Lukáš 1
1 Poněvadž mnozí usilovali sepsati pořádně vypravování těch věcí, kteréž u nás jisté jsou,
Seeing that many took in hand to set in order a narration of the matters that have been fully assured among us,
2 Jakž nám vydali ti, kteříž od počátku sami viděli, a služebníci toho Slova byli:
as they delivered to us, who from the beginning became eyewitnesses, and officers of the word,
3 Vidělo se i mně, kterýž jsem toho všeho pravé povědomosti z gruntu bedlivě došel, tobě o tom pořádně vypsati, výborný Teofile,
it seemed good also to me, having followed from the first after all things exactly, to write to you in order, most noble Theophilus,
4 Abys zvěděl jistotu těch věcí, jimž jsi vyučován.
that you may know the certainty of the things wherein you were instructed.
5 Byl za dnů Heródesa krále Judského kněz nějaký, jménem Zachariáš, z třídy Abiášovy, a manželka jeho ze dcer Aronových, a jméno její Alžběta.
There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest, by name Zacharias, of the division of Abijah, and his wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name Elizabeth;
6 Byli pak oba spravedliví před oblíčejem Božím, chodíce ve všech přikázaních a spravedlnostech Páně bez ouhony.
and they were both righteous before God, going on in all the commands and righteousnesses of the LORD blameless,
7 A neměli plodu, proto že Alžběta byla neplodná, a oba se byli zstarali ve dnech svých.
and they had no child, because that Elizabeth was barren, and both were advanced in their days.
8 I stalo se, když on úřad kněžský konal v pořádku třídy své před Bohem,
And it came to pass, in his acting as priest, in the order of his division before God,
9 Že vedlé obyčeje úřadu kněžského los naň přišel, aby položil zápal, vejda do chrámu Páně.
according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot was to make incense, having gone into the temple of the LORD,
10 A všecko množství lidu bylo vně, modlíce se v hodinu zápalu.
and all the multitude of the people were praying outside, at the hour of the incense.
11 Tedy ukázal se jemu anděl Páně, stoje na pravé straně oltáře zápalu.
And there appeared to him a messenger of the LORD standing on the right side of the altar of the incense,
12 A uzřev jej Zachariáš, zstrašil se, a bázeň připadla na něj.
and Zacharias, having seen, was troubled, and fear fell on him;
13 I řekl jemu anděl: Neboj se, Zachariáši, neboť jest uslyšána modlitba tvá, a Alžběta manželka tvá porodí tobě syna, a nazůveš jméno jeho Jan.
and the messenger said to him, “Do not fear, Zacharias, for your supplication was heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear a son to you, and you will call his name John,
14 Z čehož budeš míti radost a veselé, a mnozí se z jeho narození budou radovati.
and there will be joy to you, and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth,
15 Bude zajisté veliký před oblíčejem Páně, a vína i nápoje opojného nebude píti, a Duchem svatým bude naplněn hned od života matky své.
for he will be great before the LORD, and wine and strong drink he may not drink, and he will be full of the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb;
16 A mnohé z synů Izraelských obrátí ku Pánu Bohu jejich.
and he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the LORD their God,
17 Neboť on předejde před oblíčejem jeho v duchu a v moci Eliášově, aby obrátil srdce otců k synům, a nevěřící k opatrnosti spravedlivých, aby postavil Pánu lid hotový.
and he will go before Him, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn hearts of fathers to children, and disobedient ones to the wisdom of righteous ones, to make ready for the LORD, a people prepared.”
18 I řekl Zachariáš andělu: Po čemž to poznám? Nebo já starý jsem, a manželka má zstarala se ve dnech svých.
And Zacharias said to the messenger, “Whereby will I know this? For I am aged, and my wife is advanced in her days?”
19 I odpověděv anděl, řekl jemu: Jáť jsem Gabriel, kterýž stojím před oblíčejem Božím, a poslán jsem, abych mluvil s tebou, a tyto věci veselé tobě zvěstoval.
And the messenger answering said to him, “I am Gabriel, who has been standing near before God, and I was sent to speak to you, and to proclaim this good news to you,
20 A aj, budeš němý, a nebudeš moci mluviti až do dne, v kterémž se tyto věci stanou, proto že jsi neuvěřil řečem mým, kteréž se naplní časem svým.
and behold, you will be silent, and not able to speak, until the day that these things will come to pass, because you did not believe my words that will be fulfilled in their season.”
21 Lid pak očekával Zachariáše, a divili se, že on tak prodléval v chrámě.
And the people were waiting for Zacharias, and wondering at his lingering in the temple,
22 Vyšed pak, nemohl mluviti k nim. I srozuměli, že vidění viděl v chrámě. Nebo on návěští jim dával, a zůstal němý.
and having come out, he was not able to speak to them, and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple, and he was beckoning to them, and remained mute.
