Psalmi 4
1 Zborovođi. Uz žičana glazbala. Psalam. Davidov. Kad zazovem, usliši me, Bože, pravdo moja, ti što me u tjeskobi izbavÄi: smiluj mi se, usliši moju molitvu!
`To the victorie in orguns; the salm of Dauid. Whanne Y inwardli clepid, God of my riytwisnesse herde me; in tribulacioun thou hast alargid to me.
2 Sinovi čovječji, dokle će vam srca ostati tvrda? Zašto ispraznost ljubite, opsjenu slijedite?
Haue thou mercy on me; and here thou my preier. Sones of men, hou long ben ye of heuy herte? whi louen ye vanite, and seken a leesyng?
3 Znajte: Jahve čudesno uzvisuje prijatelja svoga; Gospodin će me uslišiti kad ga zazovem.
And wite ye, that the Lord hath maad merueilous his hooli man; the Lord schal here me, whanne Y schal crye to hym.
4 Promislite u srcima i ne griješite, dršćite na svojim ležajima i zanijemite.
Be ye wrothe, and nyle ye do synne; `and for tho thingis whiche ye seien in youre hertis and in youre beddis, be ye compunct.
5 Prinesite žrtve pravedne, u Jahvu se uzdajte!
Sacrifie ye `the sacrifice of riytfulnesse, and hope ye in the Lord; many seien, Who schewide goodis to vs?
6 Mnogi govore: “Tko će nam pokazati sreću?” Obasjaj nas, Jahve, svjetlom svoga lica!
Lord, the liyt of thi cheer is markid on vs; thou hast youe gladnesse in myn herte.
7 Više si u srce moje ulio radosti nego kad obilno rode pšenica i vino.
Thei ben multiplied of the fruit of whete, and of wyn; and of her oile.
8 Čim legnem, odmah u miru i usnem, jer mi samo ti, o Jahve, daješ miran počinak.
In pees in the same thing; Y schal slepe, and take reste. For thou, Lord; hast set me syngulerli in hope.
