Matouš 27
1 A když bylo ráno, vešli v radu všickni přední kněží a starší lidu proti Ježíšovi, aby jej na smrt vydali.
When it was morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people have consulted against Jesus, how they might procure his death,
2 I svázavše jej, vedli, a vydali ho Pontskému Pilátovi hejtmanu.
conducted him bound to Pontius Pilate, the procurator, to whom they delivered him up.
3 Tedy vida Jidáš zrádce jeho, že by odsouzen byl, želeje toho, navrátil zase třidceti stříbrných předním kněžím a starším,
Then Judas, who had betrayed him, finding that he was condemned, repented; and returning the thirty shekels to the chief priests and the elders,
4 Řka: Zhřešil jsem, zradiv krev nevinnou. Oni pak řekli: Co nám do toho? Ty viz.
said, I have sinner, in that I have betrayed the innocent. They answered, What is that to us? See you to that.
5 A povrh ty stříbrné v chrámě, odšel pryč, a odšed, oběsil se.
After which, having thrown down the money in the temple, he went away, and strangled himself.
6 Přední kněží pak vzavše ty stříbrné, řekli: Neslušíť jich vložiti do pokladnice, nebo mzda krve jest.
The chief priests taking the money, said, It is not lawful to put it into the sacred treasury, because it is the price of blood.
7 A poradivše se, koupili za ně pole to hrnčířovo, ku pohřebu poutníků.
But, after deliberating, they bought with it the potter's field, to be a burying place for strangers,
8 Protož nazváno jest pole to pole krve, až do dnešního dne.
for which reason that field is, to this day, called, The Field of Blood.
9 A tehdy naplnilo se povědění proroka řkoucího: A vzali třidceti stříbrných, mzdu ceněného, kterýž šacován byl od synů Izraelských,
Then was the word of Jeremiah the Prophet verified, "The thirty shekels, the price at which he was valued, I took, as the Lord appointed me, from the sons of Israel,
10 A dali je za pole hrnčířovo, jakož mi ustanovil Pán.
who gave them for the potter's field.
11 Ježíš pak stál před vládařem. I otázal se ho vládař, řka: Ty-li jsi ten král Židovský? Ježíš pak řekl jemu: Ty pravíš.
Now Jesus appeared before the procurator, who questioned him, saying, You are the King of the Jews? He answered, You say right.
12 A když na něj přední kněží a starší žalovali, nic neodpověděl.
But when he was arraigned by the chief priests and the elders, he made no reply.
13 Tedy dí mu Pilát: Neslyšíš-li, kteraké věci proti tobě svědčí?
Then Pilate said to him, Do you not hear of how many crimes they accuse you?
14 Ale neodpověděl jemu ani k jednomu slovu, tak že se vládař velmi divil.
But he answered not one word, which surprised the procurator exceedingly.
15 Měl pak obyčej vládař v svátek propouštěti lidu vězně jednoho, kteréhož by chtěli.
Now the procurator was accustomed to release, at the festival, any one of the prisoners whom the multitude demanded.
16 I měli v ten čas vězně znamenitého, kterýž sloul Barabáš.
And they had then a famous prisoners named Barabbas.
17 Protož když se lidé sešli, řekl jim Pilát: Kterého chcete, ať vám propustím? Barabáše-li, čili Ježíše, kterýž slove Kristus?
Therefore. when they were assembled, Pilate said to them, Whom shall I release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus, who is called Messiah?
18 Nebo věděl, že jej z závisti vydali.
(For he perceived that through envy they had delivered him up;
19 A když seděl na soudné stolici, poslala k němu žena jeho, řkuci: Nic neměj činiti s spravedlivým tímto, nebo jsem mnoho trpěla dnes ve snách pro něho.
besides, while he was sitting on the tribunal, his wife sent him this message, Have nothing to do with this innocent person; for today, I have suffered much in a dream, on his account.)
20 Ale přední kněží a starší navedli lid, aby prosili za Barabáše, Ježíše pak aby zahubili.
But the chief priests and elders instigated the populace to demand Barabbas, and cause Jesus to be executed.
21 I odpověděv vládař, řekl jim: Kterého chcete z těch dvou, ať vám propustím? A oni řekli: Barabáše.
Therefore, when the procurator asked, which of the two he should release, they all answered, Barabbas.
22 Dí jim Pilát: Co pak učiním s Ježíšem, kterýž slove Kristus? Řekli mu všickni: Ukřižován buď.
Pilate replied, What then shall I do with Jesus, whom they call Messiah? They all answered, Let him be crucified.
