Psalmi 125

1 Hodočasnička pjesma. Tko se uzda u Jahvu, on je kao brdo Sion: ne pomiče se, ostaje dovijeka.

“A song of the degrees.” Those who trust in the Lord are like mount Zion, which will not he moved, which endureth for ever.

2 Bregovi okružuju Jeruzalem: Jahve okružuje narod svoj odsada i dovijeka.

Jerusalem hath mountains round about her: and [so] is the Lord round about his people, from this time forth and for evermore.

3 I neće vladati žezlo bezbožničko nad udesom pravednih, da ne bi pravedni ruke za bezakonjem pružili.

For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous: in order that the righteous may not stretch forth their hands unto wrong-doing.

4 Učini, Jahve, dobro dobrima i čestitima u srcu.

Do good, O Lord, unto the good, and to those that are upright in their hearts.

5 A koji na krive skreću putove nek' ih istrijebi Jahve sa zločincima! Mir nad Izraelom!

But as for those who turn aside unto their crooked ways, them will the Lord drive away with the workers of wickedness; but peace shall be upon Israel.
