Lukáš 19
1 A všed, bral se přes Jericho.
Jesus entered and was passing through Jericho.
2 A aj, muž, jménem Zacheus, a ten byl hejtman nad celnými, a byl bohatý.
Behold, there was a man there named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich.
3 I žádostiv byl viděti Ježíše, kdo by byl; a nemohl pro zástup, nebo postavy malé byl.
He was trying to see who Jesus was, but could not see over the crowd, because he was small in height.
4 A předběh napřed, vstoupil na strom planého fíku, aby jej viděl; nebo tudy měl jíti.
So he ran on ahead of the people and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, because Jesus was about to pass that way.
5 A když přišel k tomu místu, pohleděv zhůru Ježíš, uzřel jej, i řekl jemu: Zachee, spěšně sstup dolů, nebo dnes v domu tvém musím zůstati.
When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down quickly, for today I must stay at your house.”
6 I sstoupil rychle, a přijal jej radostně.
So he hurried and came down and welcomed him joyfully.
7 A viděvše to všickni, reptali, řkouce: K člověku hříšnému se obrátil.
When everyone saw this, they all complained, saying, “He has gone in to visit a man who is a sinner.”
8 Stoje pak Zacheus, řekl Pánu: Aj, polovici statku svého, Pane, dávám chudým, a oklamal-li jsem v čem koho, navracuji to čtvernásob.
Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone of anything, I will restore four times the amount.”
9 I dí jemu Ježíš: Dnes spasení stalo se domu tomuto, proto že i on jest syn Abrahamův.
Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he too is a son of Abraham.
10 Nebo přišel Syn člověka, aby hledal a spasil, což bylo zahynulo.
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the people who are lost.”
11 Toho když oni poslouchali, promluvil k nim dále podobenství, proto že byl blízko od Jeruzaléma, a že se oni domnívali, že by se hned mělo zjeviti království Boží.
As they heard these things, he continued speaking and told a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and they thought that the kingdom of God was about to appear immediately.
12 I řekl: Člověk jeden rodu znamenitého odšel do daleké krajiny, aby přijal království, a zase se navrátil.
He said therefore, “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and then to return.
13 I povolav desíti služebníků svých, dal jim deset hřiven, a řekl jim: Kupčtež, dokudž nepřijdu.
He called ten of his servants, and gave them ten minas, and said to them, 'Conduct business until I come back.'
14 Měšťané pak jeho nenáviděli ho, a poslali poselství za ním, řkouce: Nechcemeť, aby tento kraloval nad námi.
But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, 'We will not have this man rule over us.'
15 I stalo se, když se navrátil, přijav království, že rozkázal zavolati těch svých služebníků, kterýmž byl dal peníze, aby zvěděl, jak kdo mnoho získal.
It happened when he came back again, having received the kingdom, he commanded the servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him, that he might know what profit they had made by doing business.
16 I přišel první, řka: Pane, hřivna tvá deset hřiven získala.
The first came before him, saying, 'Lord, your mina has made ten minas more.'
17 I řekl jemu: To dobře, služebníče dobrý. Že jsi nad málem byl věrný, mějž moc nad desíti městy.
The nobleman said to him, 'Well done, good servant. Because you were faithful in very little, you will have authority over ten cities.'
18 A druhý přišel, řka: Pane, hřivna tvá získala pět hřiven.
The second came, saying, 'Your mina, lord, has made five minas.'
19 I tomu řekl: I ty budiž nad pěti městy.
The nobleman said to him, 'You take charge over five cities.'
20 A jiný přišel, řka: Pane, aj, teď hřivna tvá, kterouž jsem měl složenou v šátku.
Another came, saying, 'Lord, here is your mina, which I kept safely in a cloth,
21 Nebo jsem se bál tebe, ješto jsi člověk přísný; béřeš, čeho jsi nepoložil, a žneš, čeho jsi nerozsíval.
for I was afraid of you, because you are a demanding person. You take up what you did not put in, and you reap what you did not sow.'
22 I řekl jemu: Z úst tvých soudím tebe, služebníče zlý. Věděl jsi, že jsem já člověk přísný, bera, což jsem nepoložil, a žna, čehož jsem nerozsíval.
The nobleman said to him, 'By your own words I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I am a demanding person, that I take up what I did not put in, and that I reaped what I did not sow.
23 I proč jsi tedy nedal peněz mých na stůl, a já přijda, byl bych je vzal i s užitky.
Then why did you not put my money in the bank, so that when I returned I would have collected it with interest?'
24 I řekl těm, kteříž tu stáli: Vezměte od něho tu hřivnu, a dejte tomu, kterýž má deset hřiven.
The nobleman said to them that stood by, 'Take away from him the mina, and give it to him that has the ten minas.'
