Žalmy 29

1 Žalm Davidův. Vzdejte Hospodinu, velikomocní, vzdejte Hospodinu čest a sílu.

A Melody of David. Give to Yahweh, ye sons of the mighty, —Give to Yahweh, [both] glory and strength:

2 Vzdejte Hospodinu slávu jména jeho, sklánějte se Hospodinu v ozdobě svatosti.

Give to Yahweh, the glory of his Name, Bow down to Yahweh, in the adornment of holiness.

3 Hlas Hospodinův nad vodami, Bůh silný slávy hřímání vzbuzuje, Hospodin to činí nad vodami mnohými.

The voice of Yahweh, is upon the waters, —The GOD of glory, hath thundered, Yahweh, is upon mighty waters;

4 Hlas Hospodinův přichází s mocí, hlas Hospodinův s velebností.

The voice of Yahweh, is with power, The voice of Yahweh, is with majesty;

5 Hlas Hospodinův láme cedry, rozrážíť Hospodin cedry Libánské.

The voice of Yahweh, is breaking cedars, Now hath Yahweh, broken down, the cedars of Lebanon!

6 A činí, aby skákali jako telata, Libán a Sirion, jako mladý jednorožec.

And hath made them leap like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion, like the bull-calf of wild-oxen;

7 Hlas Hospodinův rozkřesává plamen ohně.

The voice of Yahweh, is cleaving out flames of fire;

8 Hlas Hospodinův k bolesti přivodí poušť, k bolesti přivodí Hospodin poušť Kádes.

The voice of Yahweh, bringeth birth-pains upon the wilderness; Yahweh bringeth birth-pains upon the wilderness of Kadesh!

9 Hlas Hospodinův to činí, že laně plodu pozbývají, obnažuje i lesy, ale v chrámě svém všecku svou slávu vypravuje.

The voice of Yahweh, causeth the gazelles to bring forth, and hath stript forests; and, in his own temple, every one there, is saying, Glory!

10 Hospodin nad potopou seděl, a budeť seděti Hospodin, jsa králem i na věky.

Yahweh, at the Flood, was seated, And Yahweh hath taken his seat, as king, unto times age-abiding.

11 Hospodin silou lid svůj daří, Hospodin požehná lidu svému v pokoji.

Yahweh, will give, strength to his people, —Yahweh, will bless his people with prosperity.