23 I stalo se, když se vyplnili dnové konání úřadu jeho, odšel do domu svého.
And it came to pass, when the days of his service were fulfilled, he went away to his house,
24 A po těch dnech počala Alžběta manželka jeho, a tajila se za pět měsíců, řkuci:
and after those days, his wife Elizabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,
25 Že tak mi učinil Pán ve dnech, v nichž vzezřel, aby odjal mé pohanění mezi lidmi.
“Thus the LORD has done to me, in days in which He looked on [me], to take away my reproach among men.”
26 V měsíci pak šestém poslán jest anděl Gabriel od Boha do města Galilejského, kterémuž jméno Nazarét,
And in the sixth month the messenger Gabriel was sent by God, to a city of Galilee, the name of which [is] Nazareth,
27 Ku panně zasnoubené muži, kterémuž jméno bylo Jozef, z domu Davidova, a jméno panny Maria.
to a virgin, betrothed to a man, whose name [is] Joseph, of the house of David, and the name of the virgin [is] Mary.
28 I všed k ní anděl, dí: Zdráva buď milostí obdařená, Pán s tebou, požehnaná ty mezi ženami.
And the messenger having come in to her, said, “Greetings, favored one, the LORD [is] with you; blessed [are] you among women”;
29 Ona pak uzřevši ho, zarmoutila se nad řečí jeho, a myslila, jaké by to bylo pozdravení.
and she, having seen, was troubled at his word, and was reasoning of what kind this salutation may be.
30 I řekl jí anděl: Neboj se, Maria, nebo jsi nalezla milost u Boha.
And the messenger said to her, “Do not fear, Mary, for you have found favor with God;
31 A počneš v životě, a porodíš syna, a nazůveš jméno jeho Ježíš.
and behold, you will conceive in the womb, and will bring forth a Son, and call His Name Jesus;
32 Tenť bude veliký, a Syn Nejvyššího slouti bude, a dáť jemu Pán Bůh stolici Davida otce jeho.
He will be great, and He will be called Son of the Highest, and the LORD God will give Him the throne of His father David,
and He will reign over the house of Jacob for all ages; and of His kingdom there will be no end.” (aiōn g165)
34 I řekla Maria andělu: Kterak se to stane, poněvadž já muže nepoznávám?
And Mary said to the messenger, “How will this be, seeing I do not know a husband?”
35 A odpověděv anděl, řekl jí: Duch svatý sstoupí v tě, a moc Nejvyššího zastíní tobě; a protož i to, což se z tebe svatého narodí, slouti bude Syn Boží.
And the messenger answering said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you, therefore also the holy-begotten thing will be called Son of God;
36 A aj, Alžběta, přítelkyně tvá, i ona počala syna v starosti své, a tento jest jí šestý měsíc, kteráž sloula neplodná.
and behold, Elizabeth, your relative, she also has conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month to her who was called barren;
37 Neboť nebude nemožné u Boha žádné slovo.
because nothing will be impossible with God.”
38 I řekla Maria: Aj, děvka Páně, staniž mi se podlé slova tvého. I odšel od ní anděl.
And Mary said, “Behold, the maidservant of the LORD; let it be to me according to your saying,” and the messenger went away from her.
39 Tedy povstavši Maria v těch dnech, odešla na hory s chvátáním do města Judova.
And Mary having arisen in those days, went into the hill-country, with haste, to a city of Judea,
40 I vešla do domu Zachariášova, a pozdravila Alžběty.
and entered into the house of Zacharias, and greeted Elizabeth.
41 I stalo se, jakž uslyšela Alžběta pozdravení Marie, zplésalo nemluvňátko v životě jejím, a naplněna jest Duchem svatým Alžběta.
And it came to pass, when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the baby leapt in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit,
42 I zvolala hlasem velikým a řekla: Požehnaná ty mezi ženami, a požehnaný plod života tvého.
and spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed [are] you among women, and blessed [is] the Fruit of your womb;
43 A odkud mi to, aby přišla matka Pána mého ke mně?
and from where [is] this to me, that the mother of my Lord might come to me?
44 Nebo aj, jakž se stal hlas pozdravení tvého v uších mých, zplésalo radostně nemluvňátko v životě mém.
For behold, when the voice of your salutation came to my ears, the baby in my womb leapt in gladness;
45 A blahoslavená, kteráž uvěřila, neboť dokonány budou ty věci, kteréž jsou povědíny jí ode Pána.
and blessed [is] she who believed, for there will be a completion to the things spoken to her from the LORD.”
46 Tedy řekla Maria: Velebí duše má Hospodina,
And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the LORD,
47 A veselí se duch můj v Bohu, spasiteli svém,
And my spirit was glad on God my Savior,
48 Že vzezřel na ponížení děvky své; neb aj, od této chvíle blahoslaviti mne budou všickni národové.
