1 Aleluja! Hvalite ime Jahvino, hvalite, sluge Jahvine
Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Name of the Lord: ye seruants of the Lord, praise him.
2 koji u Domu Jahvinu stojite u predvorjima Doma Boga našega!
Ye that stande in the House of the Lord, and in the courtes of the House of our God,
3 Hvalite Jahvu jer dobar je Jahve, pjevajte imenu njegovu jer je ljupko!
Praise ye the Lord: for the Lord is good: sing praises vnto his Name: for it is a comely thing.
4 Jer Jahve sebi odabra Jakova, Izraela za dragu svojinu.
For the Lord hath chosen Iaakob to himselfe, and Israel for his chiefe treasure.
5 Znadem da je velik Jahve, da je nad bozima svim gospodar.
For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is aboue all gods.
6 Što god se Jahvi svidi, to čini na nebu i na zemlji, na moru i u bezdanima.
Whatsoeuer pleased the Lord, that did hee in heauen and in earth, in the sea, and in all the depths.
7 Oblake diže s kraja zemlje; stvara kiši munje, vjetar izvodi iz skrovišta njegovih.
He bringeth vp the cloudes from the ends of the earth, and maketh the lightnings with ye raine: he draweth foorth the winde out of his treasures.
8 On Egiptu pobi prvorođence, ljude i stoku podjednako.
He smote the first borne of Egypt both of man and beast.
9 On učini znamenja i čudesa usred tebe, Egipte, protiv Faraona i svih slugu njegovih.
He hath sent tokens and wonders into the middes of thee, O Egypt, vpon Pharaoh, and vpon all his seruants.
10 On pobi narode mnoge i pogubi kraljeve moćne:
He smote many nations, and slew mightie Kings:
11 Sihona, kralja amorejskog, i Oga, kralja bašanskog, i sva kraljevstva kanaanska.
As Sihon King of the Amorites, and Og King of Bashan, and all the kingdomes of Canaan:
12 I dade njihovu zemlju u baštinu, u baštinu Izraelu, narodu svom.
And gaue their lande for an inheritance, euen an inheritance vnto Israel his people.
13 Ime tvoje, o Jahve, ostaje dovijeka i spomen na te, o Jahve, od koljena do koljena.
Thy Name, O Lord, endureth for euer: O Lord, thy remembrance is from generation to generation.
14 Jer Jahve štiti narod svoj, slugama svojim on je milostiv.
For the Lord will iudge his people, and be pacified towardes his seruants.
15 Kumiri poganski, srebro i zlato, ljudskih su ruku djelo:
The idoles of the heathen are siluer and golde, euen the worke of mens handes.
16 usta imaju, a ne govore; oči imaju, a ne vide;
They haue a mouth, and speake not: they haue eyes and see not.
17 uši imaju, a ne čuju; i nema daha u ustima njihovim.
They haue eares and heare not, neither is there any breath in their mouth.
18 Takvi su i oni koji ih napraviše i svi koji se u njih uzdaju.
They that make them, are like vnto them: so are all that trust in them.
19 Dome Izraelov, Jahvu blagoslivljaj! Dome Aronov, Jahvu blagoslivljaj!
Praise the Lord, ye house of Israel: praise the Lord, ye house of Aaron.
20 Dome Levijev, Jahvu blagoslivljaj! Štovatelji Jahvini, Jahvu blagoslivljajte!
Praise the Lord, ye house of Leui: ye that feare the Lord, praise the Lord.
21 Blagoslovljen sa Siona Jahve koji prebiva u Jeruzalemu!
Praised bee the Lord out of Zion, which dwelleth in Ierusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
