Žalmy 108
1 Píseň a žalm Davidův. Hotovo jest srdce mé, Bože, zpívati a oslavovati tě budu, také i sláva má.
“A psalm of David.” O God! my heart is strengthened! I will sing and give thanks.
2 Probuď se loutno a harfo, když v svitání povstávám.
Awake, my soul! awake, my psaltery and harp! I will wake with the early dawn.
3 Slaviti tě budu mezi lidmi, Hospodine, a tobě žalmy prozpěvovati mezi národy.
I will praise thee, O LORD! among the nations; I will sing to thee among the peoples!
4 Nebo nad nebesa větší jest milosrdenství tvé, a až k nejvyšším oblakům pravda tvá.
For thy mercy reacheth to the heavens, And thy truth above the clouds.
5 Vyvyšiž se nad nebesa, ó Bože, a nade všecku zemi sláva tvá.
Exalt thyself, O God! above the heavens, And thy glory above all the earth!
6 Ať jsou vysvobozeni milí tvoji, zachovávejž je pravicí svou, a vyslyš mne.
That thy beloved ones may be delivered, Save with thy right hand, and answer me!
7 Bůh mluvil skrze svatost svou; veseliti se budu, že budu děliti Sichem, a údolí Sochot že rozměřím.
God promiseth in his holiness; I will rejoice; I shall yet divide Shechem, And measure out the valley of Succoth;
8 Můjť jest Galád, můj i Manasses, a Efraim síla hlavy mé, Juda učitel můj.
Gilead shall be mine, and mine Manasseh; Ephraim shall be my helmet, And Judah my sceptre.
9 Moáb medenice k umývání mému, na Edoma uvrhu obuv svou, proti Palestině troubiti budu.
Moab shall be my washbowl; Upon Edom shall I cast my shoe; I shall triumph over Philistia.
10 Kdo mne uvede do města hrazeného? Kdo mne zprovodí až do Idumejské země?
Who will bring me to the strong city? Who will lead me into Edom?
11 Zdali ne ty, ó Bože, kterýž jsi nás byl zavrhl, a nevycházels, ó Bože, s vojsky našimi?
Wilt not thou, O God! who didst forsake us, Who didst not go forth with our armies?
12 Uděliž nám pomoci proti nepříteli, nebo marná jest pomoc lidská.
Give us thine aid in our distress, For vain is the help of man!
13 V Bohu udatně sobě počínati budeme, a on pošlapá nepřátely naše.
Through God we shall do valiantly; For he will tread down our enemies.