Because He looked on the lowliness of His maidservant, For behold, from now on all the generations will call me blessed,
49 Neboť mi učinil veliké věci ten, kterýž mocný jest, a svaté jméno jeho,
For He who is mighty did great things to me, And holy [is] His Name,
50 A jehož milosrdenství od pokolení až do pokolení bojícím se jeho.
And His kindness [is] to generations of generations, To those fearing Him;
51 Dokázal moci ramenem svým, rozptýlil pyšné myšlením srdce jejich.
He did powerfully with His arm, He scattered abroad the proud in the thought of their heart,
52 Sházel mocné s stolic, a povýšil ponížených.
He brought down the mighty from thrones, And He exalted the lowly,
53 Lačné nakrmil dobrými věcmi, a bohaté pustil prázdné.
He filled the hungry with good, And the rich He sent away empty;
54 Přijal Izraele, služebníka svého, byv pamětliv na milosrdenství,
He has taken hold of His servant Israel, To remember kindness,
As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and to his seed—throughout the age.” (aiōn g165)
56 I zůstala Maria s ní asi za tři měsíce, a navrátila se do domu svého.
And Mary remained with her about three months, and turned back to her house.
57 Alžbětě pak naplnil se čas, aby porodila, i porodila syna.
And to Elizabeth was the time fulfilled for her bringing forth, and she bore a son,
58 A uslyšeli sousedé a přátelé její, že Hospodin veliké učinil s ní milosrdenství své, i radovali se spolu s ní.
and the neighbors and her relatives heard that the LORD was making His kindness great with her, and they were rejoicing with her.
59 Stalo se pak v den osmý, přišli obřezovati dítěte, a nazývali jej jménem otce jeho Zachariášem.
And it came to pass, on the eighth day, they came to circumcise the child, and they were calling him by the name of his father, Zacharias,
60 Ale odpověděvši matka jeho, řekla: Nikoli, ale slouti bude Jan.
and his mother answering said, “No, but he will be called John.”
61 I řekli jí: Však žádného není v rodu tvém, kterýž by sloul jménem tím.
And they said to her, “There is none among your relatives who is called by this name,”
62 I dávali návěští otci jeho, jak by ho chtěl nazývati.
and they were making signs to his father, what he would wish him to be called,
63 A on požádav deštičky, napsal, řka: Jan jest jméno jeho. I divili se všickni.
and having asked for a tablet, he wrote, saying, “John is his name”; and they all wondered;
64 A hned otevřela se ústa jeho a jazyk jeho, i mluvil, velebě Boha.
and his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue, and he was speaking, praising God.
65 Tedy přišla bázeň na všecky sousedy jejich, a po všech horách Judských rozhlásána jsou všecka ta slova.
And fear came on all those dwelling around them, and in all the hill-country of Judea were all these sayings spoken of,
66 A všickni, kteříž o tom slyšeli, skládali to v srdci svém, řkouce: I jaké dítě toto bude? A ruka Páně byla s ním.
and all who heard laid them up in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child be?” And the hand of the LORD was with him.
67 Zachariáš pak otec jeho naplněn jest Duchem svatým, a prorokoval, řka:
And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying,
68 Požehnaný Pán Bůh Izraelský, že navštívil a učinil vykoupení lidu svému.
“Blessed [is] the LORD, the God of Israel, Because He looked on, And worked redemption for His people,
69 A vyzdvihl nám roh spasení v domě Davida, služebníka svého,
And raised a horn of salvation to us, In the house of His servant David,
As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, Which have been from the age; (aiōn g165)
71 O vysvobození z nepřátel našich, a z ruky všech, kteříž nás nenáviděli,
Salvation from our enemies, And out of the hand of all hating us,
72 Aby učinil milosrdenství s otci našimi, a rozpomenul se na smlouvu svou svatou,
To do kindness with our fathers, And to be mindful of His holy covenant,
73 Na přísahu, kterouž přisáhl Abrahamovi, otci našemu, žeť nám to dá,
An oath that He swore to Abraham our father,
74 Abychom bez strachu, z ruky nepřátel svých jsouce vysvobozeni, sloužili jemu,
To give to us, without fear, Having been delivered out of the hand of our enemies,
75 V svatosti a v spravedlnosti před oblíčejem jeho, po všecky dny života svého.
To serve Him, in holiness and righteousness Before Him, all the days of our life.
76 Ty pak, dítě, prorokem Nejvyššího slouti budeš, nebo předejdeš před tváří Páně připravovati cesty jeho,
And you, child, Prophet of the Highest will you be called; For you will go before the face of the LORD, To prepare His ways.
77 Aby dáno bylo umění spasitelné lidu jeho na odpuštění hříchů jejich,
To give knowledge of salvation to His people In forgiveness of their sins,
78 Skrze střeva milosrdenství Boha našeho, v nichž navštívil nás, vyšed z výsosti,
Through the yearnings of our God, In which the rising from on high looked on us,
79 Aby se ukázal sedícím v temnostech a v stínu smrti, k spravení noh našich na cestu pokoje.
To give light to those sitting in darkness and death-shade, To guide our feet to a way of peace.”
80 Dítě pak rostlo, a posilovalo se v duchu, a bylo na poušti až do dne zjevení svého lidu Izraelskému.
And the child grew, and was strengthened in spirit, and he was in the deserts until the day of his showing to Israel.