23 Vládař pak řekl: I což jest zlého učinil? Oni pak více křičeli, řkouce: Ukřižován buď.
The procurator said, Why? What evil has he done? But they cried the louder, saying, Let him be crucified.
24 A vida Pilát, že by nic neprospěl, ale že by větší rozbroj byl, vzav vodu, umyl ruce před lidem, řka: Čist jsem od krve spravedlivého tohoto. Vy vizte.
Pilate perceiving that he was so far from prevailing, that they grew more tumultuous, took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am guiltless of the blood of this innocent person. See you to it.
25 A odpověděv všecken lid, řekl: Krev jeho na nás i na naše dítky.
And all the people answering, said, His blood be upon us, and upon your children.
26 Tedy propustil jim Barabáše, ale Ježíše zbičovav, vydal, aby byl ukřižován.
Then he released Barabbas to them, and having caused Jesus to be scourged, delivered him up to be crucified.
27 Tedy žoldnéři hejtmanovi, vzavše Ježíše do rathouzu, shromáždili k němu všecku rotu.
After this, the procurator's soldiers took Jesus into the pretorium, where they gathered around him all the band.
28 A svlékše jej, přioděli ho pláštěm brunátným.
And having stripped him, they robed him in a scarlet cloak,
29 A spletše korunu z trní, vstavili na hlavu jeho, a dali třtinu v pravou ruku jeho, a klekajíce před ním, posmívali se jemu, řkouce: Zdráv buď, ó králi Židovský.
and crowned him with a wreath of thorns, and put a rod in his right hand, and kneeling before him in mockery. cried, Hail, King of the Jews!
30 A plijíce na něho, brali tu třtinu a bili jej v hlavu.
And spitting upon him, they took the rod and struck him with it on the head.
31 A když se mu naposmívali, svlékli s něho plášť, a oblékli jej v roucho jeho. I vedli ho, aby byl ukřižován.
When they had mocked him, they disrobed him again, and having put his own raiment on him, led him away to crucify him.
32 A vyšedše, nalezli člověka Cyrenenského, jménem Šimona. Toho přinutili, aby nesl kříž jeho.
As they went out of the city, they met one Simon, a Cyrenian, whom they constrained to carry the cross;
33 I přišedše na místo, kteréž slove Golgota, to jest popravné místo,
and being arrived at a place called Golgotha, which signifies a Place of Skulls,
34 Dali mu píti octa, smíšeného se žlučí. A okusiv, nechtěl píti.
they gave him to drink, vinegar mixed with wormwood, which, having tasted, he would not drink.
35 Ukřižovavše pak jej, rozdělili roucha jeho, mecíce los, aby se naplnilo povědění proroka: Rozdělili sobě roucho mé, a o můj oděv metali los.
After they had nailed him to the cross, they parted his garments by lot.
36 A sedíce, ostříhali ho tu.
And having sat down there, they guarded him.
37 I vstavili nad hlavu jeho vinu jeho napsanou: Totoť jest Ježíš, ten král Židovský.
And over his head they placed this inscription, denoting the cause of his death: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
38 I ukřižováni jsou s ním dva lotři, jeden na pravici a druhý na levici.
Two robbers also were crucified with him, one at his right hand, and the other at his left.
39 Ti pak, kteříž chodili tudy, rouhali se jemu, ukřivujíce hlav svých.
Meanwhile the passengers reviled him, shaking their heads,
40 A říkajíce: Hej, ty jako rušíš chrám a ve třech dnech vzděláváš, pomoziž sám sobě. Jsi-li Syn Boží, sstupiž s kříže.
and saying, You who could demolish the temple, and rebuild it in three days; if you be God's Son, come down from the cross.
41 Tak podobně i přední kněží posmívajíce se s zákonníky a staršími, pravili:
The chief priests also, with the scribes and elders, deriding him, said,
42 Jiným pomáhal, sám sobě nemůž pomoci. Jestliže jest král Izraelský, nech ať nyní sstoupí s kříže, a uvěříme jemu.
He saved others: can he not save himself? If he be King of Israel, let him now descend from the cross, and we will believe him.
43 Doufalť v Boha, nech ať ho nyní vysvobodí, chce-liť mu; nebo pravil: Syn Boží jsem.
He trusted in God. Let God deliver him now, if he regard him; for he called himself God's Son.
44 Takž také i lotři, kteříž byli s ním ukřižováni, utrhali jemu.
The robbers too, his fellow-sufferers, upbraided him in the same manner.