25 I řekli jemu: Pane, máť deset hřiven.
They said to him, 'Lord, he has ten minas.'
26 Jistě pravím vám: Že každému, kdož má, bude dáno, ale od toho, kterýž nemá, i to, což má, bude odjato.
'I say to you, that everyone who has will be given more, but from him that has not, even that which he has will be taken away.
27 Ty pak nepřátely mé, kteříž nechtěli, abych nad nimi kraloval, přiveďte sem, a zmordujte přede mnou.
But these enemies of mine, those who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and kill them before me.'”
28 To pověděv, šel napřed, vstupuje k Jeruzalému.
When he had said these things, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
29 I stalo se, když se přiblížil k Betfagi a k Betany, k hoře, kteráž slove Olivetská, poslal dva učedlníky své,
It came about that when he came near to Bethphage and Bethany, to the hill that is called Olivet, he sent two of the disciples,
30 Řka: Jděte do městečka, kteréž proti vám jest. Do kteréhož vejdouce, naleznete oslátko přivázané, na němž nikdy žádný z lidí neseděl. Odvěžtež je, a přiveďte ke mně.
saying, “Go into the next village. As you enter, you will find a colt that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it to me.
31 A optal-liť by se vás kdo, proč odvazujete, tak díte jemu: Proto že Pán ho potřebuje.
If anyone asks you, 'Why are you untying it?' say, 'The Lord has need of it.'”
32 Tedy odšedše ti, kteříž byli posláni, nalezli, jakž jim byl pověděl.
Those who were sent went and found the colt just as Jesus had told them.
33 A když odvazovali to oslátko, řekli páni jeho k nim: Proč odvazujete oslátko?
As they were untying the colt, the owners said to them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
34 A oni řekli: Pán ho potřebuje.
They said, “The Lord has need of it.”
35 I přivedli je k Ježíšovi, a vloživše roucha svá na to oslátko, vsadili na ně Ježíše.
They brought it to Jesus, and they threw their cloaks upon the colt and set Jesus on it.
36 A když on jel, stlali roucha svá na cestě.
As he went, they spread their cloaks on the road.
37 Když se pak již přibližoval k místu tomu, kudyž scházejí s hory Olivetské, počalo všecko množství učedlníků radostně chváliti Boha hlasem velikým ze všech divů, kteréž byli viděli,
As he was now approaching the place where the Mount of Olives descends, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen,
38 Řkouce: Požehnaný král, kterýž se béře ve jménu Páně. Pokoj na nebi, a sláva na výsostech.
saying, “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
39 Ale někteří z farizeů, kteříž tu byli v zástupu, řekli jemu: Mistře, potresci učedlníků svých.
Some of the Pharisees in the multitude said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.”
40 I odpověděv, řekl jim: Pravímť vám: Budou-li tito mlčeti, kamení hned bude volati.
Jesus answered and said, “I tell you, if these were silent, the stones would cry out.”
41 A když se přiblížil, uzřev město, plakal nad ním,
When Jesus approached the city, he wept over it,
42 Řka: Ó kdybys poznalo i ty, a to aspoň v takový tento den tvůj, které by věci ku pokoji tobě byly, ale skrytoť jest to nyní před očima tvýma.
saying, “If only you had known in this day, even you, the things which bring you peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.
43 Nebo přijdou na tě dnové, obklíčí tě nepřátelé tvoji valem, a oblehnou tebe, a ssouží tě se všech stran.
For the days will come upon you when your enemies will build a barricade around you, and surround you, and press in on you from every side.
44 A s zemí srovnají tě, i syny tvé v tobě, a nenechajíť v tobě kamene na kameni, proto že jsi nepoznalo času navštívení svého.
They will strike you down to the ground and your children with you. They will not leave one stone upon another, because you did not recognize it when God was trying to save you.”
45 A všed do chrámu, počal vymítati prodavače a kupce z něho,
Jesus entered the temple and began to cast out those who were selling,
46 Řka jim: Psáno jest: Dům můj dům modlitby jest, vy jste jej pak učinili peleší lotrovskou.
saying to them, “It is written, 'My house will be a house of prayer,' but you have made it a den of robbers.”
47 I učil na každý den v chrámě. Přední pak kněží a zákonníci i přední v lidu hledali ho zahladiti.
So Jesus was teaching daily in the temple. The chief priests and the scribes and the leaders of the people wanted to kill him,
48 Ale nenalezli, co by učinili. Nebo všecken lid jej sobě liboval, poslouchaje ho.
but they could not find a way to do it, because all the people were listening to him intently.
