1 A svolav dvanácte učedlníků svých, dal jim moc nad duchy nečistými, aby je vymítali, a aby uzdravovali všelikou nemoc, i všeliký neduh.
He called to himself his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness.
2 Dvanácti pak apoštolů jména jsou tato: První Šimon, kterýž slove Petr, a Ondřej bratr jeho, Jakub Zebedeův a Jan bratr jeho,
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these. The first, Simeon [Hearing], who is called Peter [Rock]; Andrew [Manly], his brother; James son of Zebedee [Surplanter son of Yah Has Bestowed]; John [Yah is gracious], his brother;
3 Filip a Bartoloměj, Tomáš a Matouš, kterýž býval celný, Jakub Alfeův a Lebbeus, přijmím Taddeus,
Philip [Loves horses]; Bartholomew [Son who suspends waters]; Thomas [Seeker of truth]; Matthew [Gift of Yah] the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus [Surplanter son-of Changing]; Lebbaeus [Child of courage], who was also called Thaddaeus [Child of heart];
4 Šimon Kananitský, a Jidáš Iškariotský, kterýž i zradil ho.
Simeon [Hearing] the Canaanite [Descendant of Humbled]; and Judas Iscariot [Praised Dagger-man], who also betrayed him.
5 Těchto dvanácte poslal Ježíš, přikazuje jim, řka: Na cestu pohanů nechoďte, a do města Samaritánských nevcházejte.
Yeshua [Salvation] sent these twelve out, and commanded them, saying, “Don’t go among the Gentiles, and don’t enter into any city of the Samaritans [people from Watch-mountain].
6 Ale raději jděte k ovcem zahynulým z domu Izraelského.
Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel [God prevails].
7 Jdouce pak, kažte, řkouce: Že se přiblížilo království nebeské.
As you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven (God) is at hand!’
8 Nemocné uzdravujte, malomocné čisťte, mrtvé křeste, ďábelství vymítejte; darmo jste vzali, darmo dejte.
Heal the sick, cleanse the people afflicted with tzara'at ·leprosy·, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.
9 Nebeřte s sebou zlata, ani stříbra, ani peněz do opasků svých,
Don’t take any gold, silver, or brass in your money belts.
10 Ani mošny na cestu, ani dvou sukní, ani obuvi, ani hůlky; hodenť jest zajisté dělník pokrmu svého.
Take no bag for your journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.
11 A do kteréhožkoli města neb městečka vešli byste, vzeptejte se, kdo by v něm hodný byl, a tu pobuďte, až i vyjdete.
Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy; and stay there until you go on.
12 A vcházejíce do domu, pozdravte ho.
As you enter into the household, say “Shalom aleikhem! ·Complete peace my family·!
13 A jestliže bude dům ten hodný, pokoj váš přijdiž naň; pakli by nebyl hodný, pokoj váš navratiž se k vám.
If the household deserves it, let your shalom ·complete peace· come on it, but if it is not, let your shalom ·complete peace· make teshuvah ·complete return· to you.
14 A kdožkoli nepřijal by vás, a neuposlechl by řečí vašich, vyjdouce ven z domu neb z města toho, vyrazte prach z noh svých.
Whoever does not receive you, nor hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet.
15 Amen pravím vám: Lehčeji bude zemi Sodomských a Gomorských v den soudný nežli městu tomu.
Most certainly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom [Burning] and Gomorrah [Rebellious people, Tyrants] in the day of judgment than for that city.
16 Aj, já posílám vás jako ovce mezi vlky; protož buďte opatrní jako hadové, a sprostní jako holubice.
“Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
17 Vystříhejte se pak lidí; neboť vás vydávati budou do sněmů, a v shromážděních svých budou vás bičovati.
But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you.
18 Ano i před vládaře i před krále vedeni budete pro mne, na svědectví proti nim, i národům.
Yes, and you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.
19 Když pak vás vydadí, nebuďtež pečliví, kterak aneb co byste mluvili; dánoť bude zajisté vám v tu hodinu, co budete míti mluviti.
