Matouš 28
1 Na skonání pak soboty, když již svitalo na první den toho téhodne, přišla Maria Magdaléna, a druhá Maria, aby pohleděly na hrob.
Now after [the] Sabbaths, it being dawn, toward the first [day] of the weeks, Mary the Magdalene came, and the other Mary, to see the grave,
2 A aj, země třesení stalo se veliké. Nebo anděl Páně sstoupiv s nebe a přistoupiv, odvalil kámen ode dveří, a posadil se na něm.
and behold, there came a great earthquake, for a messenger of the LORD, having come down out of Heaven, having come, rolled away the stone from the door, and was sitting on it,
3 A byl oblíčej jeho jako blesk, a roucho jeho bílé jako sníh.
and his countenance was as lightning, and his clothing white as snow,
4 A pro strach jeho zděsili se strážní, a učiněni jsou jako mrtví.
and from the fear of him the keepers shook, and they became as dead men.
5 I odpověděv anděl, řekl ženám: Nebojte se vy, neboť vím, že Ježíše ukřižovaného hledáte.
And the messenger answering said to the women, “Do not fear, for I have known that you seek Jesus who has been crucified;
6 Neníť ho tuto; nebo vstalť jest, jakož předpověděl. Poďte, vizte místo, kdež ležel Pán.
He is not here, for He rose, as He said; come, see the place where the LORD was lying;
7 A rychle jdouce, povězte učedlníkům jeho, že vstal z mrtvých. A aj, předchází vás do Galilee, tam jej uzříte. Aj, pověděl jsem vám.
and having gone quickly, say to His disciples that He rose from the dead; and behold, He goes before you to Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”
8 I vyšedše rychle z hrobu s bázní a s radostí velikou, běžely, aby učedlníkům jeho zvěstovaly.
And having gone forth quickly from the tomb, with fear and great joy, they ran to tell His disciples;
9 Když pak šly zvěstovati učedlníkům jeho, aj, Ježíš potkal se s nimi, řka: Zdrávy buďte. A ony přistoupivše, chopily se noh jeho, a klaněly se jemu.
and as they were going to tell His disciples, then behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Greetings!” And having come near, they laid hold of His feet, and worshiped Him.
10 Tedy dí jim Ježíš: Nebojtež se. Jděte, zvěstujte bratřím mým, ať jdou do Galilee, a tamť mne uzří.
Then Jesus says to them, “Do not fear, go away, tell My brothers that they may go away to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”
11 Když pak ony odešly, aj, někteří z stráže přišedše do města, oznámili předním kněžím všecko, co se stalo.
And while they are going on, behold, certain of the guard having come into the city, reported to the chief priests all the things that happened,
12 Kteřížto shromáždivše se s staršími, a uradivše se, mnoho peněz dali žoldnéřům,
and having been gathered together with the elders, having also taken counsel, they gave much money to the soldiers,
13 Řkouce: pravte, že učedlníci jeho nočně přišedše, ukradli jej, když jsme my spali.
saying, “Say that His disciples having come by night, stole Him—we being asleep;
14 A uslyší-liť o tom hejtman, myť ho spokojíme, a vás bezpečny učiníme.
and if this is heard by the governor, we will persuade him, and you keep free from anxiety.”
15 A oni vzavše peníze, učinili, jakž naučeni byli. I rozhlášeno jest slovo to u Židů až do dnešního dne.
And they, having received the money, did as they were taught, and this account was spread abroad among Jews until this day.
16 Jedenácte pak učedlníků šli do Galilee na horu, kdež jim byl uložil Ježíš.
And the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus appointed them,
17 A uzřevše ho, klaněli se jemu. Ale někteří pochybovali.
and having seen Him, they worshiped Him, but some wavered.
18 A přistoupiv Ježíš, mluvil jim, řka: Dána jest mi všeliká moc na nebi i na zemi.
And having come near, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “All authority in Heaven and on earth was given to Me;
19 Protož jdouce, učte všecky národy, křtíce je ve jméno Otce i Syna i Ducha svatého,
having gone, then, disciple all the nations, immersing them into the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
