Psalmi 92
1 Psalam. Pjesma. Za dan subotnji. Dobro je slaviti Jahvu, pjevati imenu tvome, Svevišnji;
It is a good thing to yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai, to sing zahmar ·musical praise· to your name, Most High;
2 naviještati jutrom ljubav tvoju i noću vjernost tvoju,
to proclaim your chesed ·loving-kindness· in the morning, and your faithfulness every night,
3 uz harfu od deset žica i liru, s pjesmom uz citaru.
with the ten-stringed lute, with the harp, and with the lyre's solemn higgayon (meditation)
4 Obradovao si me djelima svojim, o Jahve, kličem zbog djela ruku tvojih.
For you, Adonai, have made me glad through your work. I will triumph in the works of your hands.
5 Kako su silna djela tvoja, o Jahve, i duboki naumi tvoji!
How great are your works, Adonai! Your thoughts are very deep.
6 Bezuman čovjek ne spoznaje, luđak ne shvaća.
A senseless man does not know, neither does a fool understand this:
7 Sve ako bi bezbošci nicali k'o trava i cvali svi što zlo čine, određeni su za vječnu propast;
though the wicked spring up as the grass, and all those who practice vain striving of iniquity flourish, they will be destroyed forever.
8 a ti, Jahve, dovijeka uzvišen ostaješ.
But you, Adonai, are on high forever more.
9 Doista, dušmani tvoji, o Jahve, tvoji će dušmani propasti; raspršit će se svi što čine zlo.
For, behold, your enemies, Adonai, for, behold, your enemies shall perish. All those who practice vain striving of iniquity will be scattered.
10 Rog si mi digao k'o u bivola, pomazao me uljem prečistim;
But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox. I am anointed with fresh oil.
11 i oko mi s visoka gleda dušmane i uho mirno sluša o onima što na me ustaju.
My eye has also seen my enemies. My ears have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· of the wicked enemies who rise up against me.
12 K'o palma cvate pravednik i raste k'o cedar libanonski.
The upright shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Zasađeni u Domu Jahvinu, cvatu u dvorima Boga našega.
They are planted in Adonai’s house. They will flourish in our God’s courts.
14 Rod donose i u starosti, sočni i puni svježine:
They will still produce fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green,
15 da navijeste kako je pravedan Jahve, Hrid moja, onaj na kome nema nepravde.
to show that Adonai is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
