Psalmi 85
1 Zborovođi. Sinova Korahovih. Psalam. Zavolje opet, Jahve, zemlju svoju, na dobro okrenu udes Jakovljev.
For the end, a Psalm for the sons of Core. O Lord, thou has taken pleasure in thy land: thou hast turned back the captivity of Jacob.
2 Otpusti krivnju narodu svome, pokri sve grijehe njegove.
Thou hast forgiven thy people their transgressions; thou has covered all their sins. (Pause)
3 Suspregnu svu ljutinu svoju, odusta od žestine gnjeva svoga.
Thou has caused all thy wrath to cease: thou hast turned from thy fierce anger.
4 Obnovi nas, Bože, Spasitelju naš, i odbaci zlovolju prema nama!
Turn us, O God of our salvation, and turn thy anger away from us.
5 Zar ćeš se dovijeka gnjeviti na nas, prenositi srdžbu svoju od koljena na koljeno?
Wouldest thou be angry with us for ever? or wilt thou continue thy wrath from generation to generation?
6 Zar nas nećeš opet oživiti da se narod tvoj raduje u tebi?
O God, thou wilt turn and quicken us; and thy people shall rejoice in thee.
7 Pokaži nam, Jahve, milosrđe svoje i daj nam svoje spasenje.
Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.
8 Da poslušam što mi to Jahve govori: Jahve obećava mir narodu svomu, vjernima svojim, onima koji mu se svim srcem vrate.
I will hear what the Lord God will say concerning me: for he shall speak peace to his people, and to his saints, and to those that turn their heart toward him.
9 Zaista, blizu je njegovo spasenje onima koji ga se boje, i slava će njegova živjeti u zemlji našoj.
Moreover his salvation is near them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.
10 Ljubav će se i Vjernost sastati, Pravda i Mir zagrliti.
Mercy and truth are met together: righteousness and peace have kissed [each other].
11 Vjernost će nicat' iz zemlje, Pravda će gledat' s nebesa.
Truth has sprung out of the earth; and righteousness has looked down from heaven.
12 Jahve će dati blagoslov i sreću, i zemlja naša urod svoj.
For the Lord will give goodness; and our land shall yield her fruit.
13 Pravda će stupati pred njim, a Mir tragom stopa njegovih.
Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set his steps in the way.
