Žalmy 104
1 Dobrořeč duše má Hospodinu. Hospodine Bože můj, velmi jsi veliký, velebnost a krásu jsi oblékl.
[A Psalm] of David. Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, you are very great; you have clothed yourself with praise and honour:
2 Přioděls se světlem jako rouchem, roztáhls nebesa jako kortýnu.
who do robe yourself with light as with a garment; spreading out the heaven as a curtain.
3 Kterýž sklenul na vodách paláce své, kterýž užívá hustých oblaků místo vozů, a vznáší se na peří větrovém.
Who covers his chambers with waters; who makes the clouds his chariot; who walks on the wings of the wind.
4 Kterýž činí posly své duchy, služebníky své oheň plápolající.
Who makes his angels spirits, and his ministers a flaming fire.
5 Založil zemi na sloupích jejich, tak že se nepohne na věky věků.
Who establishes the earth on her sure foundation: it shall not be moved for ever.
6 Propastí jako rouchem byl jsi ji přioděl, i nad horami stály vody.
The deep, as it were a garment, is his covering: the waters shall stand on the hills.
7 K žehrání tvému rozběhly se, před hřmotem hromu tvého pospíšily,
At your rebuke they shall flee; at the voice of your thunder they shall be alarmed.
8 (Vystoupily hory, snížilo se údolí), na místo, kteréž jsi jim založil.
They go up to the mountains, and down to the plains, to the place which you have founded for them.
9 Meze jsi položil, aby jich nepřestupovaly, ani se navracovaly k přikrývání země.
You have set a bound which they shall not pass, neither shall they turn again to cover the earth.
10 Kterýž vypouštíš potoky přes údolé, aby tekli mezi horami,
He sends forth his fountains amongst the valleys: the waters shall run between the mountains.
11 A nápoj dávali všechněm živočichům polním. Tuť uhašují oslové divocí žízeň svou.
They shall give drink to all the wild beasts of the field: the wild asses shall take [of them] to [quench] their thirst.
12 Při nich hnízdí se ptactvo nebeské, a z prostřed ratolestí hlas svůj vydává.
By them shall the birds of the sky lodge: they shall utter a voice out of the midst of the rocks.
13 Kterýž svlažuješ hory z výsostí svých, aby ovocem činů tvých sytila se země.
He waters the mountains from his chambers: the earth shall be satisfied with the fruit of your works.
14 Dáváš, aby rostla tráva dobytku, a bylina ku potřebě člověku, abys tak vyvodil chléb z země,
He makes grass to grow for the cattle, and green herb for the service of men, to bring bread out of the earth;
15 A víno, jenž obveseluje srdce člověka. Činí, aby se stkvěla tvář od oleje, ano i pokrmem zdržuje život lidský.
and wine makes glad the heart of man, to make his face cheerful with oil: and bread strengthens man's heart.
16 Nasyceno bývá i dříví Hospodinovo, cedrové Libánští, kteréž štípil.
The trees of the plain shall be full [of sap]; [even] the cedars of Libanus which he has planted.
17 Na nichž se ptáci hnízdí, i čáp příbytek svůj má na jedlí.
There the sparrows will build their nests; and the house of the heron takes the lead amongst them.
18 Hory vysoké jsou kamsíků, skály útočiště králíků.
The high mountains are a refuge for the stags, [and] the rock for the rabbits.
19 Učinil měsíc k jistým časům, a slunce zná západ svůj.
He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knows his going down.
20 Uvodíš tmu, a bývá noc, v níž vybíhají všickni živočichové lesní:
You did make darkness, and it was night; in it all the wild beasts of the forest will be abroad:
21 Lvíčata řvoucí po loupeži, aby hledali od Boha silného pokrmu svého.
[even] young lions roaring for prey, and to seek meat for themselves from God.
22 Když slunce vychází, zase shromažďují se, a v doupatech svých se ukládají.
The sun arises, and they shall be gathered together, and shall lie down in their dens.
23 Člověk vychází ku práci své, a k dílu svému až do večera.
Man shall go forth to his work, and to his labour till evening.
24 Jak mnozí a velicí jsou skutkové tvoji, Hospodine! Všeckys je moudře učinil, plná jest země bohatství tvého.
How great are your works, O Lord! in wisdom have you wrought them all: the earth is filled with your creation.
25 V moři pak velikém a přeširokém, tamť jsou hmyzové nesčíslní, a živočichové malí i velicí.
[So is] this great and wide sea: there are things creeping innumerable, small animals and great.
26 Tuť bárky přecházejí i velryb, kteréhož jsi stvořil, aby v něm hrál.
There go the ships; [and] this dragon whom you have made to play in it.
27 Všecko to na tě očekává, abys jim dával pokrm časem svým.
All wait upon you, to give them [their] food in due season.
28 Když jim dáváš, sbírají; když otvíráš ruku svou, nasyceni bývají dobrými věcmi.
When you have given [it] them, they will gather [it]; and when you have opened your hand, they shall all be filled with good.
29 Když skrýváš tvář svou, rmoutí se; když odjímáš ducha jejich, hynou, a v prach svůj se navracejí.
But when you have turned away your face, they shall be troubled: you will take away their breath, and they shall fail, and return to their dust.
30 Vysíláš ducha svého, a zase stvořeni bývají, a obnovuješ tvář země.
You shall send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created; and you shall renew the face of the earth.
31 Budiž sláva Hospodinova na věky, rozveselujž se Hospodin v skutcích svých.
Let the glory of the Lord be for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works;
32 On když pohledí na zemi, anať se třese; když se dotkne hor, anť se kouří.
who looks upon the earth, and makes it tremble; who touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33 Zpívati budu Hospodinu, dokudž jsem živ; žalmy Bohu svému zpívati budu, pokudž mne stává.
I will sing to the Lord while I live; I will sing praise to my God while I exist.
34 Libé bude přemyšlování mé o něm, jáť rozveselím se v Hospodinu.
Let my meditation be sweet to him: and I will rejoice in the Lord.
35 Ó by hříšníci vyhynuli z země, a bezbožných aby již nebylo. Dobrořeč duše má Hospodinu. Halelujah.
Let the sinners fail from off the earth, and transgressors, so that they shall be no more. Bless the Lord, O my soul.
