Psalmi 148
1 Aleluja! Hvalite Jahvu s nebesa, hvalite ga u visinama!
Praise ye the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens! Praise him in the heights!
2 Hvalite ga, svi anđeli njegovi, hvalite ga, sve vojske njegove!
Praise him, all ye his angels! Praise him, all ye his hosts!
3 Hvalite ga, sunce i mjeseče, hvalite ga, sve zvijezde svjetlosne!
Praise ye him, sun and moon! Praise him, all ye stars of light!
4 Hvalite ga, nebesa nebeska, i vode nad svodom nebeskim!
Praise him, ye heavens of heavens! Ye waters, that are above the heavens!
5 Neka hvale ime Jahvino jer on zapovjedi i postadoše.
Let them praise the name of the LORD; For he commanded, and they were created.
6 Postavi ih zauvijek i dovijeka po zakonu koji neće proći.
He hath also established them for ever; He hath given them a law, and they transgress it not.
7 Hvalite Jahvu sa zemlje, nemani morske i svi bezdani!
Praise the LORD from the earth, Ye sea-monsters, and all deeps!
8 Ognju i grÓade, sniježe i maglo, olujni vjetre, što riječ njegovu izvršavaš!
Fire and hail, snow and vapor; Thou tempest, that fulfillest his word!
9 Gore i svi brežuljci, plodonosna stabla i svi cedrovi!
Ye mountains, and all hills! Fruit-trees, and all cedars!
10 Zvijeri i sve životinje, gmizavci i ptice krilate!
Ye wild beasts, and all cattle! Ye creeping things, and winged birds!
11 Zemaljski kraljevi i svi narodi, knezovi i suci zemaljski!
Ye kings, and all peoples, Princes, and all judges of the earth!
12 Mladići i djevojke, starci s djecom zajedno:
Young men and maidens, Old men and children!
13 nek' svi hvale ime Jahvino, jer jedino je njegovo ime uzvišeno! Njegovo veličanstvo zemlju i nebo nadvisuje,
Let them praise the name of the LORD! For his name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and the heavens.
14 on podiže snagu svom narodu, on proslavlja svete svoje, sinove Izraelove - narod njemu blizak. Aleluja!
He exalteth the horn of his people, The glory of all his godly ones, Of the children of Israel, a people near to him. Praise ye the LORD!
