Psalmi 146

1 Aleluja! Hvali, dušo moja, Jahvu!

Hallelujah! Praise Jehovah, O my soul.

2 Hvalit ću Jahvu sveg života svojeg. Dok me bude, Bogu svom ću pjevati.

As long as I live will I praise Jehovah; I will sing psalms unto my God while I have my being.

3 Ne uzdajte se u knezove, u čovjeka od kog nema spasenja!

Put not confidence in nobles, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.

4 Iziđe li duh iz njega, u zemlju svoju on se vraća i propadaju sve misli njegove.

His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his purposes perish.

5 Blago onom kome je pomoćnik Bog Jakovljev, kome je ufanje u Jahvi, Bogu njegovu,

Blessed is he who hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Jehovah his God,

6 koji stvori nebo i zemlju, more i sve što je u njima; koji ostaje vjeran dovijeka,

Who made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is therein; who keepeth truth for ever;

7 potlačenima vraća pravicu, a gladnima kruh daje. Jahve oslobađa sužnje,

Who executeth judgment for the oppressed, who giveth bread to the hungry. Jehovah looseth the prisoners;

8 Jahve slijepcima oči otvara. Jahve uspravlja prignute, Jahve ljubi pravedne.

Jehovah openeth [the eyes of] the blind; Jehovah raiseth up them that are bowed down; Jehovah loveth the righteous;

9 Jahve štiti tuđince, sirote i udovice podupire, a grešnicima mrsi putove.

Jehovah preserveth the strangers; he lifteth up the fatherless and the widow; but the way of the wicked doth he subvert.

10 Jahve će kraljevati dovijeka, tvoj Bog, Sione, od koljena do koljena. Aleluja!

Jehovah will reign for ever, [even] thy God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Hallelujah!
