1 Já jsem ten vinný kmen pravý, a Otec můj vinař jest.
I, am the real vine, and, my Father, is, the husbandman.
2 Každou ratolest, kteráž ve mně nenese ovoce, odřezuje, a každou, kteráž nese ovoce, čistí, aby hojnější ovoce nesla.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, He taketh it away; and, every one that beareth, fruit, He pruneth it, that, more fruit, it may bear.
3 Již vy čisti jste pro řeč, kterouž jsem mluvil vám.
Already, ye, are, pure, because of the word which I have spoken unto you:
4 Zůstaňtež ve mně, a já v vás. Jakož ratolest nemůže nésti ovoce sama od sebe, nezůstala-li by při kmenu, takž ani vy, leč zůstanete ve mně.
Abide in me, and, I, in you. Just as, the branch, cannot be bearing fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, so, neither, ye, except, in me, ye abide.
5 Já jsem vinný kmen a vy ratolesti. Kdo zůstává ve mně, a já v něm, ten nese ovoce mnohé; nebo beze mne nic nemůžete učiniti.
I, am the vine: Ye, are the branches. He that abideth in me and, I, in him, the same, beareth much fruit; because, apart from me, ye can bring forth, nothing.
6 Nezůstal-li by kdo ve mně, vyvržen bude ven jako ratolest, a uschneť, a budouť sebrány, a na oheň uvrženy, a shoříť.
If one abide not me, he is cast out as the branch, and withered, and they gather them, —and, into fire, they cast them, and they are burned.
7 Zůstanete-li ve mně, a slova má zůstanou-liť v vás, což byste koli chtěli, proste, a staneť se vám.
If ye abide in me, and, my sayings, in you, abide, whatsoever ye may be desiring, ask! and it shall be brought to pass for you.
8 V tomť bývá oslaven Otec můj, když ovoce nesete hojné, a budete moji učedlníci.
Herein, was my Father glorified, that, much fruit, ye should bear, and become my disciples.
9 Jakož miloval mne Otec, i já miloval jsem vás. Zůstaňtež v milování mém.
Just as the Father loved me, I also, loved you: Abide ye in my love.
10 Budete-li zachovávati přikázaní má, zůstanete v mém milování, jakož i já přikázaní Otce svého zachoval jsem, i zůstávám v jeho milování.
If, my commandments, ye keep, ye shall abide in my love, —just as, I, the Father’s commandments, have kept, and abide in his love.
11 Toto mluvil jsem vám, aby radost má zůstávala v vás, a radost vaše byla plná.
These things, have I spoken unto you, that, my own joy, in you, may be, and, your joy, may be made full.
12 Totoť jest přikázaní mé, abyste se milovali vespolek, jako já miloval jsem vás.
This, is my own commandment, That ye be loving one another, just as I loved you.
13 Většího milování nad to žádný nemá, než aby duši svou položil za přátely své.
Greater love than this, hath, no one, That, his life, one should lay down in behalf of his friends.
14 Vy přátelé moji jste, učiníte-li to, což já přikazuji vám.
Ye, are, friends of mine, if ye be doing that which, I, am commanding you.
15 Nebudu vás více nazývati služebníky, nebo služebník neví, co by činil pán jeho. Ale vás jsem nazval přátely, nebo všecko, což jsem koli slyšel od Otce svého, oznámil jsem vám.
No longer, do I call you, servants, for, the servant, knoweth not what, his lord, is doing. But, you, I have called, friends, because, all things which I heard from my Father, made I known unto you.
16 Ne vy jste mne vyvolili, ale já jsem vás vyvolil, a postavil, abyste šli a ovoce přinesli, a ovoce vaše aby zůstalo, aby zač byste koli prosili Otce ve jménu mém, dal vám.
Not, ye, chose, me, but, I, chose you, and placed you, that ye should go your way and bear, fruit, —and, your fruit, should abide: that, whatsoever ye should ask the Father in my name, he might give unto you.
17 Toto přikazuji vám, abyste se milovali vespolek.
These things, I command you, That ye be loving one another.
18 Jestližeť vás svět nenávidí, víte, žeť mne prvé než vás v nenávisti měl.
If, the world, is hating, you, ye are getting to know that, me, before you, it hath hated.
19 Byste byli z světa, svět, což jest jeho, miloval by; že pak nejste z světa, ale já z světa vyvolil jsem vás, protož vás svět nenávidí.
If, of the world, ye had been, the world, of its own, had been fond; but, because, of the world, ye are not, on the contrary, I, chose you out of the world, therefore, the world, doth hate you.
20 Pamatujte na tu řeč, kterouž jsem já mluvil vám: Neníť služebník větší nežli pán jeho. Poněvadž se mně protivili, i vámť se protiviti budou; poněvadž řeči mé šetřili, i vaší šetřiti budou.
Remember the word which, I, spake unto you: A servant is not greater than his lord. If, me, they persecuted, you too, will they persecute, —If, my word, they kept, your own also, will they keep.
21 Ale toto všecko učiní vám pro jméno mé; nebo neznají toho, kterýž mne poslal.
But, all these things, will they do unto you, on account of my name, because they know not him that sent me.
22 Kdybych byl nepřišel, a nemluvil jim, hříchu by neměli; ale nyní výmluvy nemají z hříchu svého.
Had I not come and spoken unto them, Sin, had they none; but, now, have they no, excuse, for their sin.
23 Kdož mne nenávidí, i Otceť mého nenávidí.
He that hateth me, hateth, my Father also.
24 Bych byl skutků nečinil mezi nimi, jichž žádný jiný nečinil, hříchu by neměli; ale nyní i viděli, i nenáviděli i mne i Otce mého.
Had I not done among them, the works, which, no other, had done, sin, had they none; but, now, have they, both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 Ale aby se naplnila řeč, kteráž v zákoně jejich napsána jest: Že v nenávisti měli mne darmo.
But…that the word which, in their law, is written, might be fulfilled—They hated me without cause.
26 Když pak přijde ten Utěšitel, kteréhož já pošli vám od Otce, Duch pravdy, kterýž od Otce pochází, tenť svědectví vydávati bude o mně.
Whensoever the Advocate shall come, Whom, I, will send unto you from the Father, The Spirit of truth, which, from the Father, cometh forth, He, will bear witness concerning me;
27 Ano i vy svědectví vydávati budete, nebo od počátku se mnou jste.
And do, ye also, bear witness, because, from the beginning, ye are, with me,
