Matouš 15
1 A v tom přistoupí k Ježíšovi Jeruzalémští zákonníci a farizeové, řkouce:
Then come to Jesus Pharisees and scribes from Jerusalem, saying,
2 Proč učedlníci tvoji přestupují ustanovení starších? Nebo neumývají rukou svých, když mají jísti chléb.
Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3 A on odpovídaje, řekl jim: Proč i vy přestupujete přikázaní Boží pro ustanovení svá?
But he answered and said to them, Why do ye too transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?
4 Nebo přikázal Bůh, řka: Cti otce svého i matku, a kdož by zlořečil otci neb mateři, smrtí ať umře.
For God commanded, saying, “Honor thy father and thy mother;” and, “He that curseth father or mother, let him surely die.”
5 Ale vy pravíte: Kdož by koli řekl otci neb mateři: Dar jest to, čímž by tobě ode mne pomoženo býti mohlo. A neuctil by otce svého neb mateře své.
But ye say, Whoever shall say to his father or his mother, Whatever thou mightst receive in aid from me is a gift [[to God]],
6 I zlehčili jste přikázaní Boží pro své ustanovení.
he shall not honor his father or his mother. Thus have ye made void the law of God for the sake of your tradition.
7 Pokrytci, dobře prorokoval o vás Izaiáš, řka:
Hypocrites! well did Isaiah prophesy concerning you, saying,
8 Přibližuje se ke mně lid tento ústy svými, a rty mne ctí, ale srdce jejich daleko jest ode mne.
“This people honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
9 Ale nadarmoť mne ctí, učíce učení přikázaní lidských.
But in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.”
10 A svolav zástup, řekl jim: Slyšte a rozumějte.
And calling the multitude, he said to them, Hear, and understand.
11 Ne to, což vchází v ústa, poškvrňuje člověka, ale což z úst pochází, toť poškvrňuje člověka.
Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
12 Tehdy přistoupivše učedlníci jeho, řekli mu: Víš-li, že farizeové, slyševše tu řeč, zhoršili se?
Then come the disciples, and say to him, Dost thou know that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard that saying?
13 A on odpovídaje, řekl: Všeliké štípení, jehož neštípil Otec můj ten nebeský, vykořeněno bude.
But he answered and said, Every plant which my heavenly Father did not plant will be rooted up.
14 Nechte jich, vůdcovéť jsou slepí slepých. Povede-liť pak slepý slepého, oba v jámu upadnou.
Let them alone; they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a ditch.
15 I odpověděv Petr, řekl jemu: Vylož nám to podobenství.
And Peter answering said to him, Explain to us that dark saying.
16 Ježíš pak řekl: Ještě i vy bez rozumu jste?
And he said, Are ye too still without discernment?
17 Nerozumíte-liž, že všecko, což v ústa vchází, do břicha jde, a vypouští se ven?
Do ye not understand, that whatever entereth the mouth goeth into the stomach, and is cast out into the drain?
18 Ale které věci z úst pocházejí, z srdce jdou, a tyť poškvrňují člověka.
But the things which proceed from the mouth come out of the heart; and these defile a man.
19 Z srdce zajisté vycházejí zlá myšlení, vraždy, cizoložstva, smilstva, krádeže, křivá svědectví, rouhání.
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false testimony, blasphemies.
20 Tyť jsou věci poškvrňující člověka. Ale neumytýma rukama jísti, toť nepoškvrňuje člověka.
These are the things which defile a man; but to eat with unwashed hands defileth not a man.
21 A vyšed odtud Ježíš, bral se do krajin Tyrských a Sidonských.
And Jesus, going from thence, withdrew to the parts of Tyre and Sidon.
22 A aj, žena Kananejská z končin těch vyšedši, volala, řkuci jemu: Smiluj se nade mnou, Pane, synu Davidův. Dceru mou hrozně trápí ďábelství.
And, lo! a woman of Canaan came out from those borders, and cried out, saying, Have compassion on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is grievously afflicted with a demon.
23 On pak neodpověděl jí slova. I přistoupivše učedlníci jeho, prosili ho, řkouce: Odbuď ji, neboť volá za námi.
But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying Send her away, for she is crying out after us.
24 On pak odpověděv, řekl: Nejsem poslán než k ovcem zahynulým z domu Izraelského.
But he answered and said, I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Ale ona přistoupivši, klaněla se jemu, řkuci: Pane, pomoz mi.
Then she came and fell down before him, saying, Lord, help me!
26 On pak odpověděv, řekl: Není slušné vzíti chléb dětem a vrci štěňatům.
But he answering said, It is not allowable to take the children's bread, and throw it to the little dogs.
27 A ona řekla: Takť jest, Pane. A však štěňátka jedí drobty, kteříž padají z stolů pánů jejich.
And she said, Yea, Lord; for the little dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from the table of their masters.
28 Tedy odpovídaje Ježíš, řekl jí: Ó ženo, veliká jest víra tvá. Staniž se tobě, jakž chceš. I uzdravena jest dcera její v tu hodinu.
Then Jesus answering said to her, O woman, great is thy faith; be it done to thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was cured from that hour.
29 A odšed odtud Ježíš, šel k moři Galilejskému, a vstoupiv na horu, posadil se tam.
And departing thence, Jesus came near the lake of Galilee; and going up the mountain, he sat down there.
30 I přišli k němu zástupové mnozí, majíce s sebou kulhavé, slepé, němé, polámané a jiné mnohé. I kladli je k nohám Ježíšovým, a on je uzdravoval,
And great multitudes came to him, having with them those who were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at his feet, and he healed them;
31 Tak že se zástupové divili, vidouce, ano němí mluví, polámaní zdraví jsou, kulhaví chodí, slepí vidí. I velebili Boha Izraelského.
so that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb speaking, the maimed sound, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they gave glory to the God of Israel.
32 Ježíš pak svolav učedlníky své, řekl: Líto mi zástupu. Nebo již tři dni trvají se mnou, a nemají, co by jedli; a propustiti jich lačných nechci, aby nezhynuli na cestě.
And Jesus having called his disciples to him, said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they have remained with me now three days, and have nothing to eat; and I am not willing to send them away fasting, lest they faint on the road.
33 I řkou mu učedlníci jeho: Kde bychom vzali tolik chleba na této poušti, abychom takový zástup nasytili?
And the disciples say to him, Whence should we have so many loaves in a wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
34 I řekl jim Ježíš: Kolik chlebů máte? A oni řkou: Sedm, a málo rybiček.
And Jesus saith to them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few small fishes.
35 I rozkázal zástupům, aby se posadili na zemi.
And bidding the multitude to lie down on the ground,
36 A vzav těch sedm chlebů a ty ryby, učiniv díky, lámal a dal učedlníkům svým, učedlníci pak zástupu.
he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and broke, and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.
37 I jedli všickni a nasyceni jsou. A sebrali, což zbylo drobtů, sedm košů plných.
And they all ate, and were filled; and they took up of the fragments that remained, seven baskets full.
38 Bylo pak těch, kteříž jedli, čtyři tisíce mužů, kromě žen a dětí.
And they who ate were four thousand men, besides children and women.
39 A rozpustiv zástupy, vstoupil na lodí. I přišel do krajiny Magdala.
Then he sent away the multitudes, and went on board the boat, and came into the borders of Magadan.
