Žalmy 20

1 Přednímu zpěváku, žalm Davidův. Vyslyšiž tě Hospodin v den ssoužení, k zvýšení tě přiveď jméno Boha Jákobova.

To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. The Lord heare thee in the day of trouble: the name of ye God of Iaakob defend thee:

2 Sešliž tobě pomoc z svatyně, a z Siona utvrzuj tě.

Send thee helpe from the Sanctuarie, and strengthen thee out of Zion.

3 Rozpomeniž se na všecky oběti tvé, a zápaly tvé v popel obrať. (Sélah)

Let him remember all thine offerings, and turne thy burnt offerings into asshes. (Selah)

4 Dejž tobě vše podlé srdce tvého, a všelikou radu tvou vyplň.

And graunt thee according to thine heart, and fulfill all thy purpose:

5 I budeme prozpěvovati o spasení tvém, a ve jménu Boha našeho korouhve vyzdvihneme; naplniž Hospodin všecky prosby tvé.

That we may reioyce in thy saluation, and set vp the banner in the Name of our God, when the Lord shall performe all thy petitions.

6 Nyníť jsme poznali, že Hospodin zachoval svého pomazaného, a že jej vyslyšel s nebe svatého svého; nebo v jeho přesilné pravici jest spasení.

Now know I that the Lord will helpe his anointed, and will heare him from his Sanctuarie, by the mightie helpe of his right hand.

7 Tito v vozích, jiní v koních doufají, ale my jméno Hospodina Boha našeho sobě připomínáme.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the Name of ye Lord our God.

8 A protož oni sehnuti jsou, a padli, ale my povstali jsme, a zmužile stojíme.

They are brought downe and fallen, but we are risen, and stand vpright.

9 Hospodine, zachovávejž nás, i král ať slyší nás, když k němu volati budeme.

Saue Lord: let the King heare vs in the day that we call.
