Psalmi 24
1 Psalam. Davidov. Jahvina je zemlja i sve na njoj, svijet i svi koji na njemu žive.
The earth and everything in it belongs to Yahweh; all the people in the world belong to him, too,
2 On ga na morima utemelji i na rijekama učvrsti.
because he caused the ground to be above the water, above the water that was deep below the surface of the earth.
3 Tko će uzići na Goru Jahvinu, tko će stajati na svetom mjestu njegovu?
Who will be allowed to go up on Zion Hill [in Jerusalem], in order to stand [and worship] in Yahweh’s holy temple?
4 Onaj u koga su ruke čiste i srce nedužno: duša mu se ne predaje ispraznosti, i ne kune se varavo.
[Only] those whose actions [MTY] and thoughts are pure, who have not worshiped idols, and who do not tell lies when they have solemnly promised [to tell the truth].
5 On blagoslov prima od Jahve i nagradu od Boga, Spasitelja svoga.
(They will be blessed by Yahweh/Yahweh will bless them). When God [judges them], he, who has saved them, will say that they (have done nothing wrong/are without fault).
6 Takav je naraštaj onih koji traže njega, koji traže lice Boga Jakovljeva.
They are the ones who approach God, they are the ones who may worship God, the one [we] Israelis worship.
7 “Podignite, vrata, nadvratnike svoje, dižite se, dveri vječne, da uniđe Kralj slave!”
Open up [APO] the [temple] gates in order that our glorious king may enter!
8 “Tko je taj Kralj slave?” “Jahve silan i junačan, Jahve silan u boju!”
[Do you know] who the glorious king is? He is Yahweh, the one who is very strong [DOU]; He is Yahweh, who conquers [all his enemies] in battles!
9 “Podignite, vrata, nadvratnike svoje dižite se, dveri vječne, da uniđe Kralj slave!”
Open up the [temple] gates in order that our glorious king may enter!
10 “Tko je taj Kralj slave?” “Jahve nad Vojskama - on je Kralj slave!”
[Do you know] who the glorious king is? He is Yahweh almighty; he is our glorious king!