45 Od šesté pak hodiny tma se stala po vší zemi až do hodiny deváté.
Now from the sixth hour to the ninth, the whole land was in darkness.
46 A při hodině deváté zvolal Ježíš hlasem velikým, řka: Eli, Eli, lama zabachtani? To jest: Bože můj, Bože můj, proč jsi mne opustil?
About the ninth hour, Jesus cried aloud, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabacthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
47 A někteří z těch, kteříž tu stáli, slyšíce, pravili: Eliáše volá tento.
Some of the bystanders hearing this, said, He calls Elijah.
48 A hned jeden z nich běžev, a vzav hubu, naplnil ji octem, a vloživ na tresť, napájel ho.
Instantly one of them ran, brought a sponge, and soaked it in vinegar, and having fastened it to a stick, presented it to him to drink.
49 Ale jiní pravili: Nech tak, pohledíme, přijde-li Eliáš, aby ho vysvobodil.
The rest said, Forbear, we shall see whether Elijah will come to save him.
50 Ježíš pak opět zvolav hlasem velikým, vypustil duši.
Jesus having again cried with a loud voice, resigned his spirit.
51 A aj, opona chrámová roztrhla se na dvé, od vrchu až dolů, a země se třásla, a skálé se pukalo,
And, behold, the vail of the temple was rent in two from top to bottom, the earth trembled, and the rocks split.
52 A hrobové se otvírali, a mnohá těla zesnulých svatých vstala.
Graves also burst open; and after his resurrection, the bodies of several saints who slept were raised,
53 A vyšedše z hrobů po vzkříšení jeho, přišli do svatého města, a ukázali se mnohým.
came out of the graves, went into the holy city, and were seen by many.
54 Tedy centurio a ti, kteříž s ním ostříhali Ježíše, vidouce země třesení a to, co se dálo, báli se velmi, řkouce: Jistě Syn Boží byl tento.
Now the centurion, and they who, with him, guarded Jesus, observing the earthquake, and what passed, were exceedingly terrified, and said, This was certainly the son of a god.
55 Byly také tu ženy mnohé, z daleka se dívajíce, kteréž byly přišly za Ježíšem od Galilee, posluhujíce jemu,
Several women also were there, looking on at a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, assisting him with their service.
56 Mezi nimiž byla Maria Magdaléna, a Maria, matka Jakubova a Jozesova, a matka synů Zebedeových.
Among them were Mary the Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's sons.
57 A když byl večer, přišel člověk bohatý z Arimatie, jménem Jozef, kterýž také byl učedlník Ježíšův.
In the evening a rich Arimathean named Joseph, who was himself a disciple of Jesus,
58 Ten předstoupil před Piláta, a prosil za tělo Ježíšovo. Tedy Pilát rozkázal dáti tělo.
went to Pilate and begged the body of Jesus. Pilate having given orders to deliver it to Joseph,
59 A vzav tělo Jozef, obvinul je v plátno čisté.
he took the body, wrapped it in clean linen,
60 A vložil do svého nového hrobu, kterýž byl vytesal v skále; a přivaliv kámen veliký ke dveřům hrobovým, odšel.
and deposited it in his own tomb, which he had newly caused to be hewn in the rock; and having rolled a great stone to the entrance, he went away.
61 A byla tu Maria Magdaléna, a druhá Maria, sedíce naproti hrobu.
Now Mary the Magdalene, and the other Mary were there, sitting over against the sepulcher.
62 Druhého pak dne, kterýž byl po velikém pátku, sešli se přední kněží a farizeové ku Pilátovi,
On the morrow, being the day of preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees repaired in a body to Pilate,
63 Řkouce: Pane, rozpomenuli jsme se, že ten svůdce řekl, ještě živ jsa: Po třech dnech vstanu.
and said, My lord, we remember that this impostor, when alive, said, Within three days I shall be raised.
64 Rozkažiž tedy ostříhati hrobu až do třetího dne, ať by snad učedlníci jeho, přijdouce v noci, neukradli ho, a řekli by lidu: Vstalť jest z mrtvých. I budeť poslední blud horší nežli první.
Command, therefore, that the sepulcher be guarded till the third day, lest his disciples come and steal him, and say to the people, He is raised from the dead; for this last imposture would prove worse than the first.
65 Řekl jim Pilát: Máte stráž; jděte, ostříhejte, jakž víte.
Pilate answered, You have a guard; make the sepulcher as secure as you can.
66 A oni šedše, osadili hrob strážnými, zapečetivše kámen.
Accordingly they went and secured it, sealing the stone, and posting guards.
