Zjevení Janovo 13
1 I stál jsem na písku mořském. I viděl jsem šelmu vystupující z moře, kteráž měla sedm hlav a deset rohů. A na rozích jejích deset korun, a na hlavách jejích jméno rouhání.
And I stood upon the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and upon his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy.
2 Byla pak šelma ta, kterouž jsem viděl, podobná pardovi, a nohy její jako nedvědí, a ústa její jako ústa lvová. I dal jí drak sílu svou, a trůn svůj, i moc velikou.
And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority.
3 A viděl jsem, ano jedna z hlav jejích jako zbitá byla až na smrt, ale rána její smrtelná uzdravena jest. Tedy divivši se všecka země, šla za tou šelmou.
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed. And the whole earth wondered after the beast.
4 A klaněli se tomu draku, kterýž dal moc šelmě; klaněli se i šelmě, řkouce: Kdo jest podobný té šelmě? Kdo bude moci bojovati s ní?
And they worshipped the dragon, because he gave the authority to the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like to the beast, and who is able to make war with him?
5 I dána jsou jí ústa mluvící veliké věci a rouhání, a dána jí moc vládnouti za čtyřidceti a dva měsíce.
And there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemy; and power was given to him to work forty-two months.
6 Protož otevřela ústa svá k rouhání se Bohu, aby se jménu jeho rouhala, i stánku jeho, i těm, kteříž přebývají na nebi.
And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.
7 Dáno jí i bojovati s svatými, a přemáhati je; a dána jí moc nad všelikým pokolením, nad jazykem, i nad národem.
And it was given to him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and power was given him over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation.
8 Protož klaněti se jí budou všickni, kteříž přebývají na zemi, jichžto jména nejsou napsaná v knize života Beránka, toho zabitého od počátku světa.
And all who dwell on the earth wilt worship him, every one whose name hath not been written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world.
9 Má-li kdo uši, slyš.
If any one hath an ear, let him hear.
10 Jestliže kdo do vězení povede, do vězení půjde; zabije-li kdo mečem, musí mečem zabit býti. Zdeť jest trpělivost a víra svatých.
If any one [[leadeth]] into captivity he shall go into captivity; if any one shall kill with the sword, he must be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.
11 Potom viděl jsem jinou šelmu vystupující z země, a měla dva rohy, podobné Beránkovým, ale mluvila jako drak.
And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.
12 Kteráž všecku moc první té šelmy provozuje před tváří její; a působí to, že země i ti, kteříž přebývají na ní, klanějí se šelmě té první, jejížto rána smrtelná uzdravena byla.
And he exerciseth all the authority of the first beast in his presence; and causeth the earth and those who dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 A činí divy veliké, tak že i ohni rozkazuje sstupovati s nebe na zem před oblíčejem lidským.
And he doeth great signs, so that he even causeth fire to come down from heaven on the earth, in the sight of men.
14 A svodí ty, kteříž přebývají na zemi, těmi divy, kteréž dáno jí činiti před oblíčejem šelmy, říkající obyvatelům země, aby udělali obraz té šelmě, kteráž měla ránu od meče, ale ožila zase.
And he deceiveth them that dwell on the earth, by reason of the signs which it was given him to do in the presence of the beast; commanding those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast which had the wound by a sword, and lived.
15 I dáno jí, aby dáti mohla ducha tomu obrazu šelmy, aby i mluvil obraz té šelmy, a aby to způsobila, kteřížkoli neklaněli by se obrazu té šelmy, aby byli zmordováni.
And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should even speak, and cause that all who did not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 A rozkazuje všechněm, malým i velikým, bohatým, i chudým, svobodným i v službu podrobeným, aby měli znamení na pravé ruce své, aneb na čelích svých,
And he causeth all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the flee and the bond, to receive a mark on their right hand, or on their forehead;
17 A aby žádný nemohl kupovati ani prodávati, než ten, kdož má znamení aneb jméno té šelmy, aneb počet jména jejího.
and that no one shall be able to buy or sell, except him that hath the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Tuť jest moudrost. Kdo má rozum, sečtiž počet té šelmy. Nebo jest počet člověka, a jestiť počet ten šest set šedesáte a šest.
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man, and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.
