistotě, aby zprznili těla svá vespolek.
Wherefore God also gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to debase their bodies with one another;
25 Jako ty, kteříž směnili pravdu Boží za lež, a ctili i sloužili stvoření raději nežli stvořiteli, kterýž jest požehnaný na věky. Amen. (aiōn g165)
because they changed the true God for false gods, and adored and worshipped created things rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
26 Protož je vydal Bůh v žádosti ohavné. Nebo i ženy jejich změnily přirozené sebe užívání v to, kteréž jest proti přirození.
For this cause God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women indulged in unnatural lust,
27 A podobně i mužské pohlaví, opustivše přirozené užívání ženy, rozpálili se v žádosti své jedni k druhým, mužské pohlaví s mužským pohlavím mrzkost pášíce, a spravedlivou mzdu, kteráž na jejich blud slušela, sami na sebe uvodíce.
and in like manner the men also, neglecting the natural use of the female, burned with lust for one another, men with men practising that which is shameful, and receiving in themselves the due recompense of their error.
28 A jakož sobě nevážili známosti Boha, tak i Bůh vydal je v převrácený smysl, aby činili to, což nesluší,
And as they did not choose to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do things which are shameful;
29 Jsouce naplněni vší nepravostí, smilstvem, nešlechetností, lakomstvím, zlostí, plní závisti, vraždy, svárů, lsti, zlých obyčejů,
being filled with all unrighteousness, malice, covetousness, wickedness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; backbiters,
30 Utrhači, pomluvači, Boha nenávidící, hánliví, pyšní, chlubní, nalezači zlých věcí, rodičů neposlušní,
slanderers, hated of God, insolent, proud, boasters, inventors of mischief, disobedient to parents,
31 Nemoudří, smluv nezdrželiví, beze vší lítosti, neukojitelní a nemilosrdní.
senseless, faithless, without natural affection, without pity;
32 Kteříž vědouce o tom právu Božím, (že ti, kteříž takové věci činí, hodni jsou smrti, ) netoliko ty věci činí, ale i činícím nakládají.
who, although knowing the ordinance of God, that they who practise such things deserve death, not only do them themselves, but approve of those who do them.
