Žalmy 50
1 Žalm Azafovi. Bůh silný, Bůh Hospodin mluvil, a přivolal zemi od východu slunce i od západu jeho.
A Psalm for Asaph. The God of gods, the Lord, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down [thereof].
2 Z Siona v dokonalé kráse Bůh zastkvěl se.
Out of Sion [comes] the excellence of his beauty.
3 Béřeť se Bůh náš, a nebude mlčeti; oheň před ním vše zžírati bude, a vůkol něho vichřice náramná.
God, our God, shall come manifestly, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall be kindled before him, and round about him there shall be a very great tempest.
4 Zavolal nebes s hůry i země, aby soudil lid svůj, řka:
He shall summon the heaven above, and the earth, that he may judge his people.
5 Shromažďte mi svaté mé, kteříž smlouvu se mnou učinili při obětech.
Assemble you his saints to him, those that have engaged in a covenant with him upon sacrifices.
6 I budou vypravovati nebesa spravedlnost jeho; nebo sám Bůh soudce jest. (Sélah)
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge. (Pause)
7 Slyš, lide můj, a buduť mluviti, Izraeli, a buduť tebou osvědčovati. Já zajisté Bůh, Bůh tvůj jsem.
Hear, my people, and I will speak to you, O Israel: and I will testify to you: I am God, your God.
8 Nechci tě obviňovati z příčiny obětí tvých, ani zápalů tvých, že by vždycky přede mnou nebyli.
I will not reprove you on account of your sacrifices; for your whole burnt offerings are before me continually.
9 Nevezmuť z domu tvého volka, ani z chlévů tvých kozlů.
I will take no bullocks out of your house, nor he-goats out of your flocks.
10 Nebo má jest všecka zvěř lesní, i hovada na tisíci horách.
For all the wild beasts of the thicket are mine, the cattle on the mountains, and oxen.
11 Já znám všecko ptactvo po horách, a zvěř polní před sebou mám.
I know all the birds of the sky; and the beauty of the field is mine.
12 Zlačním-li, nic tobě o to nedím; nebo můj jest okršlek zemský i plnost jeho.
If I should be hungry, I will not tell you: for the world is mine, and the fullness of it.
13 Zdaliž jídám maso z volů, a pijím krev kozlovou?
Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14 Obětuj Bohu obět chvály, a plň Nejvyššímu své sliby;
Offer to God the sacrifice of praise; and pay your vows to the Most High.
15 A vzývej mne v den ssoužení, vytrhnu tě, a ty mne budeš slaviti.
And call upon me in the day of affliction; and I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. (Pause)
16 Sic jinak bezbožníku praví Bůh: Což tobě do toho, že ty vypravuješ ustanovení má, a béřeš smlouvu mou v ústa svá,
But to the sinner God has said, Why do you declare my ordinances, and take up my covenant in your mouth?
17 Poněvadž jsi vzal v nenávist kázeň, a zavrhl jsi za sebe slova má.
Whereas you have hated instruction, and have cast my words behind [you].
18 Vidíš-li zloděje, hned s ním běžíš, a s cizoložníky díl svůj máš.
If you saw a thief, you ran along with him, and have cast in your lot with adulterers.
19 Ústa svá pouštíš ke zlému, a jazyk tvůj skládá lest.
Your mouth has multiplied wickedness, and your tongue has framed deceit.
20 Usazuješ se, a mluvíš proti bratru svému, a na syna matky své lehkost uvodíš.
You did sit and speak against your brother, and did scandalize your mother's son.
21 To jsi činil, a já mlčel jsem. Měl-liž jsi ty se domnívati, že já tobě podobný budu? Nýbrž trestati tě budu, a představímť to před oči tvé.
These things you did, and I kept silence: you thought wickedly that I should be like you, [but] I will reprove you, and set [your offences] before you.
22 Srozumějtež tomu již aspoň vy, kteříž se zapomínáte na Boha, abych snad nepochytil, a nebyl by, kdo by vytrhl.
Now consider these things, you that forget God, lest he rend [you], and there is no deliverer.
23 Kdož obětuje obět chvály, tenť mne uctí, a tomu, kdož napravuje cestu svou, ukáži spasení Boží.
The sacrifice of praise will glorify me: and that is the way wherein I will show to him the salvation of God.
