2 Tesalonickým 2
1 Prosímeť pak vás, bratří, skrze příští Pána našeho Jezukrista, a naše shromáždění v něj,
And we ask you, brothers, in regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together to Him,
2 Abyste se nedali rychle vyrážeti z mysli, ani kormoutiti, buď skrze ducha, buď skrze řeč, neb skrze list, jako od nás poslaný, jako by nastával den Kristův.
that you are not quickly shaken in mind, nor be troubled, neither through spirit, neither through word, neither through letters as through us, as that the Day of the LORD has arrived;
3 Nesvodiž vás žádný nižádným obyčejem. Neboť nenastane, leč až prvé přijde odstoupení, a zjeven bude ten člověk hřícha, syn zatracení,
do not let anyone deceive you in any way, because if the departure may not come first, the man of lawlessness may [not] be revealed—the son of destruction,
4 Protivící a povyšující se nade všecko, což slove Bůh, aneb čemuž se děje Božská čest, tak že se v chrámě Božím jako Bůh posadí, počínaje sobě, jako by byl Bůh.
who is opposing and is raising himself up above all called god or worshiped, so as for him to have sat down in the temple of God, proclaiming that he is God.
5 Nepomníte-liž, že ještě byv u vás, o tom jsem vám pravil?
Do you not remember that, yet being with you, I said these things to you?
6 A nyní co mešká, víte, totiž aby on zjeven byl časem svým.
And now, you have known what is restraining, for his being revealed in his own time,
7 Nebo již tajemství nepravosti působí, toliko až by ten, kterýž jej zdržuje nyní, z prostředku byl vyvržen.
for the secret of lawlessness already works, only the [One] now restraining [will do so] until He may come out of [the] midst,
8 A tehdážť zjeven bude ten bezbožník, kteréhož Pán zabije duchem úst svých, a zkazí zjevením jasné přítomnosti své,
and then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the LORD will consume with the Spirit of His mouth, and will nullify at the appearance of His coming,
9 Toho nešlechetníka, jehož příští jest podlé mocného díla satanova, se vší mocí a divy i zázraky lživými,
whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders,
10 A se všelikým podvodem nepravosti, v těch, kteříž hynou, proto že lásky pravdy nepřijali, aby spaseni byli.
and in all deceitfulness of the unrighteousness in those perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth for their being saved,
11 A protož pošle jim Bůh mocné dílo podvodů aby věřili lži,
and because of this God will send to them a working of delusion, for their believing the lie,
12 A aby odsouzeni byli všickni, kteříž neuvěřili pravdě, ale oblíbili sobě nepravost.
that they may be judged—all who did not believe the truth, but were well pleased in the unrighteousness.
13 Myť pak jsme povinni děkovati Bohu vždycky z vás, bratří Pánu milí, že vyvolil vás Bůh od počátku k spasení, v posvěcení Ducha, a u víře pravdy,
And we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brothers, beloved by the LORD, that God chose you from the beginning to salvation, in sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth,
14 K čemuž povolal vás skrze evangelium naše, k dojití slávy Pána našeho Jezukrista.
to which He called you through our good news, to the acquiring of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ;
15 A protož, bratří, stůjtež, a držtež se učení vydaného, jemuž jste se naučili, buď skrze řeč, buď skrze list náš.
so, then, brothers, stand fast, and hold the traditions that you were taught, whether through word, whether through our letter;
16 Ten pak náš Pán Ježíš Kristus, a Bůh i Otec náš, kterýž zamiloval nás, a dal potěšení věčné, a naději dobrou z milosti, (aiōnios g166)
and may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who loved us, and gave continuous comfort, and good hope in grace, (aiōnios g166)
17 Potěšujž srdcí vašich, a utvrdiž vás v každém slovu i skutku dobrém.
comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.