But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say.
20 Nebo ne vy jste, kteříž mluvíte, ale Duch Otce vašeho, kterýž mluví v vás.
For it is not you who speak, but haRuach [the Spirit] of 'Avikah ·your Father· who speaks in you.
21 Vydáť pak bratr bratra na smrt, i otec syna, a povstanouť dítky proti rodičům, a zmordují je.
“Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.
22 A budete v nenávisti všechněm pro jméno mé, ale kdož setrvá až do konce, tenť spasen bude.
You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
23 Když se pak vám budou protiviti v tom městě, utecte do jiného. Amen zajisté pravím vám, nezchodíte měst Izraelských, až přijde Syn člověka.
But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel [God prevails], until the Son of Man has come.
24 Neníť učedlník nad mistra, ani služebník nad pána svého.
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.
25 Dostiť jest učedlníku, aby byl jako mistr jeho, a služebník jako pán jeho. Poněvadž hospodáře Belzebubem nazývali, čím pak více domácí jeho?
It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Ba'al-Zibbul [Lord of Flies], how much more those of his household!
26 Protož nebojte se jich; nebo není nic skrytého, což by nemělo býti zjeveno, ani tajného, ješto by nemělo zvědíno býti.
Therefore don’t be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hidden that will not be known.
27 Což vám pravím ve tmách, pravte na světle, a co v uši slyšíte, hlásejte na domích.
What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
28 A nebojte se těch, kteříž mordují tělo, ale duše nemohou zamordovati; než raději se bojte toho, kterýž může i duši i tělo zatratiti v pekelném ohni. (Geenna g1067)
Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna (Place of fiery torment for the dead). (Geenna g1067)
29 Zdaliž nebývají prodáváni dva vrabečkové za penízek? A však jeden z nich nepadá na zem bez Otce vašeho.
“Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion coin (a trivial cost)? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from 'Avikah ·your Father·’s will,
30 Vaši pak i vlasové na hlavě všickni sečteni jsou.
but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Protož nebojte se, dražší jste vy nežli mnoho vrabců.
Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
32 Kdožkoli tedy vyzná mne před lidmi, vyznámť i já jej před Otcem svým, kterýž jest v nebesích.
Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, him I will also confess before 'Avi shebashamayim ·my Father in Heaven·.
33 Kdož by pak mne zapřel před lidmi, zapřímť ho i já před Otcem svým, kterýž jest v nebesích.
But whoever denies me before men, him I will also deny before 'Avi shebashamayim ·my Father in Heaven·.
34 Nedomnívejte se, že bych přišel pokoj dáti na zemi. Nepřišelť jsem, abych pokoj uvedl, ale meč.
“Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword.
35 Přišel jsem zajisté, abych rozdělil člověka proti otci jeho, a dceru proti mateři její, a nevěstu proti svegruši její.
For I came to set a son at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
36 A nepřátelé člověka domácí jeho.
A man’s foes will be those of his own household.
37 Kdo miluje otce neb matku více nežli mne, neníť mne hoden; a kdož miluje syna neb dceru více nežli mne, neníť mne hoden.
He who phileo ·affectionately loves, has high regard, approval of· father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who phileo ·affectionately loves, has high regard, approval of· son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 A kdož nebéře kříže svého a nenásleduje mne, neníť mne hoden.
He who does not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.
39 Kdo nalezne duši svou, ztratíť ji; a kdo by ztratil duši svou pro mne, nalezneť ji.
He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
40 Kdo vás přijímá, mne přijímá; a kdo mne přijímá, přijímá toho, kterýž mne poslal.
He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.
41 Kdo přijímá proroka ve jménu proroka, odplatu proroka vezme; a kdož přijímá spravedlivého ve jménu spravedlivého, odplatu spravedlivého vezme.
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. He who receives a upright man in the name of a upright man will receive a upright man’s reward.
42 A kdož by koli dal jednomu z těchto maličkých toliko číši vody studené k nápoji ve jménu učedlníka, zajisté pravím vám, neztratíť odplaty své.
Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward.”
