1 Halelujah. Chvalte jméno Hospodinovo, chvalte služebníci Hospodinovi,
Praise ye Jehovah. Praise ye the name of Jehovah; Praise [him], O ye servants of Jehovah,
2 Kteříž stáváte v domě Hospodinově, v síňcích domu Boha našeho.
Ye that stand in the house of Jehovah, In the courts of the house of our God.
3 Chvalte Hospodina, nebo jest dobrý Hospodin; žalmy zpívejte jménu jeho, nebo rozkošné jest.
Praise ye Jehovah; for Jehovah is good: Sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.
4 Jákoba zajisté sobě vyvolil Hospodin, a Izraele za svůj lid zvláštní.
For Jehovah hath chosen Jacob unto himself, [And] Israel for his own possession.
5 Jáť jsem jistě seznal, že veliký jest Hospodin, a Pán náš nade všecky bohy.
For I know that Jehovah is great, And that our Lord is above all gods.
6 Cožkoli chce Hospodin, to činí na nebi i na zemi, v moři i ve všech propastech.
Whatsoever Jehovah pleased, that hath he done, In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps;
7 Kterýž způsobuje to, že páry vystupují od krajů země; blýskání s deštěm přivodí, a vyvodí vítr z pokladů svých.
Who causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; Who maketh lightnings for the rain; Who bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries;
8 Kterýž zbil prvorozené v Egyptě, od člověka až do hovada.
Who smote the first-born of Egypt, Both of man and beast;
9 Poslal znamení a zázraky u prostřed tebe, Egypte, na Faraona i na všecky služebníky jeho.
Who sent signs and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, Upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants;
10 Kterýž pobil národy mnohé, a zbil krále mocné,
Who smote many nations, And slew mighty kings,
11 Seona krále Amorejského, a Oga krále Bázan, i všecka království Kananejská.
Sihon king of the Amorites, And Og king of Bashan, And all the kingdoms of Canaan,
12 A dal zemi jejich v dědictví, v dědictví Izraelovi lidu svému.
And gave their land for a heritage, A heritage unto Israel his people.
13 Hospodine, jméno tvé na věky, Hospodine, památka tvá od národu až do pronárodu.
Thy name, O Jehovah, [endureth] for ever; Thy memorial [name], O Jehovah, throughout all generations.
14 Souditi zajisté bude Hospodin lid svůj, a služebníkům svým bude milostiv.
For Jehovah will judge his people, And repent himself concerning his servants.
15 Ale modly pohanské stříbro a zlato, dílo rukou lidských,
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, The work of men’s hands.
16 Ústa mají a nemluví, oči mají a nevidí.
They have mouths, but they speak not; Eyes have they, but they see not;
17 Uši mají a neslyší, nýbrž ani ducha není v ústech jejich.
They have ears, but they hear not; Neither is there any breath in their mouths.
18 Buďtež jim podobní, kteříž je dělají, a kdožkoli naději svou v nich skládají.
They that make them shall be like unto them; Yea, every one that trusteth in them.
19 Dome Izraelský, dobrořečte Hospodinu; dome Aronův, dobrořečte Hospodinu.
O house of Israel, bless ye Jehovah: O house of Aaron, bless ye Jehovah:
20 Dome Léví, dobrořečte Hospodinu; kteříž se bojíte Hospodina, dobrořečte Hospodinu.
O house of Levi, bless ye Jehovah: Ye that fear Jehovah, bless ye Jehovah.
21 Požehnaný Hospodin z Siona, kterýž přebývá v Jeruzalémě. Halelujah.
Blessed be Jehovah out of Zion, Who dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye Jehovah.
