1 Korintským 10
1 Nechciť pak, abyste nevěděli, bratří, že otcové naši všickni pod oním oblakem byli, a všickni moře přešli,
For I wish not ye should be ignorant, brethren, that, all our fathers, were, under the cloud, and, all, passed through the sea, —
2 A všickni v Mojžíše pokřtěni jsou v oblace a v moři,
And, all, immersed themselves into Moses, in the cloud, and in the sea;
3 A všickni týž pokrm duchovní jedli,
And, all, did eat [the same] spiritual food,
4 A všickni týž nápoj duchovní pili. Pili zajisté z duchovní skály, kteráž za nimi šla. Ta pak skála byl Kristus.
And, all, drank, the same spiritual drink, —for they continued to drink of the spiritual rock that followed them, and, the rock, was the Christ: —
5 Ale ne ve mnohých z nich zalíbilo se Bohu; nebo zhynuli na poušti.
Nevertheless, with the most of them, God, was not well-pleased, for they were strewed along in the desert.
6 Ty pak věci ku příkladu nám se staly, abychom nebyli žádostivi zlého, jako oni žádali.
But, in these things, they became, ensamples for us, to the end we should not be covetous of evil things, even as, they, also coveted;
7 Protož nebuďte modláři, jako někteří z nich, jakož psáno jest: Posadil se lid, aby jedl a pil, a vstali, aby hrali.
Neither become ye, idolaters, as some of them, —as it is written—The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to be making sport;
8 Aniž smilněme, jako někteří z nich smilnili, a padlo jich jeden den třímecítma tisíců.
Neither let us commit fornication, as, some of them, committed fornication, and there fell, in one day, three and twenty thousand;
9 Ani pokoušejme Krista, jako někteří z nich pokoušeli, a od hadů zhynuli.
Neither let us be putting the Lord to the test, as, some of them, put him to the test, and, by the serpents, were perishing;
10 Ani repcete, jako i někteří z nich reptali, a zhynuli od záhubce.
Neither be ye murmuring, even, as some of them, murmured, and perished by the destroyer.
11 Toto pak všecko u figůře dálo se jim, a napsáno jest k napomenutí našemu, kteříž jsme na konci světa. (aiōn g165)
But, these things, by way of type, were happening unto them, and were written with a view to our admonition, unto whom, the ends of the ages, have reached along. (aiōn g165)
12 A protož kdo se domnívá, že stojí, hlediž, aby nepadl.
So that, he that thinketh he is standing, let him take heed lest he fall.
13 Pokušení vás nezachvátilo, než lidské. Ale věrnýť jest Bůh, kterýž nedopustí vás pokoušeti nad vaši možnost, ale způsobíť s pokušením také i vysvobození, abyste mohli snésti.
Trial, hath not taken you, save such as man can bear; faithful, moreover is God, who will not suffer you to be tried above what ye are able, but will make, with the trial, also the way of escape, that ye may be able to hold out.
14 Protož, moji milí, utíkejtež modlářství.
Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry, —
15 Jakožto opatrným mluvím. Vy suďte, co pravím.
As, to prudent men, I speak, —judge, ye, what I say: —
16 Kalich dobrořečení, kterémuž dobrořečíme, zdaliž není společnost krve Kristovy? A chléb, kterýž lámeme, zdaliž není společnost těla Kristova?
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not, a sharing together of the blood of the Christ? The loaf which we break, is it not, a sharing together of the body of the Christ?
17 Poněvadž jeden chléb, jedno tělo mnozí jsme; všickni zajisté jednoho chleba účastni jsme.
Because, one loaf, one body, we, the many, are, for we, all, of the one loaf, partake.
18 Pohleďte na Izraele podlé těla. Zdaliž ti, kteříž jedí oběti, nejsou účastníci oltáře?
Be looking at Israel after the flesh: —are not, they who eat the sacrifices, joint partakers with the altar?
19 Což tedy dím? Že modla jest něco? Aneb že modlám obětované něco jest?
What, then, am I saying?—that, an idol-sacrifice, is anything? or that, an idol, is anything?
20 Anobrž což obětují pohané, ďáblům obětují, a ne Bohu. Nechtělť bych pak, abyste vy byli účastníci ďáblů.
On the contrary—that, the things which the nations sacrifice, unto demons, and not unto God, they sacrifice; and I wish not that ye should become, sharers together with the demons!
21 Nemůžete kalicha Páně píti i kalicha ďáblů; nemůžete účastníci býti stolu Páně i stolu ďáblů.
Ye cannot be drinking—a cup of the Lord, and a cup of demons; ye cannot be partaking of, a table of the Lord, and a table of demons.
22 Či k hněvu popouzíme Pána? Zdaž silnější jsme jeho?
Or are we to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we mightier than he?
23 Všecko mi sluší, ale ne všecko jest užitečné; všecko mi sluší, ale ne všecko vzdělává.
All things are allowable—but, not all things, are profitable, —all things are allowable—but, not all things, upbuild.
24 Žádný nehledej svých věcí, ale jeden každý toho, což jest bližního.
Let, no one, be seeking, what concerneth himself, but that which concerneth some one else.
25 Všecko, což se v masných krámích prodává, jezte, nic se nevyptávajíce pro svědomí.
Whatsoever, in the market, is sold, eat, —asking no question, for conscience sake;
26 Nebo Páněť jest země i plnost její.
For, unto the Lord, belongeth the earth, and the fullness thereof.
27 Pozval-liť by vás pak kdo z nevěřících, a chcete jíti, vše, cožkoli bylo by vám předloženo, jezte, nic se nevyptávajíce pro svědomí.
If one of them who believe not invite you, and ye are disposed to go, whatsoever is set before you, eat, —asking no question, for conscience sake.
28 Pakli by vám někdo řekl: Toto jest modlám obětované, nejezte pro toho, kdož oznámil, a pro svědomí. Páně zajisté jest země i plnost její.
But, if anyone should say unto you, —This, is, a holy sacrifice, do not eat, for that man’s sake who disclosed it, and for conscience sake: —
29 Svědomí pak pravím ne tvé, ale toho druhého. Nebo proč by měla svoboda má potupena býti od cizího svědomí?
But, conscience, I mean, not thine own, but the other’s, —for why is my freedom to be judged by another’s conscience?
30 A poněvadž já s díků činěním požívám, proč za bezbožného jmín býti mám pro to, z čehož já díky činím?
If, I, with gratitude, partake, why am I to be defamed, as to that for which, I, give thanks?
31 Protož buď že jíte, neb pijete, aneb cožkoli činíte, všecko k slávě Boží čiňte.
Whether, therefore, ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do, all things to the glory of God.
32 Bez úrazu buďte i Židům i Řekům i církvi Boží,
Give no occasion of stumbling—whether to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the assembly of God:
33 Jakož i já ve všem líbím se všechněm, nehledaje v tom svého užitku, ale mnohých, aby spaseni byli.
Even as, I also, in all things do please all, not seeking my own profit, but that of the many, that they may be saved.
