< Psalmi 115 >

1 Ne nama, o Jahve, ne nama, već svom imenu slavu daj zbog ljubavi i vjernosti svoje.
Not unto us, O Jehovah, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth's sake.
2 Zašto da govore pogani: “TÓa gdje je Bog njihov?”
Wherefore should the nations say, Where then is their God?
3 Naš je Bog na nebesima, sve što mu se svidi to učini.
But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he pleased.
4 Idoli su njihovi srebro i zlato, ljudskih su ruku djelo.
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands:
5 Usta imaju, a ne govore, oči imaju, a ne vide.
They have a mouth, and they speak not; eyes have they, and they see not;
6 Uši imaju, a ne čuju, nosnice, a ne mirišu.
They have ears, and they hear not; a nose have they, and they smell not;
7 Ruke imaju, a ne hvataju, noge imaju, a ne hodaju; glas im iz grla ne izlazi.
They have hands, and they handle not; feet have they, and they walk not; they give no sound through their throat.
8 Takvi su i oni koji ih napraviše i svi koji se u njih uzdaju.
They that make them are like unto them, — every one that confideth in them.
9 Dome Izraelov, u Jahvu se uzdaj! - On je štit i pomoćnik njihov.
O Israel, confide thou in Jehovah: he is their help and their shield.
10 Dome Aronov, u Jahvu se uzdaj! - On je štit i pomoćnik njihov.
House of Aaron, confide in Jehovah: he is their help and their shield.
11 Štovatelji Jahvini, u Jahvu se uzdajte! - On je štit i pomoćnik njihov.
Ye that fear Jehovah, confide in Jehovah: he is their help and their shield.
12 Jahve će se nas spomenut' i on će nas blagoslovit': blagoslovit će dom Izraelov, blagoslovit će dom Aronov,
Jehovah hath been mindful of us: he will bless, he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron;
13 blagoslovit će one koji se Jahve boje - i male i velike.
He will bless them that fear Jehovah, both the small and the great.
14 Umnožio vas Jahve, vas i vaše sinove!
Jehovah will add unto you more, unto you and unto your children.
15 Blagoslovio vas Jahve koji stvori nebo i zemlju!
Ye are blessed of Jehovah, who made the heavens and the earth.
16 Nebo je nebo Jahvino, a zemlju dade sinovima čovječjim.
The heavens are the heavens of Jehovah, but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
17 Ne, Jahvu mrtvi ne hvale, nitko od onih što siđu u Podzemlje.
The dead praise not Jah, neither any that go down into silence;
18 Mi živi, mi Jahvu slavimo sada i dovijeka. Aleluja.
But we will bless Jah from this time forth and for evermore. Hallelujah!
